Man when I tell you I've tried time and time again to support this establishment. It's gets more and more difficult. The security needs to be securing the White House, too damn serious. Treat the Patrons like criminals. I'm struggling to eat these fried shrimp, shrimp start off ok, then half way through terrible. Tell the waiter, then manager. So instead of accommodating , they scheming on how to charge me for something terrible. The picture doesn't show how muchy they got. Hopefully they can't f c k up some wings or burger. read more

Baltimore Comedy Factory - Comedy Clubs Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I am not a local and bought in to all the drama about how unsafe Baltimore is. Don't make that mistake. The club is really nice, the drinks are ok :) but the best part is how organized, welcoming and SAFE this venue is. Go here, see a show and enjoy yourself. I felt very safe and comfortable and saw an amazing comedian. The security, the hotel staff and the show organizers are on point, professional and go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a good time. The woman selling chocolate covered strawberries was a glorious bonus and they were delicious, her energy was infectious. read more

Nice outing for a date night if you love to laugh. Drinks and food are as expected. The bill adds up quickly though.

With so many legendary comedy venues across the country. I have to say that I was a bit surprised when I pulled up to a best western (PLUS). Then my friend was like, no it's around back, and I was like PHHHHHHEEWW!! Then I got around back, and did all this walking and by the time I got to the comedy club I was definitely inside the best western, and overlooking the parking lot that I had just moved my car from. All jokes aside, the section where the comedy club is in has been renovated, and is actually a pretty nice venue. The rear of the best western leads you into a very nice bar area, and looks like a pretty good time on a friday night (I was there on a thursday though). The tickets were dirt cheap, and there was a 2 drink minimum which was okay I guess. Would make more sense to have a minimum on the bill though for those that don't drink. Keeping it alllllll the way a buck though. I don't think I have ever felt safer in Baltimore. Parking was abundant, and the vibe was really laid back. Normally when someone says we're going to Baltimore I have to mentally prepare myself for something to go left, but i'm actually planning to come back one weekend with friends to check out the bar area downstairs. Overall it was a good time. My friends got slightly roasted by the host Bama, and the headliner did his thing. I could easily see myself returning in the future. You'll be thrown off initially, but once you get inside its's a good time. You almost forget your at a Best Western (PLUS), until you stagger out at the end of the night. read more

Pros- Polite wait staff, spacious room, funny comedian (Godfrey) Cons- Seating was HORRIBLE!!! I will NOT return to this venue! Very inconsiderate of owner to have paying adults sitting practically on top of one another especially with an entire available section NOT being used; If paying adults are comfortable than they spend more money on over priced drinks/food (Business 101) read more

First of all, the show was great! This review has nothing to do with the comedy act I paid to come and see. Two drink minimum which is pretty typical of most comedy clubs. Drinks were decent. Nothing fancy and they do have an unlimited nonalcoholic drink package for our D.D.'s and those who don't drink. My biggest complaint would be, for the cost of the ticket that includes a hefty service fee, it'd be nice to have been seated appropriately and not a help yourself type of setting. I've been to other clubs where they seat you according to ticket number, i.e. two tickets purchased gets seated with other two ticket purchasers. (Couples, or groups that bought their tickets together.) This was a sold out show, so we were filled to capacity, which made it very warm. You'll be seated with people you don't know, so if you're funny about that...just a heads up. Service was great, my only complaint about that was our server stood in eye line of the show blocking our view for quite a few minutes! Again...for the cost of our tickets...this was no bueno. We eventually had to politely ask her to move to one side to not block the tables view of the show. Logistically it could use some help, but overall a great time. Everyone was kind, good service as stated before, and I'd go back...but would plan better knowing what I know now. read more

I attended two shows at this venue. I saw comedians Kountry Wayne on June 8th and Earthquake on Sept 14th. Venue - meh, I mean it's okay. They've remolded it to add more seats and changed the the flow of how you enter into it. It's attached to a hotel and you would have to enter via the hotel front desk. Now it's a separate side entrance. The seating is extremely tight!! They place 6 seats at a table that would normally seat 4 people. Get their early so you can choose what seat and table you want. Food - It's actually good. There's a two drink minimum and their drinks are good as well. Staff - Everyone is friendly and helpful. The security is present and keeps everything and one in order. The servers are constantly on the go, but they are prompt and provide good customer service. read more

I previously gave this place high praises, BUT I GOTS TO KEEP IT REAL. Last night was my first time back at BCF in a while --- and to summarize my experience, see the following three points: 1) management here is a messssssss 2) food + drinks are a messsssssss 3) #issaMESS. Came here for the DL Hughley comedy show and laughed my butt off -- but what I didn't find funny was the mishandling of money, the TURRIBLE taste of the food and the policing of seating arrangements --- because everyone expects to come to a comedy show to laugh -- not to be stressed by childish and archaic antics. Not sure if the trek to BMore is worth the stress anymore - unless they get their act together ASAP. read more

They've renovated this place since the last time I've been. Now, it's like an adult Dave and busters in the lobby (aka club safari). This just isn't my cup of tea. I don't like to be hounded to do anything and this place does that. They make you feel uncomfortable. It's a two drink minimum, which is cool, but the way they operate is a bit too much. It's more like controlled atmosphere. Paying customers who know better don't like to be treated this way. Pay for tickets and then order 2 drinks, it would be nicer if this was like the improv in LA. They pretty much just have a minimum to order. So I basically spent maybe 100 for some dry chicken tenders and fries (Which we went back because the chicken was cold and the fries were greasy, when it came back it was new greasy fries and hot tenders), 3 drinks and a bottle of water. It's going to have to be a good act here for me to go back. I'm not interested. read more

It's a comedy club inside of a Best Western. Nothing too fancy...AT ALL! The service was cool. Waiters were accommodating. I ordered the wings. They were extra dry. There's taxidermy all over the walls by the box office, so that's interesting. Not much else to say. read more

I went to the Baltimore Comedy Factory on July 30th (Friday) to enjoy a popular talented comedian at a sold out show. The place had hundreds of people mashed together during the new delta COVID -19 variant. No mask or social distancing signs or announcements. They don't care about us. The opening act started at 8pm. Around 9pm the Manager, a short stout guy referred to as Chip came to the table to explain the bill to the lady sitting next to me. Chip was speaking in his outside voice. I asked him if he could speak lower because I couldn't hear the comedian. He loudly responded No! I'm discussing the bill with this lady. He continued to disrupt the show for me. I decided I would report him after the show. I took my camera out and attempted to take a picture of Chip so I could include it my complaint. He stood up and yelled for security and demanded that they remove me from the premises! At that point I began to videotape what was happening to me. I'm in a real Facebook live situation here. The manager came towards me and threw his hand in front of my face blocking my camera. I pushed his palm back and continued to tape. He later accused me of scratching him. I don't have nails. Thank goodness I taped the incident. I have filed a formal complaint against the business. Check out the BBB website. This place is in habit of throwing's out customers for minor infractions. This place doesn't value their minority customer base. They need to be shut down for being unhealthy and needlessly aggressive to customers. read more

Its more like 2.5 stars but I rounded up just for the heck of it lol. They have some pretty big names here, as well as some unknowns so you can make the night what you want it to be. You can generally find tickets for next to nothing, get on their mailing list or check gold star because they are practically giving them away. Drinks and food is how they make their money. I basically paid $40 to hit the two drink minimum but the drinks are super strong so be careful. The location is so odd, Ive been when they were downtown and when they moved to the second floor of the hotel and honestly i'd prefer downtown (even though the parking sucked). The hotel is in kind of an industrial area across from a truck stop so it feels super sketch late at night. There are also more things around when it was downtown so if you want to grab a drink after a show it was easier, here I guess you could head to canton since its not that far but it just feels so out of the way. read more

Went to @baltimorecomedy to see @garyowencomedy last night. It was a great show. Gary did a great performance and had me laughing tears most of the night. I will see him again on a few years (you have to give comedians time to come up with new material). The comedy club seems much bigger than when it was at the Power Plant. I'm upset with their pricing and service practices. The guy that served us was good and kept my glass filled but I ordered the bottomless soft drink for $12.95 and a 2 for one drink at $15. Bill came to $34 and I left a $6 tip. I'm now assuming there was gratuity or something already included but I never got a tab, just a total cost of the bill. If I ever go back for any reason I know to never leave a tip. Not sure when I'll be back but next time I will pay more attention, smh. #comedy #comedyclub #baltimorecomedyclub #garyowen #garyowennos read more

Ticket prices are good for this location, but I hate the fact that they drop the prices if a show doesn't sell out to attract more people and I end up paying more than the person sitting right next to me! Other than that, this spot located inside the Best Western Express Hotel is perfect for patrons and performers. Not as high priced as the IMPROV plus every seat has a good view of the stage since it is stadium seating. Yes, two drink min., but the drinks are strong and the food is good as well. read more

So many things to go thru just to enjoy some comedy. As if the 2 drink minimum weren't enough, you now need to leave your I.D if you wish to use restroom. I guess this stops patrons from walking out on their tab? You also get an "exit" ticket once you pay your bill in full. Sheesh! I don't know if this helps or hinders service. Food is pretty standard bar fare. While there I noshed on the Fried Shrimp and Old Bay Wings. The wings were decent but, the shrimp were not. How can you have a deep fried shrimp and it's still moist and mealy on the inside? No bueno. I didn't even have it in me to complain though. I really didn't see anything else on the menu that I wanted to eat. Also quite a few items on the menu is greatly overpriced. I'll surely eat before hand. The only great thing about my visit was the potency of the drinks, my servers attentiveness and Deon Cole. read more

The show was awesome! They crammed everyone on the first floor which was not considering safety as Covid in on the rise. Strangers sitting crammed together. The food was awful. Before I could finish my sentence the tough chicken was at my table , which meant it was not freshly made . The chicken was tough, if I had false teeth it would break !!!!!!!Don't order chicken nuggets with fries ! The nuggets was soggy not crispy , the fries were microwaved . It's a rip off to demand two drink minimum when drinks cost 13-24 dollars per drink . Show cost 30 dollars per person , which was not cheap. The waitress are deceptive !!!! When you Apple Pay to do a tip they don't tell you 18% tip is already included in your bill so you are double tipping . Deceptive business practice . Word to wise !!!!!! Don't tip already included . Don't get the food, premade not fresh !!!!!! Just buy unlimited soda package for 13:00 and your good read more

Went on a double date here. I was concerned about parking - we aren't from Baltimore - so I was surprised (and glad) to realize this venue was inside a hotel, so it was very easy access and free parking. We went upstairs, they took our tickets, we got to choose our seats (which I am not used to in these types of settings). I was not drinking that night, so I ordered 2 sodas (which counted to the 2 drinks minimum). We did not order food (we had eaten before). I did hear the other couple we were with going back and forth with the waitress - and our companion commented that our waitress wasn't very good, but we didn't get into why that was. Mask mandates were not being enforced, but my group masked up when we were not drinking (I was mildly afraid a comedian might poke fun at me for that, but we had no issues). And there was no one directly behind me at our table, so I didn't feel cramped. I would definitely come back again - but, based on these other reviews I'm glad I wasn't hungry or wanting liquor. read more

This is my second time here. Where do I start? Traveling from DC not a bad ride at all. The comedy club is located in industrial park in Best Western Hotel in Baltimore Maryland. The purchase of tickets online is a easy process. Once in the hotel getting your tickets is a easy process but sometimes you may run into a long line but get there early. The door suppose to open a hour early but that's not true. If you get there a hour early security will have you line up and stand in a long line for over an hour. The show staff have a quick turnover at the end of the show. They get you in after about 20 minutes which is quick. The problem I have with this venue is the line out front. I stood in line for over an hour to get a good seat and that didn't matter because the security had no order. They let people in that wasn't in line, never took my ticket and was rude. I don't like the fact that you are cramped at a small table for 6 people and can't get out. Seems like a fire hazard. The people behind us were so close you couldn't move. If you have to go to the restroom you have to give security your ID so you come back and pay your tab. I think it's a better way to do this. Maybe prepay or charge more but that process is like jail and not a friendly feeling at all. Also, the waitress came to the table and said it's a two drink minimum so you might as well buy both now. Huh? Haven't had a chance to review the menu. Everything seemed rushed. Customer services is not top priority here. I order one thing and received the wrong item. Told her what I wanted she took it back and still came back with the wrong item. I just gave up and kept it. As for the comedians. We went to see Lil Duval. He was awesome. I would go see him & Cool Aid again. Very funny show. As far as Baltimore Comedy Factory not sure if I will do it a third time. We spent a lot of money on 4 tickets to be treated badly. read more

First time being here in a while and i gotta say that the stage looks much better. The seating is still too cramped for my taste and the service is still subpar. Okkk!! Sooo i believe like reviewer Tiffany H says yup Fire this Woman especially if her name is Christa or Kristine!! I believe she was our server too!! ! I have been several times to see comedians! The food is ok i suggest order like mid show when you are ready for your second drink!! Our server at Table 103 started off friendly but after we paid, she did not bring the ginger ale or pineapple juice ordered nor the to go box for my sister's wings! Yup truly i recommend eat before coming to any shows there! LESSON Learned!! As far as the ambiance... come on folks it's at The Best Western...aka The truck stop! So, yeah it's a place to get your laugh on, parking is crowded but good, and last but least it's attached to Club Safari then you can get your dance and drink on afterwards!! I don't think I'll be returning went to see Gary Owen 9/17/2022 of course most comedy clubs have two drink requirement me and husband ordered a drink mine was Pina cold and strawberry mix husband beer the server Isaiah didn't ask if it was large or small he did ask if I wanted an extra shot which I never responded to cause I was asking if I could mix the two which he said yes drinks came out colada honestly wasn't good Ive had better at a hibachi? Or getting the Daily's pouch from the liquor store and adding rum or wine to it, we ordered loaded nachos which wasn't loaded at all! You can get better at 7-Eleven fixing your Toppings yourself. Three beers in from hubby and I got a second daiquiri bill is 100+ bucks for nothing I guess they add the tip but even adding a tip the total wasn't worth what we got. I WONT BE BACK GARY WASN'T THAT FUNNY ANYWAY. Dc improv is better, oh they give a two admit ticket for the next show while in line they should! Cause as much as we paid for drinks and I guess the added tip and not so great shared appetizer ! It Should Be a Free Ticket price wasn't worth it either. I wanted to see David A Arnold in Nov was gonna purchase those tickets after I got these then find out a few Days later he passed away Gary didn't even do a tribute on stage yes he showed a clip from his podcast on his instagram with him but felt out respect he could have mentioned the Man!. Totally Not happy with his performance or there cheap ass drinks and food. What happen to Joe chair's comedy acts at Bethesda Blues?? Those shows were funny with Several comedians. I Actually would have liked the opener for Gary last night longer as he was more funny. DISAPPOINTED ALL THE WAY AROUND WON'T BE BACK SINCERELY!! ......TERRI! read more

Wow. It baffles me why they'd move the Comedy Factory from downtown Baltimore to this dump!!! I visited the new location for the first time several weeks ago to see Kim Coles and John Henton from Living Single. The venue is in an aging hotel badly in need of extensive renovations. We didn't arrive early so there was a long line to get inside the performance area. The show wasn't sold out so the wait wasn't too bad. We walked in and found a large table in the front of the room. Our server greeted us promptly (white guy with short brown hair) and took our drink order. He couldn't give his opinion on food so we asked another employee. She claimed the catfish was good it turned out to be awful. The food in general was bad. It tasted like bad bar food. My brother ordered the fried chicken. He said it tasted like it was cooked the day before yesterday and was subsequently re-heated. We barely ate the good after the first couple of bites. The drinks were good. I can't recall which ones we ordered but they were decent. I didn't appreciate the fact that they make you still order two drinks even if you order food. The food should count towards the two item minimum. The location is old, dirty and quite a distance from the city. The fact that you have to stand in line on the way out showing proof that you paid for your food and drinks before being allowed to exit if embarrassing. It's borderline racist too considering the vast majority of the patrons the night I visited were African-American. Visit if there's a comedian you REALLY want to see but know it's major a dump and the food is disgusting. Go for the comedy, skip the food and settle for the drinks. read more

Baltimore Comedy Factory - Catfish and baked chicken in the background. The food wasn't very good. - Comedy Clubs Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

So the Baltimore comedy factory is not a great venue. It's in desperate need of updates, cleaning, reconfiguring (for the waiting area), among other things. Here's my perspective: Pros - they typically have the best comics. A lot of the experience has to do with the show itself, so this is the main reason for the 3 stars (and not lower). And the drinks are actually good. Tasty, good combo/cocktails, and on the strong side. Parking is free, so that's a plus too. Cons - the line for the door once you get upstairs just keeps going and going, then snakes around again. I understand there has to be a waiting area for the show, but there has to be a better way. Once you get in, you're not seated by a host - just have to fend for yourself - which can be awkward when sharing tables with people you don't know. Everything just looks, feels, and smells run down and old. The food is pretty horrible too. Got the old bay wings, which were pretty dry and pathetic. And the chicken tenders were even worse. Just straight out of the freezer. Not many food options. Overpriced for the quality. Other things - 2 drink minimum (standard in comedy clubs) but can include water/soda. You have to leave your ID with security to go to the bathroom during the show (they don't want you skipping out on the bill). And you get an exit ticket once you pay the bill - but I've seen this at other comedy clubs. They also send out lots of promotions for free or reduced price tix if you get on their email/text list. It's typically not for the more famous comedians, but even still. All in all, you go there for the comedy show, so if you focus on that (and have a great show), you can normally overlook some of the cons. I suggest eating before you go. read more

My first time coming to this comedy factory and we went to see Michael Blackson. I'm not a big fan of his but my girlfriend is. The night we went was there opening weekend. I guess they did some upgrades. The night we went it was packed and soooo out of order. My understanding is that they tried out a new system the night we went where you'll get a number from the box office and once your number come on the screen your group is allowed to go upstairs and get seated. There weren't any assigned seat however if you're in the last group you get whatever seat is left which means you might not get a seat with your friends if you come in a group. The drinks were good, however I didn't like I was force to get two drinks. One is just enough for me. The food wasn't the best. We had chicken tenders and fries and they aren't gourmet lol they're frozen and put in a microwave. A couple who sat at our table had some jerk style chicken that she didn't even eat. Overall, this place was ok. Nothing too fancy just ok. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed Damon Wayans at the BCF he was hilarious and I laughed so much!!!' (laughter is truly medicine for the souI. I would recommend this place because it was organized And clean. They do have an admission price as well as a 2 drink minimum so make sure you have enough money ( the wife and I had 2 appetizers and 2 Drinks $80)so be aware and also realize that if you buy a drink in the waiting area from the bar before you are seated it Does Not count towards your 2 drink minimum !! I'm embarrassed that this is the venue that great comedians come to when they perform in Baltimore. I've tolerated coming here but Saturday was my last straw. The place is nasty. It badly needs a renovation and a deep clean. They also need a new system for standing on line. The line gets so long before shows that it wraps around the hallway and at the very end of the hallway, it makes it's way back the same way to the front. Not only is that a safety hazard, but it encourages dishonest patrons to cut the line and enter the showroom before people who have waited longer in line. Security doesn't even stop them from cutting the line. The service is horrible. Our server didn't even take our order until the second comedian was on stage. I tried to order a shrimp platter but they ran out of certain food items on the menu. I settled for chicken tenders and fries. The food didn't come until the middle of Luenell's performance, and the fries were cold. They tried to mix hot fries with cold fries thinking I wouldn't notice. The tenders were trash! They tasted like the public school chicken nuggets... you remember school lunch? The nuggets that weren't really chicken. My frozen margarita was pretty much frozen limeade. No tequila whatsoever! I just ordered a 20 oz frozen margarita because it fulfilled the 2 drink min, it was cheaper than buying 2 $10 drinks, and I knew if I didn't order it then, I'd never see the server again since they love disappearing. Futhermore, I was disappointed because I could barely hear Luenell on stage. People kept talking loudly at their tables and security didn't even go to tables and tell people to quiet down like they are supposed to. Even Luenell was annoyed with people talking. She called the security "lazy" because she was basically trying to quiet people down herself. Then there was a heckler and she asked security to get him. They try taking him out the showroom, he resisted and became combative. Then they taze him and cause a commotion. I'm still puzzled why the wait staff ran toward the commotion. It pretty much killed the end of her performance. Never again! And if I ever get desperate enough to come back, never to the late show. read more

Absolutely the worse venue ever , it was so bad that the comedians talked about it . When you come in you line up upstairs for general admission , it got so packed that you stood shoulder to shoulder in a hallway . Literally both parties had to stand with there backs against the wall to allow people to pass, it was hot. When we were finally allowed in general admission means first come first pick. So people where holding seats and folks were not even there , it was rectangle long lunch tables that everyone sat in (extremely crowded) . There is a two two drink minimum which I'm familiar with , however my guest is a diabetic and we were forced to buy sugar drinks that they could not drink because they ran out of water , the food was cold . The waitress even said they are not in control it's the hotel . I wish I had the ability to take a picture of the food because they had a no photo policy I couldnt . This was the absolute worse experience ever , I would not go to this venue again , not would I recommend it . read more

I will say it, this place makes me feel ackward. It's not the two drink minimum or the find your own seat. I can deal with sitting at a table with random strangers. The awkward part is if I have to use the restroom I have to give you my ID to hold until i come back. It's 5 or 6 security guys at the exits so if you try to dine and ditch apparently they will kill you. This is an older place and it smells like it. The wait staff does a good job pumping out food. I have been attending the Baltimore Comedy Factory for many years. The renovations that have been done in the last year are absolutely superb! It is like visiting a whole new venue. The layout, aesthetics and organization have been upgraded to another level. The entrance has been changed and you no longer walk in thru the hotel lobby. You walk in to a beautiful club/bar area. This area is the waiting area and contains the box office. The waiting area now has games like Dave and Buster. Games like pool, basketball, air hockey and more. You can even reserve VIP or special reserved seats in advance. The food and drinks have always been great here and they have stayed excellent read more

First time at new location and I must admit I am not a huge fan. The staging process to get into the show is ridiculous. Seats are first come first served and yet they rope you off in a large room with one measly bar that is CASH ONLY!!! Since I started this review I have gone back to the venue and it really is a wonder how they have so many great headliners because their customer service and front of the management leaves a lot to be desired! What they need to do is take a page out of Magooby's book!!! Magooby's may be a hike out of the city but they know how to cater to the artist and the audience! So this last time I went to the Baltimore Comedy Factory it was basically a chaotic mess. We arrived 15 minutes before showtime but instead of corralling us into the other room, we had to wait in a 20 minute line for two ticket windows because they don't just let you print your ticket at home OR better yet let us have electronic tickets and have a scanner at the front door so no one has to wait in such an absurdly long line. Aside from the line, there is still first come first serve seating which would be great if there were a team of hostesses at the front door who knew how many tables and seats were in the room and could help people find seats. We spent at least 5-7 minutes looking for a seat and there were tons of open seats but they were in between couples and people had their coats and bags on them so they seemed occupied but had there been people to assist it would have gone a lot smoother. We were lucky, some people didn't get sat until right before the headliner came out. And on that note, having only security at the door who aren't really helpful and just check tickets is not a good business model. Don't get me started on the food and drinks. There is a two drink minimum but we didn't even see the server until well into the feature comics set and then we ordered all our drinks at once just to ensure we were holding up our end of the agreement. Unfortunately she didn't give us the check until the headliner was done and we had to wait for her in order to leave the show. The timing was all wrong the entire evening that's for sure. And did I mention that while the show was going on the emcee and a security guard were walking through the the entire place counting how many people were in the room...can you say distracting??? Had they had a hostess team up front and a security guard with a manual counter/clicker hey would not have had to interrupt the show and distracted us. Hopefully they will improve the entire process in the next few weeks otherwise I will only be going to Magooby's from now on! read more

My friend won a party here for 15 of her guests to receive free admission, but when is anything free, so upon further investigation, l discovered that: she had to pay $30 for her ticket; she had to have a minimum of 4 guests come in with her or the offer would be voided; and there was a 2 drink per person minimum. So much for free... The establishment was located in the Best Western Hotel located at 5625 O'Donnell St. off of exit 57 on l-95 North. This was previously where Toby's Dinner Theater was located. The hotel looked sort of abandoned with caution tape and plastic sheeting swirling from the windows above...l was skeptical about coming here, but as we entered the lobby of the hotel, l was still skeptical. The box office was located to the left of the lobby and as we checked in, we were required to produce the flyer that included her name on it and the additional 4 guests. We were given tickets and proceeded up a staircase to the second floor ( we asked was there an elevator for one person in our party, but was told none was available. What the ?... ADA reps should have been here to pitch a boogie woogie about that one). The hotel was in need of a total makeover. If the dingy carpet and Dynasty-era 80's chandeliers were any indication of what the rooms looked like, l would sleep out in my car before retiring here. Once on the second level, we were asked if we have VIP admission. When we answered no, we were directed to a second line at the far end of the comedy venue entrance and proceeded to wait until about 8:10...the show was to start at 8. Oh boy. We were ushered it ahead of the VIP line and instructed to select any open seating on the second and third levels, as the VIP section was the main floor section directly in front of the stage. The views were okay for us as we selected the second level. A waitress came to take our food/drink orders. I ordered the 20 oz. frozen strawberry drink with rail tequila (as it met the 2 drink min. requirement) for $15 (ouch!). I also ordered the buffalo wings for $10. You can easily see how the free ticket lure and min. 2 drink required resulted in money in the bank for The Comedy Factory. There was a $5 raffle for Orioles tickets before the show started, which was weird to me. The comedians were good: the MC named Alabama, comedian Chastity and the headliner, J. Anthony Brown from the Tom Joyner Morning Show. All in all a good lineup. When our checks came (which the server told us could only be two or more per check...huh?) there was a 15% gratuity added per check....those slicksters. After paying, you were given a small laminated yellow card that said something to the effect of "dont lose this ticket as it is proof of your payment and present it to security as you are leaving". Never had to do this before. Upon leaving, there was the MC at the door begging for donations to a local charity. Trying to suck all of the $ out of our pocket. Although the evening was ok sans the constant begging for $ for "raffle tickets and donations" l think the next time someone says they have free tickets to go to The Comedy Factory, l may sit that one out. read more

Bad Business came to see Samore, we arrived at 7:30 only to be turned away because the box office closed at 7:20 for a show that started at 7:00pm. Now had BCF used electronic tickets (and considering we are in 2022 they would think they would have invested in some ticket scanners)... anywho after running up and down the best western to locate a competent person to assist us with getting the hard copy ticket, we we're finally meet by some bootleg promoter and so called special security that comes out to asked had we arrived by 7:45 we said yes and we've been looking for the person who is running the box office. The bootleg security goes your lying cause I was here and down stairs and didn't see you. The gull ... I promise to NEVER support this black business ever again. read more

Tbh this place is at best 2 stars. The prices are just as high as DC improv and MGM shows. The only pros of this place is that there is free parking and unlike DC Improv you can seat yourself without the hassle of someone telling you where to sit and/or that this is VIP seating only. CONS: Besides that I showed up early to a 9:15pm show and the GA side was long and almost never ending. No one is there to instruct you. I saw a couple on the side not wait in line yet they were ushered in before me. So not cool. Then when the bill comes the waiter doesn't state that gratuity is included. PLEASE DO NOT BE A VICTIM LIKE I WAS. Two drinks one at $12.99 and another at $15 yet the bill was $40. Wanna know why? Because gratuity was already include which I feel like they purposely do not inform you. And then you tip on top of a tip. Not cool esp when there are better venues ie: City Winery in DC does not have a minimum and it's newer. Oh, and when you check in they just ask for a name...no ID or reservation/order #. I could literally be anyone I wanted to be tbh. Sighhh. Do better Baltimore! Overall, I enjoyed the show just not the trickery. read more
