Orange chicken, butter shrimp with half n half
Rudy N.

Stopped here after work. I would say they are a good solid place to have a quick take out for dinner. The food is hot and has flavor, they don't skip on the portion size. The service is quick and friendly. Plenty of seating inside and lots of parking.

I actually think this is the best Chinese food place in town. The wor wonton soup is the best in town so far, and I enjoy the taste of everything. The chow mein, fried rice, cream cheese wontons, orange chicken, beef and broccoli. Everyone has been super nice every time I've been here. Lots to choose from as well. While it is clean I do wish they would put some of the extra storage stuff in the back and not in the side. If they could also clean the cash register and area around it with all the post it's the place would look a lot better !!

From the last time I went here it seem like there more seating. But I can't go wrong with this place for a quick bite to eat when you're not feeling the other fast food spot near you. The staff is very friendly and there always someone in line ordering something to go or to sit down. But this my spot for the butter shrimp it reminds me of that panda palace back in the day down Oak St.

Combo 1 Orange Chicken

Tried Bamboo cafe for the first time and got a 1 item combo. Although I liked the flavor of the orange chicken, the texture of the chicken was inconsistent. Some pieces were chewy and some though. I did like their chow mein and rice. The service was fast and friendly and the portion was a decent size.

When you pull up their windows are covered with their advertising and you can't really see inside. Please don't let that stop you though, the smells that smack you in the face the moment you open the door is insane. They were putting out fresh food as we were walking in and it looked very appetizing. We went for my husband and I had no plans on getting anything, but the smells got me. The service was amazing and the restaurant was immaculate. I got the orange chicken, beef and broccoli and the mushroom chicken. The cuts of meat were huge and just covered in sauce, husband got black pepper beef, BBQ chicken, and the kung Pao chicken. He said it was delicious and enjoyed all of it. Now the chow mein noodles are thicker than I like but the flavor was nice. It was so much food that we will have dinner, lunch and dinner again for the next day. Best fast food Chinese food I've had recently. When we are in the area we will definitely go back. It was so good I forgot to take pictures of the food, next time for sure.

If you're looking for a spot with the friendliest customer service where you're treated like family, this is the place to go! They offer a huge selection of dishes, and everything is incredibly fresh. Plus, they pack your plate generously! I ordered the BBQ pork, shrimp with vegetables, and beef with green beans--each dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband got the BBQ pork, black pepper beef, and garlic chicken. We couldn't help but share bites from each other's plates because everything was so good! I'm already eyeing the wings for next time since they looked absolutely scrumptious. They even have soup to complete your meal! With savory, satisfying food, great prices, and large portions, you definitely won't regret stopping by. Best of all, if you can't make it in person, they're available on Uber Eats and DoorDash. Delicious food brought straight to your door--what more could you ask for? Highly recommend!

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. Old Oil taste, Chow Mein tasted like fish and noodles were doughy! Every single piece of chicken in Kung Pao & Orange Chicken was wobbly, greasy, grissely and tendons! More celery and dried hot peppers in Kung Pao than chicken! Like a whole stalk of celery! Horrible...Horrible...Horrible food! I've never written a review on here before, but this experience warranted for an honest review to warn people!

Always very fast and super friendly staff. Food is great and made fresh to order like the potstickers or spring rolls. It's always busy, so that's how you know it's really good.

It saddens Me to write this review. I've enjoyed China Garden for years, via delivery, but this…read morelast visit was very disappointing. This time the son and I decided to dine in and the food was borderline spoiled, nothing tasted fresh and it wasn't hot, nor warm. Our food was borderline cold. The interior was dusty and in need of attention, especially the fake plants. Though spacious when we entered there wasn't a soul in the place, which was a red flag, but per usuh we brought people. I'm not sure if our food was so nasty because we ordered a lunch special and they reserve what's going bad for those orders because the other four families dining in didn't seem to be having the same experience. What saved this review from being a 1 star review and the only reason I didn't complain to the waitress about the quality of the food is because the only server was elderly and unable to pick up her feet and my very gracious son said to lig, so I did, but it appears if the couple who runs the restaurant doesn't get some help soon they may need to close their doors.

I'm not posting pictures because I eat the same thing every time I come here. I always get an egg foo young. Everything is always consistent. The waitress always remembers what your order is. There's never any complaints here so it needs to be more busy!! Please tip the waitress! She works very long hours.

Heard about this place on IG... So I thought I would give it a try. I was super excited to go in…read moreand try since the review on IG sounded like the food was amazing. The place is like your standard Chinese takeout restaurant, where you have premade dishes, ready to be served with white rice, fried rice, or chow mein noodles. The menu has standard items such as orange chicken, general, chicken, chicken, teriyaki, honey, walnut, shrimp, honey, chicken, mushroom chicken, and so. They also offer egg rolls, cream, cheese, wontons, and soup. What stands out about this place is that they offer a catering menu, unlike some of the other homegrown Chinese takeout places. The restaurant itself is very clean although had a strong smell of Fabuloso and the tables in the floors were a bit sticky. They have one singular bathroom and it was clean. The person who took my order was very nice, friendly, and professional. She was very eager to give me a taste of the entrées in case I wasn't sure what I wanted to eat and I thought that was very cool. I purchased a bowl with half fried rice and half chow mein, and one entrée. For my entrée chose the honey shrimp. my meal came with a fountain drink so that was good. The entrée is $9.99 however, because I got the shrimp, it was a little bit extra. I wish I had gone when the IG people were there doing their reel... Because my food didn't taste anything like how they described it. The honey shrimp was very tasty and the shrimp was cooked perfectly however, every now and then I would get a huge puffy piece. I was not impressed with the fried rice nor the chow mein. I was expecting it to have a wok-seared flavor, like how it was described by the couple doing the reel on IG. For me, it was very plain, in fact, at one point, I thought the chow mein noodles were spaghetti noodles. While the meal satisfied my hunger, since it was dinner time, I likely will not be going back... Sorry, peeps I still have not found good Chinese food in Bakersfield. I hope you have a different experience, and if you do, enjoy!

The most amazing and delicious pho I have ever had in Bakersfield!…read more There's plenty of parking, it shares the lot with other stores but there's always parking. The restaurant was so clean and relaxing. Definitely felt comfortable and welcomed. The service was 10/10. We even asked for recommendations and they did not disappoint. In comes my relationship with the Wonton soup. Quite frankly the relationship was inappropriate, toxic even. It really wasn't that good but I kept ordering it ???? With a touch of MSG and some probably costco bought wontons, I slowly returned to my original form. Now flip the narrative. One day after work I'm kinda sad... being an LA boy I missed my asian cuisine. Mom was out at MahJong and dad was idk planting flowers or something (he's retired now so I guess he picked up Botany). Out comes the beef chow fun. Quite frankly it itched my chinese tickle. You know its good when it's named "fun." That's "noodles" in Mandarin for my non-Mandarin friends. 5 out of 5. This ain't the country side of BeiJing but it'll do.
