This salon was recommended to me and I had such a great experience. I visited on a Tuesday late afternoon and had also made an appointment, so there was so wait. At least 3 staff members were present and they all seemed friendly/polite. I could hear the techs quietly exchanging pleasantries/small talk with customers, but not the disruptive and excessive chatter amongst (each other) that I have experienced in many other shops. Only a handful of patrons passed thru while I was there. Still, I got the vibe that the atmosphere of this shop is pretty chill, even on busy days. My nail tech was Sonny and I got an SNS Mani + pedi. He was extremely professional and polite throughout my time there. He frequently checked to see how I was doing to make sure that I was still comfortable and to ensure that I was satisfied with his work. He did not chat at all otherwise, which was perfect for me! He was very attentive to detail. My nails turned out great. The environment of the shop was very casual and clean. Spacing of the stations is comfortable. It is located near Sam Furr road which can be pretty hectic ,but don't let that be a deterrent. This shop is actually located across from a residential street so it is actually pretty quiet/low traffic. I can honestly say that this is the best experience that I have had in a multistaff nail shop. My only suggestion would be having the option to book online. I certainly plan to return. read more

Clean facility, friendly staff, great service! Bally nails is my new favorite nail salon. They provide prompt and excellent service. I usually get pedicures and SNS. Their nail techs are always so friendly and helpful. For my last two visits, I booked an appointment and was seen on time. Sonny did my SNS both times and he did a good job. He inquires on if you like his filing/shape and seems very attentive to details. The quality of the SNS dip is ok - my first had cracks in the dip on week 2 and set started to lift on week 3 (expected). I do like the overall look of my nails, however I wish the feel of the nails were smoother - he didn't really reshape the nail only used a buffer drill after application. Was new to the area and was in need of new nail salon as my former one was too far to travel to. I visited a couple of nail salons in the area prior to visiting this one and I wasn't too impressed. However, when I walked in Bally Nails, I was immediately greeted and due to me being a walk in, I had to wait a bit, but not too long. Lena did an excellent job on my pedicure and was very thorough, but gentle when cleaning/cutting my cuticles. After this first visit, I was sold! I then made an appointment to get a SNS manicure and have been coming back ever since. Sonny does an excellent job and isn't rough at all. He's very thorough and takes pride in making sure the service he provides is done correctly and to your satisfaction. Yen and staff are very friendly and personable and the salon is kept clean. I've been returning to be serviced here since last July and I don't plan on going anywhere else anytime soon, they're stuck with me! LOL read more

Today, seeking a manicure and pedicure, it was a long wait as the five technicians were working with customers. On a hot summer day, I decided it was best to wait. Yesterday was my first time at this particular salon and I had a wonderful experience. I got a pedicure by a male technician (didn't catch his name) and he did an excellent job and then got a dip powder acrylic set put on by Yen. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she was able to replicate exactly what I wanted!Yen was very detailed in her work and made sure my nails looked perfect not just to me but to her before I left the salon. I have been going to Yen at this establishment for over a year. I recently mistakenly though my appointment was at 2:30 and arrived at approximately 2:23. I apologized to my technician "Yen" and asked the her if I needed to reschedule. She responded "no". I wish I would have rescheduled as I was shamed for asking to get my water from the car and taking too long to pick a color and met with an overall bad attitude during the entire visit. Regardless of this treatment I remained pleasant, apologized again before leaving and tipped her well. I understand that this is your livelihood and that I made a mistake, but I would have much rather been asked to reschedule, than be treated like a child being punished by her parents. I have been coming to you for quite some time without incident, so not sure why this passive aggressive behavior. Later discovered that Yen marked my appointment as a no show in Vagaro. Worst pedicure in my life! The owner didn't even try to make it right. Left with dirty crooked cut nails!

Walked in at 2:45 Was asked what I wanted by a gentleman who doesn't do acrylics and told to wait. Waited patiently for over an hour. Two ladies doing acrylics. Not one person spoke to me after I sat down. Another customer walks in as a walk in customer as I was setting there listening. She said I need old acrylics removed and new ones applied. The gentleman took her and he had her start soaking her old nails off and one of the ladies finished their client and proceeded to take her as the next client. I believe she over looked me to be honest. So patiently I sat there and sat there. After a hour and twenty minute wait with no check in on me, I left. Called to speak to a manager/owner and Yen proceeded to loudly speak over me and continually say maaaammm and speak loudly dragging her words as if I couldn't understand. I asked her to please stop speaking over me and dragging her words out like I was a child or stupid. She told me I had a problem understanding. She told me that I could record her or whatever and complain if I wanted to. She clearly has no fear of retribution from her job as it says it's a "family business". She did not care nor did she need my business. Also she could care less about any bad review. Actually hung up on me. Totally mind blown and In shock at the rudeness and lack of professionalism. Zero customer skills and zero concern for the bad impression upon her employer. I can only imagine what the customers setting there thought hearing her speak to a caller the way she did. Save your time and spend your money at some of the other great nail businesses in Lake Norman. I usually use Lee Nails (I highly recommend. They constantly check on you, offer you beverages and offer great service with super minimal wait. Lots of staff always on hand) but had lunch at showmars next door and thought I'd give Bally a try. Seriously the most unprofessional, uncaring, rude and vile service I've ever experienced in any service industry. Walked in expecting to spend close to a hundred dollars on nails and tip. Obviously not needed business according to Yen. I don't write a lot of reviews but boy I knew I at least had to write this one. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I need to add an edit as a response to Yen whom said she was NOT a manager or owner but obviously is A. Lying about that or B. A regular employee with access to write responses on behalf of a business who obviously is ok with a low level of customer service and has no interest in bettering their customer service skills. Why would you when you don't value your customers? AND ITS BROOKLYN, (like the American City) Yinnnn not Brooklinn. The level of professionalism is astounding. I encourage everyone to take a look at Facebook reviews. The last two are specifically about the rudeness and disrespect for their clientele. Yen's response is quite helpful in accessing how she speaks to and treats a customer who dares to actually have a complaint. I actually thanked her for proving my point. Following is my response to her response that was also posted on Facebook. NOTE: she likes comments on responses and even likes them on complaints as if to say "we saw this" but also notice ZERO attempt to be professional and settle a difference with a client who had a bad experience. I am the only review she responded to and I believe it was because she knew she had crossed a line and been called out publicly for it. So spin the story and be rude yet again while at it.... For the record the gentleman asked what I was there for after I had already taken a seat to wait. I responded acrylics and he turned and walked off. He said nothing to me. But I suppose Yen who was across the salon heard everything even the customer that I was a few feet from that asked for ACRYLICS. Facebook response: Yen! It's me. I was the one in there. Not my mother. I would think you'd notice since I'm the one in my picture! I'm 23. Thanks for thinking I'm my mother though. I didn't realize you were the owner and post on the official Facebook page! You were asked for the owner or manager and you said "they aren't here" so with that I can see this will go nowhere. You can put your spin on it all you want. You were completely unprofessional and began berating a customer in what escalated into quite a aggressive verbal response on your behalf. That's fine. You've lost a customer. Clearly you don't mind and I have no problem spending my money with one of your MANY competitors. No loss on either side. Your response above shows the level of your professionalism. Thanks so much for making the case. Oh and thanks for saying you wouldn't like my business for about the tenth time today and then proceed to advise me to make an appointment next time..... Doesn't make a lot of sense but I can understand why after your irrational nonsensical response twice now today. As I said no worries I won't be back! Take care! Wanted to get my nails done fast due to being in the area. Saw their page on Instagram and fell in love however, the services do not compare to what is shown. I asked for something and it was completely shut down by two employees and it was only tips for SNS. I was in the salon for over two hours for only SNS. Either the employee or store also smelled of marijuana in areas. I will not be back as this was a waste of money. I also just realized one nail does not even have the sns top coat due to him filling it over. I have heard so many great things about this place from coworkers and I just had to check them out! There were so many colors options, it was so hard to pick and I love the friendly technicians. I work in the Birkdale area and will pick this shop every time. Im always taken care of right away, its a little far from my home, but worth it! I travel a lot and know when you're getting a full set you're kinda rolling the dice on service and quality. There were no reviews but I decided to go anyway. During my session the lady had cut my new nails at a good length however as the service went on she filed them shorter and shorter. By the time it was over my right hand had the same length of my natural nails. (Which was WAY shorter than my left hand) I brought this to her attention and they lady laughed and said "awe way short". I reminded her it wasn't funny and she just laughed( I am very upset). After I washed my hands I noticed that she needed to still clean under my nails and when she did she just left all the white dust there without cleaning them. They took 5$ off of the total bill and I left without tipping. I get my nails done often and this was the most uncomfortable/worst nail place I've been to. My mom also received a pedicure and had a blister on her foot and let them know to please steer clear of it. The woman had made zero effort to honor her wishes and cut into it and had to get a bandaid. What a relaxing day it should have been turned into frustration and disappointment. read more

This is such a great nail salon. I always go to Yen and she's amazing. I get dip powder with tips and she is very attentive to detail to making sure they look perfect each step of the way. She preps your nails each time extremely well so the tip and powder stay on and never break after I leave. She's really easy to talk to and it's easy to make an appointment through their Instagram or phone call! She also posts a lotttttt of their work on the Instagram so that helps to see the different colors and nail shapes they can do! She does a fresh set every time, preps the nails, trims, buffers, cuts, and shapes the nail for the same price whereas a lot of other salons keep adding $5 fees for all of that!
