This place is getting old! They seriously need an update!! I had no hot water for the days I was here. They kept telling me it would get fixed but it never did. The rooms are old and need serious updating! The staff are not great... not terrible, but not great. You can tell they are worn from complaints. The front bar in here is cramped, dark and again could really use a refresh! I had a coworker that they put into a room where the ceiling had fallen in!! There was obvious water damage and it was obviously known. There were barrels collecting the water from the damage in the hall. They move her to a new room the next dat. The escalator was not working half the time and every night after the show there was a huge wait for the elevators to get to the rooms. The cost is ridiculous for what you get! Next year I'll look for a new place to stay for sure! read more

Chose this property as I came to Baltimore on business for one day and their location was perfect. My stay was a-OK. The bad: 1) I went to my initially assigned room and found a dirty dessert plate by the door: what type of housekeeping team do they have that they are negligent to keep any dirty dishes and trash by the door? Complained about it to a front desk staff and while the staff gave me a complimentary upgrade, he did not apologize or call a manager to address the situation. 2) Their main entrance area construction forced you to go through their deli with a tiny entrance door. 3) Their M lounge closed at 1 pm daily, which was super inconvenient as I only stayed there one night, and this early closure was never communicated to their front desk staff: I was told that it should have been open all afternoon. 4) Power outlets are located poorly in the living room area of their suite rooms, which was rather inconvenient. The good: loved the ample number of EV charging stations as I drive an EV, and their restaurant's crab soup was spot on for what you expect from a Baltimore crab soup! read more

It was my first time staying in the City of Baltimore. This location was pretty good especially really close to Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the convention center light rail stop. However, my room was extremely dated. It needed some TLC. The HVAC was a wall unit that just kept running the entire time I was there. There are other hotels around the area that are also closer to the convention center but suspect that they are kept in better condition than this one. read more

I usually like Marriott but this one was very run down and old. First night I couldn't sleep at all because the heater was working like an idle truck sound, it was too noisy. So I called front desk but they couldn't find someone to check it. Next day it was fixed. Most things like carpet and TV were old. No safe box in room. View was completely looking to a parking garage. read more

Imagine you're staying at a hotel for four nights on a business trip. You check in, get your room key, take your stuff up to the room and unpack. Over the next few days you occasionally buy things at the convenience store at the hotel and charge them to your room. No questions, no problems. As you're getting ready to check out the last morning, there's a loud pounding on the door. You ask who it is and they tell you it's hotel security and the room is supposed to be vacant, that there is no record of a reservation for that room. You explain there must have been a mistake because you've been there four nights and are checking out shortly. They ask for your name and repeat that the room is supposed to be vacant. You assure them you've been there for four nights and that you'll be checking shortly. They leave but a few moments later the room phone rings and it's the front desk asking who you are and telling you the room is supposed to be vacant and there's no record of a reservation. You explain (again) that you checked in four days ago and have been there every night since. They tell you abruptly you need to go to the front desk. You assure them you will as soon as you finish getting your things ready to go. A few minute later, there's another loud pounding at the door. This time you open it and there is a police officer and security guard again asking who you are. You tell them (again!), and you reiterate you will be checking out in just a few moments and will go to the front desk. They apologize and leave. You go to the front desk to check out and they tell you there's no reservation and the room is supposed to be vacant. They ask who are you and if you have a confirmation number. You show them your confirmation number and tell them (again!) you checked in at that same front desk four days ago and have been there four nights. They tell you (again) they have no record of you or the reservation number in their system. You ask why you were able to check in, given a key card that worked for four nights, and allowed to make purchases on the room. They have no answer. After about 10 minutes, they tell you there was a glitch in the system and there's no record of your reservation. Then they apologize. Afterwards, you decide to call the Marriott to share your experience. You make multiple calls that take a lot of on-hold time and have multiple conversations explaining what happened. They give you 5,000 Bonvoy points, worth about $43. What do you think? Would you stay in this hotel again? read more

I was only here for an event and nothing more. I can't speak to the rooms and sleeping conditions. But if you enter the lobby and go to the event area here, you get enough of an impression of this place. And we all know what they say about first impressions... So, where to start. The lobby looks great from the entrance, then you take a few steps in and you start to see the layers fall away. If you go to the right toward a lot of the rooms used for events you don't get the full effect. You miss out on some of the visible missteps. To the right, along with the event space rooms, you have the bathrooms (which are huge), a pizza place, and a bar. The bar can be a nice place to unwind. It's not a truly full service bar, but they are able to cover the bases. That's about where they pluses end. Our event was to be held upstairs in those rooms. To me, that's where you start to see the missteps. Heading up the stairs to the area you had to dodge the bucket catching the leak from the hole in the ceiling. The ceiling that was missing the ceiling tile since it fell. Then there was the extreme cold up here. Not sure if it was because of the old, dirty windows, or maybe it was just the lack temperature control. It was so cold up here that you had to keep a jacket on. When we went into the room I repeatedly had to ask for the doors to be closed because of the frigid temps coming in. I had to close them multiple times. Maybe one of those windows out there were broken because it just felt like there was a draft in the corridor area. That would have been great during the summertime, but in the midst of a cold snap in February, it doesn't feel great. You come inside to escape the cold, not to try to deal with it. If this is how the event space area is treated, I can only imagine what the rooms are like. If you have mobility issues, be sure to find the elevators as there was a solitary escalator on this side that only runs one way at a time. There are elevators, but they are around the corner from the event space. read more

NEVER try to deal with anyone in the accounting/business office. So incompetent on levels I can't begin to describe. Trying to obtain a simple pre-invoice for a room reservation. Basically a quote in writing for a government finance team. Commonly done for all purchases, especially hotels. No matter how you spell it out in writing, crickets just crickets. Will be forwarding all of my concerns and the many names I have of people involved to corporate just so they are aware of the "do nothings" that can't get the job done. I stayed here overnight, just to have the experience because I always pass this hotel. I thought the front desk agent was very polite. I thought the room was pretty comfortable. The pillows were nice in the room as well. The bathrooms were clean room service worked effectively. I have nothing negative to say about the hotel. Still no response for hotel or corporate after 3 weeks. This was by far the most uncomfortable and disturbing Marriott stay I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, the lobby was sweltering with no air conditioning--a terrible first impression, especially in the summer heat. It didn't get any better once we got to our room. We were woken up by nonstop barking dogs, only to find roaches in the room shortly after. As if that wasn't enough, a man walked through the hallway with a woman in lingerie around 10pm, clearly not guests you'd expect at a reputable hotel chain. It honestly felt more like a scene from a bad movie than a Marriott property. I've stayed at Marriotts all over the country, and I've never experienced anything close to this. I reached out to both the hotel and Marriott corporate and received no response for over three weeks. The lack of professionalism and customer care is beyond disappointing. Avoid this location. It's a complete embarrassment to the Marriott brand. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location was PERFECT (we overlooked the ball park from our room), the rooms were extremely clean (though slightly outdated), and the staff was exceptional! The check in process was a breeze even though they were busy and hosting basketball teams for a local tournament. The pizza place in the lobby was SO good (and way too tempting for a late night snack). We would absolutely stay here again. read more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! My wife and I went there for an Orioles game on 7/13/25. The elevator malfunctioned and we got stuck. Then it dropped uncontrollably TWICE, as if it was going to plummet. When we used the emergency call button, we were immediately put on hold. The call was never answered and eventually disconnected. We didn't have our cell phones. We pushed the alarm and many minutes later they pried the doors open. We were stuck midway in the shaft and had to climb out. I asked to see the last safety inspection records for the elevator. They wouldn't share them with us. As an apology, the manager then had the gall to offer us free breakfast. I was shocked. Didn't sleep at all that night and departed as quickly as we could the next day. Also, it appeared the next morning as if THEY JUST LET THE ELEVATOR CONTINUE TO OPERATE AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED. I was shaken by the whole experience and am truly wondering whether it is safe for guests there. I'll never go back. read more

The Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards is an older building that has decent amenities. The concierge lounge is located on the 10th floor and does a great job with the breakfast, snacks, and beverages daily. The housekeeping does a wonderful job on a daily basis as well as the front desk that recognizes Bonvoy Elite members. The downside is the fitness center, located in the basement needs an upgrade. The TVs on the treadmill are not functional and the equipment is close to 25 to 30 years old, even though they are serviced and useable. The street noise is minimal and the location is great for Camden Yards, the convention center, or the Inner Harbor shops/restaurants. read more

I stayed for the weekend, and I think that this was a great location. It's walking distance from the pier, and a quick Uber that is close to many other things. You are in the middle of the action! I checked in and everyone was polite and nice at the hotel. They gave me a welcome gift and explained how the complementary breakfast worked. The rooms were good. For some reason the air kept acting funny so I had to keep changing it when I would come in at night, but that could have been for any reason. The building was a little old, but that isn't a terrible thing. The lobby has a lot of seats and a TV on the wall. I would stay there again because the location was great and the staff was nice. read more

It has been a while since I have been to Baltimore overnight. I was in town for a conference, and stayed here at the Marriott Inner Harbor. I will say the guest services were great! Everyone was very friendly and helpful - everthing from getting me checked in a little early, to getting directions places, and at checkout. It was really a solid customer experience with all the staff. The room was neat and clean. The only downside was that in my room all of the lights around the bed were out. There was apparently one plug with an extension cord under the bed area, and even when located and everything plugged in, either all the light bulbs (about six) were burned out, or all three switches were defective. The bed was very comfortable, but there was no way to read anything or have light near the bed, so that's a minus. The toiletries in the bathroom were good, although minimal. The last detractor, which is probably on the City of Baltimore, but maybe not, on the street corner from the Marriott to the Hilton, which is how to access the convention center, there was a debris fence held down with some traffic cones, which was flapping around in the wind. It tripped up several people, including myself, even though you tried to avoid it. It was definitely a hazard, and if it's not on the Marriott, they should complain to the city as someone will likely get hurt badly tripping on that. read more

Had 4 rooms reserved. Called 45 min PTA, to ensure everything was in order/assured it was. When we arrived, they gave away all 4 rooms. Later found out air conditioning was down in half the building. Gave us 1 room on time, it had no air conditioning, had to bring in FANS! The other 3 rooms were not released until midnight. We all had to go from a kids baseball tournament, to an Oriels game sweaty and dirty!! Was assured by management there will be no changes, was only compensated partially. A DISGRACE for a Marriott property! read more

My biggest tip for traveling is to pick a brand of hotel and consistently frequent that hotel. We checked into Marriott Inner Harbor on New Years Day and had a 5 star experience from check-in to check-out. Due to my Elite Status, we were on the top floor. Beautiful King Suite, with the most comfortable California King bed. Our room could have used a little updating. Great view. All day access to the Concierge Suite, which includes full breakfast, snacks throughout the day. Lunch and hors d'oeuvres. Check-out was smooth and easy. read more

On June 23, my wife and I went to sleep around 11:00 pm. At about 1:20 am, while we were sleeping, a man entered our room and turned on the light. When he saw us in the bed, he said something to the effect of "I'm sorry. Someone gave me the key to your room." He apologized again and left. As you might imagine, it was very hard to sleep after that. I reported this incident to the desk later that morning and was told that security would investigate. On June 27, I received a call from the hotel and was told that the event was being taken seriously, that an investigation would be conducted and that I would hear back by June 30. On July 9, having heard nothing, I left a message for the person who had called. As of yet July 11, there hotel has not called. read more

This hotel has been a sad disappointment to be honest. The rooms are really old, bathrooms tiny with paint chipping in places. The shower felt like it would give way soon. No place to keep toiletries/ makeup on the sink platform because it's so tiny. The front desk check in was lackluster. My room has no central heating, instead a giant radiator like unit that spews stale and damp smelling air that I find oppressing. There are no convenient plug in spots while you work at the desk. So good luck bending all limbs to reach the filthy, dusty spot behind the desk. The TV channel list is a joke - it has maybe 20 channels total, of which 5 didn't work due to 'satellite' issues. No way to get to Netflix either. Their lounge is a sad excuse to be honest - sad breakfast, next to nothing for appetizers in the evening etc. The coffee machine is either broken or produces murky brown hot water for tea. Oh and drumroll, they are out to tea bags, ugh. Service - a total hit or miss. Folks in the lounge were nice but folks on the phone were awful. Given the amount I paid to be here ( location convenience really), I was expecting better. This hotel feels like one of those places longggggg overdue for a makeover. read more

I must say I was a little concerned when we checked a few recent negative reviews initially but, we proceeded and took a gamble because of the location distance to our event and we are so happy we did. Great location just a block around the corner from the CFC Arena. On-site parking was available with in and out privileges for $34.00. They served breakfast - free for owners meeting the specified status level. Bar was open until 12am and there was also a pizza place located in the lobby as well. We did not get a chance to take many pics of the room but, we will add additional pics to my review when we come back in a few weeks. Customer service was on point with everyone we interacted with as well. We are giving them a strong from our experience. We were extremely pleased with our stay. read more

I've stayed at this hotel quite a few times in the past. The location is perfect, especially if you're going to watch the Orioles at Camden Yards like we were. First thing that was a bit disappointing was no valet parking. That may be a result of Covid so it's understandable. There's also a parking garage attached, so not too bad. The hotel rooms can use remodeling. The room we were in seemed dated and not as nice as others we've stayed at in the area. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. read more

Perfect place for us to stay during a weekend in Baltimore. We were attending the Baltimore comic con at the convention center and this location is within walking distance to the con and several eatteries. Had a smooth check in and staff were very courteous, admiring all the costumes of attendees that were coming and going. There is parking in an attached garage but we parked off site. We wanted to spend a bit more time in inner harbor and the hotel starts charging by the hour after 2pm. Room was a little dated but the bed was super comfortable, prob one of the best I've slept on at a hotel in ages and the pillows didn't get flat as a pancake when you used them. Bathroom was dated as well but for us that's not a huge deal. We just needed a place to chill and rest overnight. One thing to note is this isn't one of the newer Marriott's and looks like it might be in the process of getting upgraded in a few years. We've noticed a lot of them undergoing upgrades, surprised this one hasn't. But it doesn't take away from the fact its at a great location for a good price. read more

Thin mattress and rust on the bathroom light. The room was not cleaned so I checked out. As a Titanium member this hotel was not what I like in a Marriott property and will Not be back. I told the guys at the desk but I didn't see any concern on their faces as they said the hotel was going to get renovated. But the room not being cleaned? Black mold... please explain!!! Then a broken ice maker, non working coffee maker in the M lounge... Sorry, this hotel is a NO especially for the money for these rooms and health risk. Buyer beware. Marriott??? I stayed three nights here and my opinion of the place ping ponged around a lot. The room was clean and pretty nice (although I could swear I asked for a single king bed instead of two full/queens). The service was good, and if I hadn't touched the tv or needed internet service, I would have had a better experience. As it was, internet service is extra, which I should have just paid for, but I feel like it's an expected part of a room in 2023. Like water and electricity- I didn't have to pay extra for those. Also, on two occasions, I wanted to watch a film before going to bed and on both occasions, the film stopped about an hour in and either stayed frozen- or the set turned off by itself. That's just odd. You can have a good stay here, just don't plan on working or relaxing in the hotel. If you want that, try another. Mixed recommendation. read more

BED BUG HOTEL AND TOTALLY UNRESPONSIVE MANAGEMENT, STAY AWAY !!! I stayed at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards in January for a trade show held at the convention center nearby. Upon arrival my wife and I noticed right away that the wood furniture in the room was decaying, the wallpaper was peeling of and mold was visible in several locations but we decided to 'look the other way'. Bad mistake: Long story short: on the second night, I ended up being bitten multiple times by bed bugs all over my body. After realizing what had happened I contacted the hotel to share my experience. I was told by the manager that the matter would be investigated and that I would be contacted back. Guess what? 7 phone calls, 2 e-mails and 3 managers later I am still waiting for someone to get back in touch with me (every time I call, the receptionist takes my phone number and tells me that the manager will call me back soon). They obviously know what is going on in their hotel and just think that by ignoring feedback from the customer it will make the bed bugs go away. Unbelievable, especially from a Marriott Hotel ??? I still can't believe that they are bluntly ignoring us, it has now been 19 days !!! read more

I am a Marriott Bonvoy member, and I frequently stay at Marriotts all over the country and abroad (I've also stayed at other hotels in the Marriott hotel group like the Ritz and the W), and I've got to say - this hotel made me feel nastier than a $20/night motel. I had no other choice but to stay here over the summer while I was in Baltimore for a conference at the convention center in 2019, so this review comes a little late, but this hotel experience has remained fresh in my mind. Location-wise, this hotel is great: close to the convention center, the inner harbor, and Camden Yards. The hotel lobby and the restaurant SEEM nice when walking in - who doesn't love Illy coffee? BUT that's where the pleasantries end. Staying here for 2 nights cost me around $900 after factoring in the parking fees (something I have only experienced in LA where the parking is limited). What's most important -- my room was INFESTED with cockroaches and other creepy-crawlies. I seriously wish I could upload all the videos I have of bugs crawling around the room, but don't worry I took some screenshots from the videos! The soap in the bathroom was OPENED. The toiler paper had not been replaced, the shower had obviously not been cleaned (there were hairs all over the shower), the bedding was stained and also covered in hair. Lordy, if I had a blacklight in that room I probably would have passed out from shock and disgust. I called the front desk multiple times and was never offered any resolution - I wasn't asking for a refund or discount, I just wanted a CLEAN room for goodness sake. Oh yeah and the shower head was falling off the wall (imagine how much mold is building up behind that wall with constant exposure to moisture). This hotel is a repulsive and laughable excuse for a Marriott and does not live up to the reputable name on its banner. A couple of coworkers also attending the conference stayed here and had similar experiences with filth and bug infestations, so I know this wasn't an isolated event. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here again. Heck, I'd rather pay $900 to sleep in a barn with the pigs than stay here again. This hotel is meh.... The rooms are tired, the staff is friendly enough. The first night we got here we asked for a suite upgrade and they put us in very large room, however the bed was a pull down Murphy bed! Lol it was made of a metal frame, was very squeaky and felt unstable. We changed rooms to a regular king room, which like I said was a little tired but a typical Marriott room... until the middle of the night, when we flushed the toilet and and the whole toilet backed sewage up on the floor, listen I understand these things happen, so it is what it is- but it was gross. We changed rooms again. This time to a nicer suite with a normal bed. Again, it's fine- not great not horrible. The amenities are ok, At best. I did like that the bar in the lobby stayed open later and the bartender although he was closing was happy to pour us a glass of wine to take to the room. The concierge lounge was brutal, if I'm being honest. When you walk in there was a 20 degree difference in temperature. Im not one that likes to eat in a sauna so we grabbed a few waters and left. The breakfast did not look appetizing. It was a few warmers with some grayish looking sausage and some eggs, and maybe some potatoes with peppers. They had some dry looking pastries and overall it just looked like a place you don't want to eat from. The location is soooooo close to the stadium, which is why we're in town, so the location was a massive plus for me. But to be honest this area- not awesome. A lot of people just roaming the streets, we went to the Kona grill and on Pratt and received horrible service. Over all, probably won't ever stay here again. read more
