We were approached by Economy to remove 2 dying trees in our parkway. The first quote was $1500 and he quickly lowered it to $1,100. When we said we were looking into the town removing them, he lowered the price to $800. We told him to leave his business card and we'd get back to him. We called back and asked if they would remove the 2 trees for $500 cash. We agreed on $580 cash. When the owner came to collect, he told me we got an extremely good deal and asked for $50 more. Then he stated that on the invoice it says "no dirt or mulch removal when grinding stumps" and Economy actually removed everything. Not my problem. I felt the owner was manipulatIve. He quickly left when he realized he wasnt getting anywhere with me.

We contacted Paradise Tree Service through Yelp, we asked about 3 stumps needing removing. They…read moresaid they'd be there in 15 minutes and, they were. I showed them what was needed, they gave a fair price, said it would take a couple hours, and got to work. We went to the bank for cash (they don't take credit cards) and 2 hours later they were done. Stumps gone, cleaned up as good as possible (would be impossible to remove every bit of sawdust), we paid, and they were off. Very polite, responsive (we contacted at least 5 other tree service companies which either didn't respond or didn't show up when they said they would), and job done well. Will call again if needed.
