From the moment you arrive until the time you leave, every detail is perfect. Greg, the owner, is incredibly welcoming & attentive; he treats us like family. The vibe is truly inviting, super amazing & memorable! Wide variety of fresh / expertly cooked seafood, grilled steaks, salads, soups, OMG lobster mac & cheese, burgers, tacos, and scrumptious desserts! Everything is delicious, and prices are more than reasonable, outstanding value! Highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends. You can BYOB; however, their wine selection is impressive as well. Generous portions, secure parking, and impeccably clean restrooms. Servers are always friendly and accommodating, happily fulfilling special requests. Nice music & occasional live entertainment enhance the experience. We always start with our favorite Arugula salad - generous portions. House salad, also incredible! We adore Garlic Old Bay Shrimp appetizers, fried calamari, crab cakes, BUTTERY lobster rolls, OMG! For our entrées, we couldn't resist going all in! Linguine in Garlic Sauce, steamed clams, mussels, grilled salmon! PLEASE order Key Lime pie!! What impresses me most is Greg's passion & creativity in delivering exceptional, high-quality food. I promise you won't be disappointed, spotlessly clean, superior food, and exceptionally friendly customer-centric service! SPECIAL Shout out to Bilge, our server was OUTSTANDING on Saturday, 6/13/26! We've been to Jack's many times, and we'll keep coming back! The Millburn, NJ, location is equally fantastic! Carla Wright

But the awesome Fish Delish offers a slight conundrum as the fish-and-chips is a great choice but they're also crafting some other offerings that can't be found anywhere else. The salmon dog is great for the palate and for the 'gram. Even as someone who controversially extends the boundaries of what counts as hand food, I had to use a fork for this epic sandwich. The fish is great, as are the bells and whistles. Wasabi mayo is enticing but my favorite component was the smoked mozzarella.

The cod fish & chips, at $19.50, consists of flavorful filets and is now a large enough portion to be a whole meal. When I dined in, I was offered one of three kinds of mayo dip - spicy, garlic-infused, and one more that I can't remember - as a supplement to their creamy tartar sauce. in addition, clam chowder has been added to the menu. I agree with another poster that it would have done well to have more briny clam flavor, but nevertheless, it was still good enough for me to finish. I really like that the person running the front of house brought the orders to the table, greeted frequent patrons with a "nice to see you again", and asked everyone if the food was good. I'm interested to see how my next visit goes!

We were seated in the back area as there was about 8 to 10 of us. The well drinks (tito, margarita, etc) were priced at $10 and appetizers priced at the same. I ordered a lemon drop martini to drink, grilled oysters and steak crostini to eat. My grilled oysters were okay, except for one that has some "crunch"...lol to it. My steak was medium and cooked as ordered. But the show stopper was definitely the lemon drop martini, it was a good strong. So I ordered a second. The other girls really enjoyed their Caesar salad and mango margaritas. Our service was a bit slow, but good overall. Good happy hour spot, with a parking lot.

Also there is a parking lot, and they were offering valet when we went. I enjoyed the food I had as an entree (steak frites). What I didn't like was our waiter was constantly trying to up charge us. He kept asking if we wanted to add specific things to all our orders and even if we said no, he still insisted on it. This even occurred with shots of alcohol. I explicitly said I was driving and didn't want it and still shots were brought out with out us even asking. We thought maybe he was being very nice. Or maybe something was included we didn't know about ( what was added were things like a Caesar salad, Brussel sprouts, and sweet potato fries so it easy to see how we didn't see it was things out of the ordinary included as sides for meals) or we were for some reason getting something comped, but that was not the case. Our bill was ASTRONOMICAL. If we didn't have these items we didn't want added on, it would have been fine but this type of way of doing business makes me never want to go back. We considered fighting the bill, but we did eat the food because at the time we thought it was either included or comped. Please be aware of this if you visit this restaurant, and if you are insisted upon adding things to your order learn from our mistake and ask more questions if it's included or make sure you explicitly say NO.

The portions were big enough for 2 people with both plates. The big ass plate had old bay on it but the food was still bland no flavor. The broccoli was extremely mushy. It's real crab meat on top of some seasoned fries, but the flavors were just OK.

From a food perspective, our meal initiated with a basket of some of the best rolls I had ever had. They were large, fluffy, and doughy with a hint of crispiness from a light toasting. We then shared the Veal and Beef Meatball, which was gigantic but still managed to have the ideal texture. It was also beautifully seasoned and served in what the chef called his "grandma's plum tomato sauce", which was divine! The sauce was thick and hearty, so when that was paired with pecorino cheese and basil oil, it really made for a fabulous dish. I even cut off a small piece to put inside my roll with a spoonful of sauce - chef's kiss! After that, we enjoyed some of the house-made pasta dishes, tasting each in a family-style format. The Squid Ink Bucatini was tossed with scallops, shrimp, and jumbo lump crab in a seafood tomato sauce. I did not love the briny finish to the sauce or that some of the scallops were chewy. The Tagliatelle with Duck Bolognese, tomatoes, and carrots was good, but I prefer my pomodoro sauce without the addition of a "light cream". Lastly, the special Spaghetti came with lobster, crab, and peas in vodka sauce. That one was definitely my favorite. While I do not love peas, the sauce was rich and flavorful. Across these last two dishes, I thought the pasta was a tad overcooked and could have been more al dente; the bucatini consistency was more inline with my preferences. Overall, I thought the food at Laboratorio Kitchen was above average, but that the service and atmosphere helped elevate the place. I would definitely consider going back to try some of their other dishes.
