WOW. This out of the way distillery is well worth the drive, and with free tasting and tour, it makes up for the drive (which is not bad). They are very knowledgeable and answer all questions about the distilling process in an easy way to understand. They were able to answer all the questions i had and help debunk a few myths i understood about moonshine! I love it when the owner of a small business is able to be the one who explains his product, as the pride of their product comes out in the way they explain everything. The quality of their building, tasting, and distilling room tell you they take pride in making the moonshine!! The moonshine is very reasonably priced and had a great flavor. The carmel moonshine was my favorite. We got several different kinds of moonshine, and with the suggested uses, they told us about we are looking forward to drinking the moonshine. As an added bonus, they have several horses and alpacas that my wife was able to pet and feed (with their treats). SUPPORT AMERICAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (I am no way affiliated with this business and was just visiting from Arizona).

Lovely place, nice people. Loved the view, the tasting room and the horses. Nice drive from the caves.

First time having a few drinks at the bar and then following it up with their distillery tour. Both…read morewere amazing! Drinks were stellar and the tour was even better. The tour was very informative and entertaining. The taste testing was well worth it. We taste tested many different flavored Moonshines, (20 proof) but still very tasty. They tasted like liquid Jolly Ranchers. Then Vodka, Bourbon and last, but not least, a few Whiskeys. One was 111 proof. They have a very nice looking gift shop. All of their Whiskeys, Bourbon's, Moonshine's and Vodka are available for purchase plus everything else you can Imagine. Clothing, hats, flights, etc. you can buy some cool looking stuff. Quick summery?!? It was well worth the money. 90 minutes drinking and a tour combined? Time well spent in my book. I'd go back again in a heartbeat.

OUTSTANDING!!!!!…read more Let's just start right there. We are visiting from Virginia, a friend who recently moved to the area. They had heard good things about SKD but hadn't visited or sampled their products. But today was the day. Let me touch on the tour - wow. The tour was expected to be about an hour but we stayed at least two, maybe a bit more. Our guide - Luther, is a hell of a nice fella. Taught us a lot. He told us how he's been friends with several of the other since school days and you can tell he really loves this place. This post would be too long to go over every great thing about the tour and sampling - so go and see for yourself. The products: Folks I'm not a big drinker. But I will say this. I came out buying, a bottle of their Vodka, two bottles of bourbon, and two bottles of flavored shine. I will also say I love each and every shine flavor and it was hard to choose just two. The location: new, very clean, and great looking. Inside and out. Lastly the staff: Again Luther was a great fella. The counter girls were crazy friendly and nice and then the owner Junior was just so nice and personable. Folks come here, bring your friends, and have a great time. We absolutely will be back when we return to the area. Hoping to catch a night when they have something going on like music outside.

First of all, I am a huge Heaven Hill fan and a self-appointed bourbon nerd and this tour is…read morecompletely worth it. What you get when you bottle your own is definitely one of a kind, they were pouring the first Elijah Craig rye while I was there. Also, this place is beautiful and you have to visit the bar upstairs after your tour. Completely worth it. However, the bourbon bubble is over for now. Less people drinking and willing to pay secondary prices. Furthermore, a lot of us have gotten pretty smart watching YouTube and reading about this amazing brown elixir. So, the 51% corn and new oak barrel stuff can probably be dropped, but tell me what is special about my choices. I also asked our friendly tour guy if HH was bringing back the 12 year age statement on the Elijah Craig and he responded 12 years? (A few years ago EC dropped the age statement, because bourbon was being sold so fast, they had difficulty obtain older bourbon for this brand). My point is be unique, tell me something that we don't know, what is HH doing to deal with the change in the bourbon trend, what is the new thing in bourbon. Take a tour of Wild Turkey Russel Reserve tour, they did it right.

This place is really cool. This was our first visit to a distillery and Old Glory is impressive…read more The building itself is a giant brick building like an old factory from the 1920s. The inside appears to have been recently updated and renovated. On one side is the restaurant, the other is a tasting room, and the distilling in the in middle. We came in for lunch. Started out with old fashions which were spot in, ended up having two. For lunch it was the standard American fare. We had some lighter options like salads and shared plates. The food overall was good, but not extraordinary. Service could have been a little more attentive however. After lunch, we headed to the tasting room. The standard tasting was $16 which seemed to be quite reasonable. Some of the tastings are 90-100 proof, so be ready for that. Also picked up some T-shirts. We would have picked up a bottle, but because of TSA you would have to put it in a checked bag. We did end up picking up a bottle at the Nashville airport after security, but the cost is about 30% more. They indicated that you can order online and have it shipped. Looks like they do tours, but we did not have the time on this day. Definitely a stop if you are a whiskey drinker and in the Clarksville area.
