I didn't know about this Bambu location! If you want authentic vietnamese desserts then this is the place for you. They offer so many different dessert items on their menu (drinks and snacks). The place is so cute, cozy, and clean. My personal favorite would have to be the #10 Bambu's favorite. A popular dessert option would be #3 Awesome Trio (aka Che Ba Mau). I am give 4 instead of 5 stars because there was a girl working and it seemed like she did not enjoy her job and she was very "whatever" attitude about taking my order. I came into this restaurant out of curiosity not expecting to order anything but the gentleman who took my order was so kind I couldn't help but order something. While I was waiting for my açaí bowl, I was taken aback by the warm ambiance, the whole room smelt like pandan, it felt like a cosy home. After a few minutes, my order was hand delivered by that wholesome gentleman. Update: the owner of this business is such a liar. Told me to reach out to Square regarding my $8 reward but Square came back and said reward loyalty is from the business and that i need to settle with the business. This is a bad business, trying to maximize profits over customer satisfaction. This business cheats on drinks when they are out on some of the ingredients. I went to this place to ordered 3 #13 Halo Halo Drinks. When ordering i was told that they were out of some of the jelly and ask if i wanted to get something in place of the jelly. I told them they can give me more of the red beans. I redeemed $8 of rewards and paid the remaining balance. When the drinks came out, i looked at them and complained that the drinks were not full to the top like the many previous time i had ordered. The lady in the back came out with an attitude and start saying that she told me that they were out of some of the jelly. I told her that she was supposed to give me more red beans for the missing jelly. She refused and started arguing. I told her that if she is going to cheat on the drinks, i wanted to get my money back. I asked for my $8 reward back as well but she said i can't get the $8. I argued and she called a guy out to talk to me. We argued about how the drinks look and he said i was insulting him by saying that the drinks were not full. BAMBU desserts have always been delicious. I've been to a few locations in SoCal, a few from NorCal as well. This by far was the most disappointing. I've never seen the cup be filled this low before, half the cup is air space. You're paying $8 for a cup and half of it is ice. I brought it up to the cashier and she just said that she'll have to charge me extra if I want more coconut milk added to it. It makes no sense since it should already be filled to begin with. I told her that this is the lowest I've ever seen it be filled and she said "sorry I didn't make it" and shrugged. That was it. Very upsetting experience. How in the world does this place have a 4.5 ? Came in around 5:40 PM for some panda waffles, unfortunately, the owners said they're sold out already since there's a "few" people ahead of me. Disappointing, but nevertheless, I opted to order some sugarcane juice to satisfy my sweet tooth. After paying $8.16 for a large, the lady that took my order says it'll be 15 minute wait for a cup of sugar cane juice. I find it ridiculous considering the fact that if you go to any sugarcane juice place like Cococane, wait time are way less than that; 10 minutes at most during rush hour. Bambu was not "busy," and for their "large" size drink, it is the equivalent of a 20 oz Tastea drink. The sugarcane was not sweet whatsoever, it tasted like diluted juice. If anyone ever has sugarcane juice, you'd expect a refreshing ice cold and sweet drink packed full of flavors and sweetness. What I received tasted like leftover sugarcane juice that's been sitting in ice for a period of time and then they took it out to serve. This has been the biggest scam I've experienced at this place. More importantly, a disappointment to the Vietnamese community for the quality that they serve. This place is might as well be the McDonald's of Vietnamese desserts and drinks. 10/10 will not patron this place again. On a side note, I'm glad that they sold out of pandan waffles, otherwise I'd be even more mad at myself. I felt like pulling out my nails while ordering. I wanted good che and avocado and this person could not provide decent help. First parking is finally better there are no pot holes. A big lot to park in so not too compact. Good points here. Atmosphere is horrible even a horror movie feels better. No AC, and the air is dry and smells like the place has not been cleaned. There is no ventilation and the doors are kept closed so no cool air even in the evenings. Price is $1 or $2 more than the bolsa street location. No free add ons, replacements, or substation's. I have to pay more for worse experience. Customer service is horrid. I had to wait over 20 mins to Just see my drinks being made. Stumbled upon this place by chance as we just had dinner at the neighboring Paradise Buffet and wifey wanted some boba. This place is a gem! They have freshly made pandan-flavored waffles which is absolutely delicious.
