We came to Bamboo on a Tuesday, right when it opened for an early lunch. We ordered the Chinese broccoli with pork belly, the eggplant clay pot, and the wonton noodle soup. I would recommend the Chinese broccoli and eggplant dishes as they were served sizzling hot and had a great flavor. The wonton soup was underwhelming and I would not order again. After having only eaten at Pechanga's food court, Bamboo was a nice change of pace and we would come back to eat here the next time we stay on site. read more

My experience here started off poorly, and ended up being average. First off, when we checked in, there was no one in line ahead of, or behind us. The restaurant looked to be about 15% full, so I was expecting to be seated right away. Sadly, we were not. I do not know if this is a tactic they use to allow customers more time to gamble, or think about gambling, but it made no sense to me otherwise. There seemed to be plenty of staff on hand, and a ton of open tables. Needless to say, I was not happy when they handed us (party of 2) a pager, and informed us of a 15-20 minute wait. The restaurant itself looked nice, and the menu had what we were craving, so we took the pager and waited. Although I did not like having to wait for an available table to somehow become more available, I was happy that their 15-20 minute estimate was at least accurate. Once we were seated, our experience improved... Our server, Ping, was professional and checked in on us a couple times throughout our meal. I ordered their version of Pho Tai (basically rare steak Pho - number 81 on their menu), and my wife ordered their wonton noodle soup (number 31). I did not taste hers, but she finished it, and said it tasted good. Mine was just okay. If I have tried ten different Pho spots, I would say Bamboo would rank 5th or 6th in taste. Definitely edible, but nothing I would make an effort to come back for. What ending up saving this experience for me was Ping's service. The service prior to that was lacking, and the food was just average. I would be open to coming back and trying other dishes, but only if we were seated promptly. read more

Wonton noodle soup with ho fun noodles was delicious, the wonton taste so good a mixture of pork and shrimp. The soup could use a little more flavor tho a dash of soy sauce made it better. Very disappointed, food was ok. Service was subpar. Servers appeared rushed. Took over ten minutes after seating just to get a glass of water, over half an hour to get appetizer. As soon as that came the server suddenly started to pay attention to us. She must have asked 3 times in 10 minutes if we were ready to order dinner. (I overheard her tell a table close by that she couldn't help them because her shift was ending). I would have to say this place has some really good Pho. I liked the broth and the meat that came with it. I don't know if I just caught the person preparing it on a good day but damn it was a really good Pho. All the other dishes were pretty good as well except for one. Interesting that this place rates as a 3.5 stars because that is what I would give it if I could. I'll round up and give them 4 stars. I would go if I was "in the mood for it" and in the area. If you are at the casino or driving by on the 15, or just find yourself in Temecula, it is worth the trip. It has some good slurpy noodles, or flaming hot Thai food, and as far as Asian food it will get the job done and might be towards the top for Temecula. It is very extensive as far as the menu... Lots of noodles. Different types of food from Asia: Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino, others that I cannot remember. They had a bass (cod?) in tea that you see, like at P.F. Changs, that is pretty good too. If you like Asian food, I have heard a few people rave about it because it has menu items not found everywhere else. A Filipino friend I went with once, commented on the soups that they have there that is not easy to find. Again, the menu is extensive. The place is the newest establishment at Pechanga and shamelessly caters to a significant portion of the clientele, placed as close to bacarrat, Pai Gow and other Asian card table games. The other time I went with a guy who lived in Japan and he loved it. The service is allright--college aged kids who either put in too little or too much effort, no real "pros" but nothing bad either. I thought that's this was such a tasty place. It's a fusion of Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Filipino cuisine. My family came in and ordered the brisket pho, chicken fried rice, sautéed green bean, fried noodles, fried donut, glass noodle dish, and orange chicken with sesame served with a big bowl of white rice. So let me start off at this oh so wonderful establishment I understand that it's a restaurant located in a casino but come on have a system in place to make sure that your host knows who came first and not seating those who waited for like 5 minutes and got seated right away. The icing on the cake is that once seated it takes them another 30 minutes of waiting to be served and no greetings right away from the server. The only saving grace is that I'm starving and everything else has a wait. For as much as they charge for food, this place should be cleaner. The first table they sat me at wasn't even wiped and the waiter even said it. It had trash and chopsticks under the table. Seating setting is ok - nothing fancy or special when you take into consideration the newly renovated hotel entrance. Menu does not have a huge variety. Food portions are medium compared to prices. There are not many late night food options in Temecula, the town seems to roll up around 9:30pm. At first I wanted to dismiss this place because it seemed like "casino food" but once I stepped into the dining area I was very surprised with the modern Asian design. Our server was prompt, articulate, and knowledgeable with menu (he even knew the item numbers by memory). I enjoyed the fried tofu appetizer, udon noodles, and Hite beer, a rare adult beverage imported from Korea. The food is very good, the decor is very pleasing to the eye, and everyone had a good time. As a bonus they are open until 3am on the weedays, so if you're craving a late night meal stop by. read more

My family and I love Pechanga and have been coming here when it was operated in a tent. My In laws come here almost every weekends and all major holidays. We have been going to Bamboo for many years for its great Asian Fushion dishes. We have great service at all the restaurants at Pechanga all these years except for today at Bamboo at noon time. We ordered four dishes, seafood clay pot, kalbi ribs, seafood lo mein and shaken beef. The food was excellent, however. our server was terrible, the worst. She constantly told told us to wait because she said she's busy whenever we need something. While we were waiting to order food, she told us to wait about two minutes. After at least 15 minutes, she finally took our orders. While we were eating, my father in law asked for water with a lemon wedge. She said that the restaurant ran out of lemon and left for another table. She didn't even go into the back kitchen and check and yet she know the whole entire restaurant ran out of lemons. I looked around, everyone who ordered lemon water got what they wanted. After she left to help another table, we asked the helper, he brought us the water with lemon immediately. Our table ran out of rice. We ordered for more rice. She told us to wait again. She did bring the rice when we finish all of our food at the end. She brought two small bowls of rice, She told us that she could not hear us and made us feel like the rice was for another table, but still gave us rice anyway. During the whole entire time, she never once come and check on our table, clear out empty plates, or ask for refill. It was us asking for what we need and never got it delivered. Instead of apologizing that for the delays, she told us that we misunderstood her and she did not hear us when we ordered rice. There were six people at my table. We all heard her acknowledged that my father in law ordered the rice, yet she told us she didn't hear him. She told us the lemon arrived to the kitchen after she told us the restaurant ran out of lemon. We felt that she was lying to us to cover for her mistakes. Of course it was never her fault for providing us the worst service ever. I believe what we asked her as not unreasonable. As a service provider, I believe if you are too busy and can't handle too many tables, then you need to ask for help from other staff. Your job is to provide great customer service. I believe you need to listen to your customer and write it down if you are forgetful. If you can't understand what the customer is asking for, you need to verify. You can't pretend that you heard the customer and ignore their request. My family and I were very disappointed. Although the food was great, but the awful customer service from the terrible server really ruin our day. We may consider coming here again but we will request for a different server. I hope the restaurant management take this review seriously and train this staff to be a better server. My review of 1 star is only for the server. We didn't know the server's name, but we do recognize her appearance, non Asian, shoulder length black hair, and tall and slim. Wow, this place has gone downhill fast. My family and I ordered the same exact times we did during our last visit to bamboo and all of the dishes were unsatisfactory. It seems like the chef or cook forgot to add any spices to our dishes. When we complained to our waitress she just looked at us with a blank expression and offered no apologies or anything. When I questioned her about it. She said. "To be honest with you, the management could not care less about the quality of this place". She then told me she was planning in quitting. So I guess it's no more bamboo because the food now is just about tasty as real bamboo. read more

My sister is a regular at Pechanga and she normally gets comped for food. Out of all the places she's tried, she likes Bamboo the best. I've eaten here 3 times and all 3 times it has been a really good dining experience. I'm an extremely picky reviewer when it comes to Asian food and I am happy to report that Bamboo has never failed to deliver on "authentic" asian taste when it comes to dining at a Casino. It might not be as good as Little Saigon or Alhambra, but it surely does get at least a B in terms of taste, which is much more than you can expect from a Casino. Dishes that we've tried that we enjoyed: 1) Yang Chow Fried Rice 2) Pho Bo Kho: Beef Stew with Rice Noodles. Flavor is good. Some pieces of meat needed to be cooked more tender though. Tons of tendon which I love! 3) Shrimp and Chicken Teriyaki Bento 4) NY Steak and Tempura Bento 5) Ca Kho To: Carmelized fish filet 6) Seafood Porridge: A bit bland. This is perfect though if you're feeling sick. 7) Chinese Broccoli The prices are a little higher than you would normally pay in a restaurant but considering it's located inside the Casino, it seems about right. Service has always been good every time we come here. You get a discount if you have their player's card so remember to show that to your waitress. read more

I was here with my family on a visit to grab a late dinner. We ordered an array of entrées such as fresh black mushroom with chicken, caramelized braised fish fillet, sweet and sour fish fillet soup, steamed Chilean sea bass, with rice. every dish was very good with a gourmet taste and presentation. The only thing that was not great was the sweet and sour fish fillet soup that was very bland and missing the signature mix of sweet and tanginess when cooked the right way like my mom does. The desserts were to die for! We ordered the server's recommendations: the coconut cheese cake, and the lychee fruit cocktail. Click to find out. Pechanga Casino and Resort has been growing at a rapid pace. Before, there was only a few restaurants, such as a steakhouse and buffet. Today, there are multiple restaurants that strive for your attention. Given that Temecula is not known for Asian food, we thought that Bamboo would be a place to try out their Pho, a Vietnamese Noodle Soup. The environment is very nice, with white tablecloths, and bamboo plants around the restaurant. The only downside that it is close to the casino floor, so you hear the ringing of the slot machines in the background. Our waitress was very nice, and was engaging in conversation and suggestions. Appetizers ranged from the mid-$6 to an upwards of $30, which I thought was a bit much in a restaurant in a casino (Then again, Las Vegas restaurants are similar). We decided to order the Szechuan Wontons with Chili Oil, per the waitress' suggestion. These wontons were boiled, and were filled with a pork meatball with shrimp. It was topped of with Chili Oil on top. Overall, I thought the plating was good. The taste of the wonton was decent- the first one I ate was a little overpowering on the Chili Oil and was still a little watery. The spinach in the middle didn't have any flavor, so I didn't really care for it. Both my friend and I decided to get the Pho Tai, a Vietnamese Noodle Soup with slices of Eye Round Steak. It was little pricey at $8.95, and it was only with one choice of meat. In other restaurants, I would be able to get a combination Pho (which usually has steak, flank, tendon, and meatballs) for around $7. Furthermore, there was only one size (other restaurants would offer two sizes). Once it came, it looked and smelled good. It was very aromatic. Unfortunately, it was a subpar, as it was watered down. I usually don't add anything to Pho, as I believe that the broth should stand on its own- I was a little let down for the price. Although the meat and noodles were good, I wished there was more flavor behind the broth. Maybe Vietnamese Cusine isn't their shining star, as Yelp reviewers raved for their Bi Bim Bap (a Korean Dish) and Boba Thai Iced Tea. In the end, I will need to go back to Orange Country to fulfill my future Pho cravings. Don't eat at casino restaurants, unless you're in Las Vegas. If anything, just go to Pechanga for the drinks. read more

Stay away! Terrible customer service! We waited at our table for 20 minutes and did not get any service. I got up to tell the hostess that we are going to leave because no one has come to our table. She did not apologize, she just asked what table, and crossed us off her list. I then asked to speak with the manager, and he had the same attitude as the hostess. So instead of sending someone over to at least take our drink order, he just coldly said he was sorry and shrugged his shoulders. Most places would try to correct the situation by sending someone over. Very disappointing! So we left. read more

I read Yelp reviews so that way I know what to order and what to skip. My yelp reviews really just describe the dished I've tried and if it's worth ordering again. Items I've had here. 1. Wonton soup - Light broth slightly sweet and good wontons with fresh spinach on top. Taste like the wonton soup from Blazing Noodles. Would order again. 2. Ca Kho To - This is a viet braised catfish dish to eat with steamed rice. Not what I'm used to since they used talapia/swai filets no bone. Not bad. 3. Canh Chua Ca - Sweet and sour catfish soup. Again they used talapia/swai filets no bone. The broth was nice and had the scent of canh chua. Not bad. 4. Salmon fried rice - I don't see this on the menu but I saw pics on yelp so ordered it. Bits of salmon in the fried rice topped with lots of fried garlic. A little light on salt for me but had that wok hei flavor and my favorite dish. 5. Bo Luc Lac - I'm used to Bo Luc Lac from Newport Seafood and this wasn't good. Hard to describe why this dish was "off" for me. The meat maybe not that tender and the seasoning was ok. Stopped by Pechanga to check out the restaurants for lunch. Chose Bamboo as we love Asian food and the menu looked good. I ordered the Bulgogi and my husband got the crispy pork belly. Both were very good and tasty. I asked if they had yum yum sauce which we like with our Asian dishes - the server said no but said if I knew what was in it he would try to make it. He brought back something that was like a spicy mayo but it did the trick. I was impressed that he was willing to find something that was similar. read more

Staff was very accommodating to me wanting to substitute other protein choices for tofu. Food is delicious! I get the spicy chicken basil and noodles (but with tofu).
