I had no idea it was "Friends" themed until my wife brought it up. Place was a little cramped , and they messed up my wife's Chai latte order. Some people will fall in love with this place. Cheers

I had dinner in Baldwin Park, and the place we were eating at had run out of dessert. So they recommended the cafe down the street. We walked down, and found what we assumed was the aforementioned cafe. We walk in, and get slapped in the face with Friends ideology. Not a bad thing. In fact, a great thing. Friends from top to bottom. Other various artwork adorned pretty much every square inch of wall. It was counter service, and the people were very friendly. I had a few questions about the dozens of different items in the glass cabinets, and I ended up working my way to what I thought were the appropriate decisions. I couldn't find the exact items we ordered I don't think, but the first one was some type of cheesecake with a thin layer of lime curd or something on top. It was good! It was tall, and the cheesecake was dense enough to hold up strong. No collapse here. A fair amount of sweetness, a good sharp zing from the lime, and a nice crust to tie it all together. Our second item, though, I think was the Hazelnut Chocotart. This looked good, but it was not great. The tart crust itself was fantastic. The roasted whole hazelnuts on top were excellent. But the entire rest of the volume of the thing was pure, thick, overly sweet chocolate ganache. I'm sure some people would love that, but I recognized the lack of balance, and was off put. Overall, this was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was unbeatable, the cheesecake was good, and there are plenty of other pastry and food items available for me to try. I'll be back one day.

Pros: Loved the Friends ambiance. People can say they love Friends, but these people actually show it, and I love that. Service was pretty ok. It was counter service, they were friendly enough, but there were a few tables that were dirty when we came in, and it was pretty slow. Cons: The food itself was pretty ok. A very stiff cheesecake had good fruity notes. And there was a hazelnut tart that was entirely too much chocolate. But they were tasty! Tips: Skip the cheesecake and the tarts. There are plenty of other options in the glass case.

This is one of my new favorite café spots! The coffee is great and there is a solid selection of specialty drinks without being too many that it's overwhelming. I really love the Dubai pistachio latte, but the current special, which is lavender, I love. Their matcha is also really good and not overly sweetened. Truthfully, I did not expect the food to be as good as it is. I guess I just don't expect much beyond frozen sandwiches and pastries from a coffee shop, but they have a pretty full breakfast menu. My favorite is the avocado toast with smoked salmon... I could eat this for breakfast every day. Everything is really fresh and the breakfast portions are pretty decently sized as well next to my list to try is one of the crêpes. It's a relatively small spot, but they have a decent amount of seating inside and outside. The staff is really friendly. I have to say, I am a huge friend fan so that theming makes it even more fun for me, but it's honestly great either way. The changing art gallery on the walls is also a nice touch.

I absolutely love the service here! I've been a few times alone and once with a group a friends. It's always accommodating and the clientele is just as friendly as the staff. I've had several menu items but of course the coffee takes center stage. I really enjoy the hot options to sit, sip and enjoy. I've had two of the charcuterie options, the salad and wine as well. All have been fantastic. Parking is as expected for the area, but the experience is well worth it

Located in downtown Baldwin perk, this was a very busy coffee shop for a Monday morning! There were tons of tables, chairs, sofas and outdoor seating available. They serve both drinks and food options, along with a bakery case. They didn't have a ton of specialty drink items which is what I enjoy about trying new coffee shops. There was WiFi available which made remote work possible from the cafe, although it was really loud so not the best remote work location. The coffee was just ok, nothing special.

Friends fans, this is your Central Perk moment. Grab a giant mug, sink into a cozy couch, and channel your inner Ross, Monica, Chandler, or Phoebe. Because yes, Rachel might just be the one serving you. I think they could lean into the theme even more though: imagine baristas dressed as the gang, '90s décor all around, and iconic tracks like "Smelly Cat" playing softly in the background. Know what I mean? That being said, no complaints about the service. It was phenomenal. My decaf oat milk cappuccino and the mint chocolate chip gelato both hit the spot. Oh, and bonus points for dog lovers: they hand out pup-friendly treats -- whipped cream cups topped with a dog biscuit. And when you visit, just remember that "I told you that was gonna be this way"...

Came back to Baldwin Perk with my husband on a Saturday morning for brunch. Everything was just as good as last time! The only downside was that my husband's order came out about 20 minutes before mine, and they forgot my coffee until I reminded them after my food arrived. I'd still definitely come back because I love the food, but next time I might try to visit during a less busy time for better service.

A very fun and unique Friends themes Cafe located in the heart of downtown Baldwin Park. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, free Wi-Fi, full meals, and delicious snacks! The interior decor as well as obviously the name, lends themselves into being themed around the famous sitcom. They have tons of adorable little nods and themed decor throughout. Stop was very friendly and quick to get everything out. It is also a very busy location during peak times so be ready to wait for a seat or take your snacks to go while you walk around the Baldwin area. Overall: A A fun themed cafe in the middle of Baldwin Park.

Gelato!

Love this coffee spot! Inside is very cozy with plenty of seating and lots of cool art, including "Friends" inspired decor. Their coffee is made well, the pesto chicken flatbread is amazing, they even have yummy gelato! Definitely a great place to grab a quick bite, a yummy drink, or to hang out.

What a sweet little gem in the lovely Baldwin park neighborhood! Fans of the hit show Friends will obviously get a kick out of the themed decor! I adored it myself as a fan of the show and made sure to get some instagram pics. To be honest, I didn't expect much in terms of quality given that the appeal would presumably be in the theme. Glad to admin that I was wrong though! The coffee and breakfast were very nice! The portion to price ratio was also a bonus as I ordered one of the boards and it was quite large! Easily shareable- I had leftovers. If I weren't so full, I'd have grabbed a pastry but my friend had one of the double chocolate muffins and gave good feedback. As far as my meal, I was extremely impressed with the waffles. They were very crispy and just the right touch of sweet! I do wish they had proper maple syrup but at these prices can't expect the world! My only minor complain about the board would be the eggs. I asked for scrambled and I think they were either a powder mix of eggs or frozen. Just lacked flavor and were super rubbery. Felt misplaced amongst the other quality items. Otherwise, I was very satisfied! This is my new regular coffee joint in Baldwin. I come to visit semi regularly so will plan for my coffee fix here. Do note though that the cafe is counter service and tables are self seating. It can be very hard to get a table as the place gets packed. You might have to be patient but it's worth it!

I've dined here twice in the past week. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both were excellent. Had the Baldwin Waffle Breakfast the first time and the Chicken Pesto sandwich for lunch. The atmosphere is so cozy and the theming is on point. Coffee is perfect and the service is friendly and warm.

My family member has a severe nut allergy and the owner accepts zero accountability and instead puts the onus solely onto their customers. One would think a menu with labels like "gluten free" or "nut free" or "vegan" were accurate - unfortunately, with this establishment, they were careless and inconsistent. At most respectable establishments the servers ask about allergies. Maybe that's just a California thing (where I'm from)? This whole place is California-coded that, hey, maybe incorporate that in your best practices like restaurants IN California actually do. I can agree that, to be extra cautious, someone may mention to the server about any allergies. However, if you have dishes labeled with nut free, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, etc. you would think that you could trust the menu. Sadly, you CANNOT trust this establishment to hold true to what's labeled. Vegan? Sorry - the sauce might actually have butter. Vegetarian? Oh sorry, those beans were cooked with ham hock. Nut free? Oopsies, the sauce has nuts. Do better. Accept accountability. And maybe review your menus (online and physical) so that you can be consistent and not be the cause of a medical emergency due to negligence and carelessness.

At Roses, this theory stands validated. Returning after a hiatus of over five years, and with the space having transformed from its previous incarnation, I found myself pleasantly surprised. The coffee was impeccable -- rich, balanced, and expertly prepared -- a true marker of a café that understands its craft. The French toast I ordered was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, tender within, and satisfying enough to fuel a motorcycle ride on a bright Saturday morning. The atmosphere is quietly charming -- a laid-back, metro-inspired aesthetic that feels both familiar and effortlessly stylish. It's clear that Roses has cultivated a devoted local following, while also welcoming newcomers with open arms. Located conveniently for a weekend breakfast, Roses proved a worthy alternative after a missed opportunity elsewhere on Park Avenue.
