We decided to give Sunny Massage a try, and overall, it was a great experience. The place is located in a tiny house-style building with a small parking lot right out front. It's definitely not a luxury spa setting, so if you're looking for that upscale ambiance, this isn't it. But if you're after good value and effective massage work, it delivers. Since it's located right off 8th Street, we could hear some traffic and people talking outside, but it wasn't too distracting. The massage itself was just what we needed with firm pressure, great technique, and they even incorporated hot stones, which was a nice touch. They really focused on working out the knots, and we both left feeling refreshed. This feels like the kind of place we'd happily return to for regular body maintenance. Great value, effective massages, and exactly what we were looking for.

While looking on Yelp for massage spots around Bellevue I stumbled…read moreupon this new business, Be Happy Massage Spa, which turned out to have one of the more affordable prices around town. Plus, they are still running their opening specials where prices are discounted for all different massages. Located in the Overlake Square Mall in the Bel-Red area, it's right next to Dough Zone. I called when they opened and was able to make an appointment for a 90-minute massage that same day, for the late afternoon. For the body massage, you're in a private room and can strip down. However, they also offer foot massages in their main room in a shared space. My masseuse was Jeff and he was very, very good! I lift weights and box everyday, so my muscles are always really sore. Therefore, I really needed a deep tissue massage to get some blood flowing to my muscles and help loosen up. Before Jeff began he asked what level of firmness I wanted and he made sure throughout the entire time I was okay with the pressure. It was definitely what I needed. With COVID-19, all staff were wearing masks and in the private room, the client does not have to wear a mask since they're mostly face down on the massage table. But everything was very clean and they change the sheets and blankets as soon as the client leaves the room. For 90 minutes, it was $75 and for an hour, it was $50 for a body massage in the private room. Great deal! At checkout I was given a complimentary bottled water and a stamp card where after 10 massages you get a free foot massage. I'll be racking up on that stamp card!

They have the bars on the top of the ceiling so they can walk on you, and stretch you from top down and left to right in all the places you forgot you had. It is not as relaxing during it as you need to focus on your breathing a lot more, however the gains after it are great for circulation. The only thing I would improve is the intensity level varied on certain areas when I had already expressed I needed it softer. It was just a little confusing when I got there because this is place is on the second floor of an office building. When I got there it was locked. II called the office and they directed me where to park my car and that the therapist was arriving soon. He did put music on to provide some ambience, which is definitely important for the massage experience. I definitely felt lighter and looser after it. Recommend to go on a lighter stomach.

There are a lot of positives I could list, but here are the ones that I appreciated the most: The location is in a clean safe and easily accessible building. The parking can sometimes be a little sparse so give yourself a few extra minutes. Her massage space is cozy and beautifully decorated. The music she plays is soothing and not distracting. Now for the massage. Her massage is a mixture of relaxing and therapeutic. She somehow always finds my right areas or spots where the muscles are tense and methodically works through those areas. But the massage is also very relaxing and soothing as well. A nice hybrid. You can book online through her website which is super convenient as well. I would give it 10 stars if I could. She didn't just follow a routine -- she truly customized the session based on my body's needs and focused on the areas that needed the most attention. I went to Redmond because I had the day off, and I had been wanting to check out Farine (I'm on a quest to experience all French pastry on the western seaboard). Jayshree's clinic location was easy to find and had good parking, which is always a bonus. Something you should know about me... I like a FIRM touch and I actually think if the massage doesn't hurt a little bit, it's probably not doing what it's supposed to. Jayshree was like, I'm in if you're in... Um, WOW... This was an AMAZING massage. I actually think Jayshree hit layers of muscle that have been hitherto unexplored by a masseuse before her. The intensity in some specially egregious spots caused my soul to leave my body a few times, but I'm pretty sure my grunting and groaning didn't bother Jayshree in the least. As a reward for your hard work, she weighs you down in warm heavy things to relax. So yeah, the massage was intense in the BEST way... afterwards I could breathe more deeply, giving a much-needed assist to my in-car singing range. And my neck... I think, it's longer?? And now I can turn my head both ways! Am I taller, too??? It occurs to me that my flexibility and range of motion could be IMPROVED by regular massage? Why did that never occur to me before? Massage for me, historically, has only been my go-to when I have trouble stretching out recurring problem areas, but now I'm seeing a world of possibility in exercise performance improvement too!
