The good... It was our first time here today and it was really, really good! This place is tucked into a cozy corner in the Sage Hill shopping area. It's small inside, screaming easy and super flavorful food. The menu is easy to read, the service was friendly and very prompt. The ingredients are fresh and authentic, serving pickled Persian cucumbers instead of kerbies... so good! One memorable thing that caught my eye was how they made their wraps, using a thin crepe-like wrap over the parted pita bread. When they finish the wrap in the hot press, it comes out very crispy and lighter than using an only pita. Excellent method and very tasty! Pricing is very reasonable, medium wraps come at 9 bucks and are stuffed with plenty of meat and vegetables. This place is not chintzy at all! The bad... The beef donair meat was a little too salty, but still very tasty. The ugly... The fellow manning the food preparations has a pretty serious face when it gets busy, but I get the sense he just wants to serve people quickly and not make them wait long for their order. When it calms down he seems more at ease. I can live with this; the place was pretty busy when we walked in at 4pm. This was as ugly as it got, otherwise, it was pretty easy and fast to get some chill grub here. What we ordered... A beef donair, a chicken shawarma, a bottle of water. All totaling to $21. I have been a regular customer here. Their food is really good but The customer service is not. I always order over the phone and they end up making mistakes on my orders. When I call to let them know, all they say is 'sorry" !! I ordered some food again today and instead of calling I opted to do online order. To my surprise, they made a mistake in that order as well. I had a note saying that i don't want any potatoes in my shish tawouk order and would prefer extra salad instead . when i brought the food home I realized that they didn't follow my instructions. I called them to let them know and the guy said that we are busy so made a mistake and that I should next time go to their restaurant and order in person to make sure I get the right order!!!. I didn't like that 'Attitude". Had it been some other restaurant, they would've said that they would compensate for their mistake when we order next time! We have been trying to support the local businesses but after this experience im not sure if we should order from them again. Hope they change their attitude towards their loyal customers!! This will in turn would be of great benefit for their business. We have also recommended their name to our friends so that they can get good business . During COVID times we try to avoid going into a restaurant and that's why we prefer placing order ahead but the staff here doesn't seem to care about the safety of their patrons and may be even themselves at the same time:( and him suggesting me to go in person to order next time doesn't make sense in the given situation!! read more

I've had it 3 times in the last two weeks. Can't say enough good about the food quality. I even reheated a shawarma the next day and it tasted as good. The one west of this one is not bad but I've found some of the service rude (other locations not like it). The one east has dry and hard falafels which aren't how it's supposed to be. Food is great here. Unfortunately for my last order I was extremely disappointed and for that my 2 star review. My delivery had incorrect items and there was hair in my food. Something that I would have hoped just meant an apology when I called the store and maybe a small compensation, not even worth noting compared to the following. Instead the owner first tried to make some excuses for the errors and it followed with him offering me some complimentary food. But I could only receive said compensation on one condition, removing my comment on Skip the Dishes (which simply read, received an incorrect item and there was food in the hair - an automatic response I gave when skip asked if I received my order correctly which I hadn't). I was honestly in shock, that a business owner would not take ownership for their error and then have the audacity to resort to bribery. When I called him out on this and said I would rather no compensation, he then got rather defensive and guilting me saying "you really want us to look bad" insisting I remove the comment (not even sure there is a way to do so...) and then further insisting that in exchange for the food I leave a positive review. Okay place. Prices are decent. Food is pretty good but super wet/oily. The food was semi-quick, about double what you would be waiting for at Macs. The inside of the store is very clean though, as an upside. I would recommend coming here if you are craving shawarma or their great selection of eastern drinks. Very Kid friendly. read more

Went there on Friday Nov24th @ 8:30 pm and they were closed, even though the sign said 9:00 pm, about a dozen people inside all looking at us like we were aliens. hmmm was not happy that I had to do the walk of shame. Horrible service considering it's a New business. The owner needs to know that first impression is the last. No consideration for someone who come at the end of the day. This happened twice. The staff just looks dumb founded when they see someone at the end of the day. I will NOT be returning to this location or recommending them to anyone. There are amazing shawarma places like (Shawarma Palace) we have been to Shawarma Palace many locations with great customer service, even if we go few minutes before closing. Just got back from Baladi for dinner. We are repeat customers but this will be our last time coming here. Food is good but service the last 2 times has been horrid!!! They serve all their "to go" and ppl who order "wraps" first. After waiting for a half hr..I finally asked where our food was cuz we were the last ones waiting for food and literally the first to order. Owner lost his cool and said they have a "system". What system...making ppl with a 2 yr old wait a half hr for food when they pump others in and out? When we left ...owner kept his head down...I had to say "have a good night".
