The woman who massaged me spoke hardly any English and she didn't give me a great massage, half the time she was just pressing against my body, sometimes just pressing against my bones. I've been to other Asian massage/reflexology places where I've received a much better massage, so it's likely just hit or miss based on who you get, but this place definitely charged more than the other places I've gone to. Every time varies based on who you get but they generally follow that format. This location is very clean and they cover you with a blanket instead of a towel. They also give you a basket to put your belongings in. It's really reasonable for the hour ($30), so I always tip extra ($10+). Considering how much you end up tipping at a more expensive salon, I like to go off of amount not % here. Highly recommend calling ahead so you don't have to wait when you get there. They booked me in for early the morning. When I arrived they got me in to a room quickly. I told them I had never been to a spa before, and the receptionist was kind and told me what to do. The room was really nice, and it was dark, peaceful, warm and relaxing. There were covid measures in place, with an air purifier, fresh bed dressings, and an additional cover for the table where my head went. As far as the massage, it was really really wonderful. She responded to my requests for pressure, and communicated with me to make sure I was feeling comfortable. She spent time working on my difficult spots, but also worked the whole body. I dont have anything to compare it to, but I'd say it was really wonderful and I felt so much better afterwards. I was happy she worked on my knots and got some smoothed out. On my way out, the owner was at the front of the shop and offered me water, and a snack to help with the post-massage effects. Tao is definitely one of my top three go-to massage therapists at this Bothell location. If you're looking for a quieter, more relaxing experience, I highly recommend coming earlier in the day.
