I have a love-hate relationship with the Baltimore Comedy Factory. The biggest reason I keep coming back is the comedians. Whoever books the lineup deserves some credit because they consistently bring great talent. I've seen some amazing shows here over the years, and they've also made a lot of improvements to the showroom itself. The lighting, sound, seating, and overall atmosphere inside the comedy club are all solid. That said, there are still a few things that keep this from being a five-star experience. The customer service can be hit or miss. I don't necessarily blame the servers because they always seem stretched way too thin. On busy nights, they're clearly juggling too many tables. My advice is to know what you want when they first come around because it can be a while before you see them again. If you need another drink or want to order dessert later in the show, good luck trying to flag someone down. The lobby and will-call area could also use some attention. Compared to the showroom, those spaces feel a little dated and don't make the best first impression. Being located inside a Best Western with a nightclub downstairs also gives the venue a bit of an unusual vibe, and the surrounding area isn't my favorite. Even with those complaints, I still come back because the comedy is consistently worth it. As long as they keep bringing in great comedians and the ticket prices remain reasonable, I'll continue supporting the Baltimore Comedy Factory. I've celebrated birthdays here, gone on dates, brought friends, and seen countless comedians over the years, so it's become one of my go-to spots whenever someone good comes to town. The comedians are consistently the reason to come. Whether it's a nationally known headliner or someone I've never heard of, I almost always leave laughing. My most recent visit was to see Monique, and it was such a fun experience, especially with it being a hometown show. Now for the honest part, if you're coming for the food, this probably isn't the place. It's comedy club food. It'll absolutely hold you over during the show, but I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat here. The veggie and cheese tray is actually one of my favorite lighter options if I just want something to snack on while I enjoy the performance. My biggest issue is the entry process. The Comedy Factory has been around for decades, but getting inside for larger shows can still be an ordeal. I almost expect a long line whenever it's a popular comedian, and I wish they had a smoother system by now. That said, once you're inside, it's easy to remember why I keep coming back. The atmosphere is always fun, the crowds are lively, and after more than 10 years of visits, this place has become part of my Baltimore tradition. I have been to the Comedy Factory many many times so this is an overview of my experiences. The Comedy Factory is located inside the Best Western Hotel. There is also a club on the bottom floor in which there is shared parking. We typically see the same comedian every time we come. There has been some shifts over the years when the box office has been however now it's on the first floor to the back. I usually order my tickets online then pick them up at the box office. The ballroom/comedy area has been remodeled a few years ago in which I love the comedy legends being placed on the walls. The place is really first come first serve as far as seating outside of VIP seating in which I never brought. This place can get really crowded depending on what time you arrive. We have been packed in there like sardines many of times. The food option are ok for a typical Comedy show. There is a 2 drink minimum. The security staff needs major work on professionalism, crowd management and interacting with the public. I have also had huge issues with security in past years and have seen security not act professionally at all to other guest. In that case security needed security. SMH. Why do I return you may ask? My husband enjoys seeing the same comedian every time he comes so I oblige. read more

Went here to see Bill Bellamy. Amazing show. The comedians were hilarious. The servers were pretty quick. Only issue was he drinks prices. Sheesh. So there is a two drink minimum per person. The waitress told me there's a drink special that counts as two drinks. So I get that. The bill comes and it was $30 for one drink. Crazy. Other than that it was cool. Decent ambiance. Went to the 7pm show and overall it was a decent experience, but a few things brought it down for me. The staff at the front were very friendly and helpful, and getting seated was pretty smooth once they started letting people in. The show itself started on time, lasted about an hour and a half, and the sound quality was decent. The venue is a nice size -- nothing fancy, but it works. There are a few things to be aware of:    *   Two-drink minimum per person    *   Tickets are will call only (no electronic tickets)    *   Separate lines depending on ticket type    *   Seating is first come, first served and you may share tables Service was just okay. Our server was fine overall, but one comment didn't sit right. When some of us considered the non-alcoholic "bottomless" drink option, he mentioned that he doesn't really make money from that. I was happy to see Mo'nique was back in her home town so i had to book tickets when i saw that she was going to be at BCF. OMG upon arriving to the venue the line was already getting long and that was me arriving at 8pm showtime wasnt till 9:30. The line secerity did a great job controlling the crowds and the lines for the most part, i understand all 3 of her shows were sold out. Once seated inside you can start placing your orders for food and drinks. This time i only got fries and a chees cup which took forever to come out. I was disappointed to hear upon trying to order the slushie frozen drink machine was down and that literally the only type of alcohlic drink that i prefer so that was disappointing. My friend who is all things Baltimore, asked me to be her +1 to see Godfrey since her mama couldn't make it. That was an easy yes since I love to laugh and after remembering him doing the Trump impressions on IG, I knew I'd be cracking up. Baltimore Comedy Factory, which I will be referring to as BCF for the remainder of this review, is tucked away on the 2nd level of the Best Western Hotel. Some folks think I'm "Bougie" but I'm far from it. I love stuff like this.. Lol! BCF has a separate entrance so you don't have to go through the hotel lobby to get there. Once you walk up a SUBSTANTIAL amount of stairs, yes, you'll add to your daily steps, trust me, you'll have to stand in this loooooong line if you didn't purchase VIP tickets. I know you're wondering, no, she didn't purchase VIP tickets.. Lol! :) Even with the long line, once you enter, BCF is pretty damn big and finding a nice table to watch the show wasn't a tall task at all. I was pleasantly surprised! Just like most venues similar to this one, unless you come with your friends, you'll be sharing your table with complete strangers. That's cool with me since I'm social but introverts may be a bit uncomfortable. BCF has to work on their food and drink ordering system. I have never had such a bad experience as I did just waiting in line to see comedian Eddie Griffin. Not only was the lines long but this particular security did not help as he acted like we were all black people ip to no good. After waiting in line for almost 30 minutes he stayed he did not see me in line. I was hurt because I'm a very ethical person. No doubt it is an ex cop turned security using his power for the night which was unnecessary. We came here to see Marlon Wayans, and let me be very clear: he was incredible. Unfortunately, the venue itself is absolute trash. The Baltimore Comedy Factory is housed inside a Best Western, which already sets a certain tone and not a good one. Parking was a nightmare, especially with snow on the ground and 10-degree weather. We ended up getting hustled out of $20 by some random guy for parking because we didn't want to walk far in freezing temperatures. Not a great start. Things went downhill once we got inside. We purchased preferred seating online (for more money), only to arrive and be told there was no preferred seating available unless you arrived an hour early. That requirement was not stated anywhere in the email or during purchase. So what exactly are you paying for? Selling preferred seating and then not honoring it is unacceptable. I'll be disputing that charge with American Express - period. There's a two-drink minimum, which is standard for comedy clubs, but the drinks were served in tiny plastic cups that were absolutely not worth the price. While our assigned server was kind and attentive, the rest of the wait staff lacked basic professionalism - standing fully upright in the aisles, blocking views, and taking orders without any awareness of the show happening right in front of them. To make matters worse, we could clearly hear music from other events and the hotel club bleeding into the comedy show. A couple at our table mentioned that it's "normal" and they're used to it which begs the question: why should anyone have to get used to that? You're paying to hear the comedian, not competing bass lines from the next room. One last thing worth noting: I'm very glad we ate dinner before the show. The food coming out to nearby tables looked unappetizing, and the portions were shockingly small for the prices. People at our table barely touched or finished their meals, which says a lot. We stuck to wine, which was cheap and not great but still a better option than the visibly watered-down mixed drinks others ordered. Definitely not a place you come to for food. And the cherry on top? At the end of the night, you're handed an exit ticket that you have to show security to prove you met your drink minimum and paid your bill. Just... no. Completely unnecessary and wildly tacky. Bottom line: Marlon Wayans delivered, but the venue did not. I'll happily stay on my end of the beltway moving forward. Honestly, I don't really know how to review the Baltimore Comedy Factory regarding to how many stars to give. The food is not the best and definitely probably two stars. Is it wrong to say the french fries are good but it's hilarious that they charge you $8 if you want them for a side lol. They definitely batch cook their food and if you don't mind warm food with absolutely never receiving any kind of steam or juice from meat then you'll be okay. Have really low expectations and you won't be upset. You can choose which comedian you want to see and I have done a few of their premium shows as well as some of their free shows and I have definitely laughed throughout my time there. I do appreciate the presence of security and they're not hard on the eyes either LOL some faces I have recognized for years and summer new. That also goes with the servers. Some have been around for a minute and you'll also see brand new faces. The club does have a two drink minimum policy and offer a small variety of drinks that you can fill that with. I typically always get the unlimited sodas and juices because the alcoholic selections don't tickle my fancy particularly. It's always funny when I order the cranberry juice because I have absolutely no idea which brand they use but it doesn't taste like cranberry at all. Wow. Not going to lie, I'm not really sure why the Comedy Factory is receiving so much heat - I personally loved this location. It's probably twice the size of the DC Comedy Club, and from what I remember (it's been about a year since I've been to the DC location), but Baltimore has better drinks, food, and overall service! When you arrive on time/when the entry-doors opened, you will be greeted by the bouncer at the front who will then take your guest-list name for confirmation. This event in particular, my party of 3 had a time-issue where the person who reserved the tickets could no longer attend, but without conflict, our "new" party of 3 were able to have our tickets validated and we entered the same way to hand-select our own seats. Once you enter the venue and select your seats, your server will be over to greet you. And just as others have said, there is a 2-drink minimum, which averages a walk-out of $15 (for water/soda only). If you want alcoholic drinks to clear your minimum, you're looking at an averaged $25-30. On top of the drink-water combination I got, I also ordered a catfish dinner that I enjoyed. Not sure why again, people say the food is greasy, a waste, etc. I enjoyed it, and at the table already, you are provided with hot sauce, ketchup, etc. just your basic condiments. Overall, I enjoyed myself, the show, the venue, and the server! As other reviews say, once you successfully pay, you will be provided a ticket-stub to exit. This place is so random inside the best western (it almost always comes up in the comedians set because wth are we doing in a best western??) The pros: This place runs the gamut of who you can see. I saw Sarper from 90 day fiance (iykyk) then the next week we saw Lavell Crawford and the month before we saw Sam Jay. All three of these shows I didnt pay over $100 for 2 tickets so the price is always right. Low key the chicken tenders always hit. The elevator is always broken at this hotel and while you pay extra for a priority seating, it doesn't feel like "priority" when there isn't a cap on the number of people who can purchase priority and thus the line is super long. I went to the Baltimore Comedy Factory with a group of friends and, overall, we had a fun night. Not everyone wants unlimited drinks, so this felt a bit restrictive. Pricing is steep. I ended up spending either $40 for two bottles of water or $60 for a drink and a bottle of water. I have been to several shows at the BCF. It's a fairly decent space but the way some of the seating is set up it feels like you are right on top of each other unless you sit at a two seat table. Depending on what show time you attend you can slide next door to Safari to hear some music, have food/drinks, and dance. There is a 2 drink minimum whether you drink alcohol or not. Drinks are a bit pricey....we were charged $20 for two glasses of wine. A virgin Piña Colada was $15. The food is definitely not anything to write home about. I learned that the food on the menu is not made to order and prepared in batches which I am not crazy about. However, I would definitely recommend this place for good entertaining:) read more

What a unique comedy club! Baltimore comedy factory is now located INSIDE the Best Western hotel in Canton, near the 95 on ramp. The entrance to the club is through the lobby of the hotel, and the box office is located on the ground level. You then proceed up to the second floor where your ticket is verified by a bouncer. Once inside though, you forget all about the building you are in because the vibes are completely authentic. The tables are well laid out such that you have a decent view of the stage no matter where you are. The seats are first come first served although for some shows there is a "preferred seating" ticket tier that gets you early access and therefore the best tables. The servers do a great job managing the tables (two drink minimum!) it can get tough to hear them during the show and they would benefit from a QR code-based ordering system for that reason. We were able to get our two drinks each early in the night and close out our tab without too much hassle. They do also have a food menu which we didn't try. On exit, they require you to show a ticket pricing you met the two drink minimum. There is only one small elevator going back down to the lobby so if you can't take the stairs be prepared for a bit of wait. Overall, what a fun experience! I visited the Baltimore Comedy Factory on Saturday, April 11, 2026, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the service that evening. After being seated, I waited over an hour before anyone came to take my order. I eventually asked another server if they knew who my assigned server was, and he said he would find out and send them over. After waiting another 20 minutes with no follow-up, I had to speak with security at the door just to get someone to come to my table. What made the situation more frustrating was that I watched the server assigned to my section actively serve everyone seated around me before coming to my table. When she finally approached, she told me she "didn't know this was her table," which I found very hard to believe, especially since sections are typically assigned at the start of a shift. To add to the frustration, about 30 minutes after finally taking my order, she returned to tell me it was already last call. At that point, it made more sense why she initially asked whether I wanted to make my glass of wine a double, to meet the minimum purchase requirement, rather than provide normal service. I am a frequent customer at the Baltimore Comedy Factory and regularly attend its shows. In fact, I will be returning this weekend to see Earthquake and already have tickets for several shows scheduled in May, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I truly enjoy the venue and the performers you bring in, but being overlooked for so long while the surrounding tables were served normally was frustrating and not what I have come to expect from the club. The show itself was great, but the service significantly impacted the overall experience. I'm sharing this feedback because I value coming here and hope this was simply an isolated situation rather than the standard level of service guests receive. Hey friends! I've been coming to Baltimore Comedy Club for years. It's one of my favorite spots to catch a show. This time I came for Clayton English, Navv Greene and Money Bag Mafia. There's no longer a roll-call window. Tickets are now verified by a bouncer upstairs. If you arrive after the show start-time, it's self-seating. The tables are moderately spaced out. Definitely spacier than other venues. There's a two drink minimum. You can do bottomless non-alcoholic for $15 or you can choose alcoholic options. You can order a double-shot drink to satisfy the two drink minimum. I ordered the Comedy Cooler and a bottled water. They're very hand handed with the liquor, I love it! They offer typical American-fare for food options. As a heads up, the food is very average. Similar to bowling alley food. That's one thing I wish the comedy club could improve on. More elevated, satisfying culinary options would make this venue perfect. Once you close your tab, your server provides with an exit ticket. You'll provide this to security to exit. This place is ok. We go for the comedy shows. The acts are always great but the venue could be better. First off they charge everything to your check. Example they charged a suggested 18% gratuity, credit card surcharge 1.72%, food tax, liquor tax, non-alcoholic tax. Our drink cost was $15 each for 2 non-alcoholic bottomless drinks. With fees it came up to $37.92. We didn't even get any food or alcohol bit was charged a tax for it. Next time I will pay more attention and bring cash. The ambiance is just like a club. They underwent a recent renovation because the stage looks so much updated and the comedy room looks so much spacious. I strongly prefer you to get preferred seating which is usually $35. You get to stand in a different line and get access to seating first. The venue has a 2 drink minimum per person. I recommend catfish dinner, Buffalo wings, and burger. Nice stand up comedy venue. It appears to have been renovated recently. It is inside the Best Western hotel in Baltimore Maryland. There is a two drink minimum required. To clarify that is not two items but two drinks required per person. They always have really good comedians. They offer specials and promotions and discounts and from time to time free tickets to see comedians. There is a large parking lot with free parking because of the hotel. The wait staff is very kind. First time visiting the comedy club. The headliner, Shuler King was amazingly funny as we knew he would be. The venue was comfortable and worth upgrading to the "Preferred" seating, as my husband is legally blind. The only issue encountered was the food. It was precooked and cold. I love how social media ads update to the city you are visiting. Because of this, we learned that one of my favs Jess Hilarious was in town the same weekend we visited! Checked online and scored tickets to the opening show! The venue is inside a hotel, which I actually liked because I felt super safe and didn't have to wait in the cold or anything. Check-in didn't take long at all. We got front row seats! The drinks were great, but we didn't try food since we had dinner reservations. I had a great time at an event here. All the comedians were funny and everything started on time. Everything at the venue is fairly simple: parking, the box office, finding seating, etc. They have a smooth process to limit any frustration. In regards to the service, it's pretty decent. All the wait staff was respectful. There is a 2 drink minimum, so keep that in mind. The drinks are pretty strong though. The food is nothing to rave about and that's why they are getting 4 stars. I suggest that you eat before you come or just get the fries, even though they were cold with no salt. Everything is over priced, but that is to be expected at a comedy venue. This is my first time back in years. The place was nice. The line split was a bit much, being downstairs at will call them upstairs to get in, that wasn't clearly explained. Maybe put that on the ticket receipt so people know. Then splitting the group was effective. The food was okay, fries were room temp at best. The drinks were ok. Like most comedy clubs/factories I've visited in different states. There's a 2 drink minimum per person. Even if you don't indulge in alcohol, the 2 drink minimum applies for soft drinks too. Now, as many people said in other reviews. The food is horrible. Old grease, frozen food, possible frost bitten food, just nasty and not worth it. I would highly recommend eating before you get there. The cocktails?! Sugar, very little alcohol. I wanted gin martinis, no olives, no Bombay. I then asked for bullet with a splash of ginger ale and an orange slice. No Bullet no orange slices. My friend ordered Long Island Ice Teas. Sugar and mix. That's all that was! Over all, it was a nice comedy show but the food and drinks are wack! Most importantly, it's too dern tight in there. Everyone is breathing down everyone's neck! 3.5 stars... I've seen many great comedians at the Baltimore Comedy Factory - most recently Tony Baker. The club is located within Best Western Hotel. Parking lot fills up but seems adequate. When you enter the hotel, people will direct you to the ticket booth and upstairs to the showroom. I purchased tickets online - apx $6 service fee. Check their social channels and join their email list for discount ticket promotions. Like most comedy clubs, they have dress code restrictions, and food/drink minimums. I get the large frozen drink $16 to cover the requirement - I enjoy it. As a vegetarian, I don't go there for the food. The sound system is good and I can see the comedian. The seating is tight, but that's typical. They have renovated the decor and the artwork on the walls and on the stage looks good. Would like to see them expand their menu options, space out the tables and double check all the menus and table cards are clean. read more

11/2019 visit after the updates!!! They finally got rid of the raggedy curtains. The vibe inside is updated from before, but still has the throwback, hole in the wall comedy club feel. The order systems in place appear a little annoying , but they work perfectly for ordering food and drinks, getting your bill, and getting out in an orderly fashion. They are also a bar and game room, SAFARI, attached to the lower side of the building. read more

This was my fourth visit to the comedy factory and it was my most pleasurable experience. I arrived 20 mins after the doors opened, went right to the box office, upstairs to the venue and found a decent seat without any lines. My waitress Giselle (I think that's her name) was really nice and had really good energy. I was alone and she didn't make me feel awkward. My drink came out fast and did it's job, lol (I ordered a 4/20 specialty drink). For food, I just ordered fries bc I was never a fan of their food. The fries were hot and well seasoned. The show started on time so that was also a plus. I received a free ticket for a future show and I'm definitely thinking of attending. read more
