This might be the perfect place for the perfect food. The regular size is ginormous but they do offer a bigger version. Everything is fresh, tasted clean and crisp and savory and creamy and meaty juicy but not too juicy - see, perfect! The service was quick and the people so nice. I think the owner/manager was the one who individually brought us complimentary sweet tea while we waited for our to go order. We were on our way to the airport, this awesome place is just 15 minutes and on our way - and the entire Shwarma was only $14. I couldn't finish it and that was the saddest part of my meal. This is one of my all-time favourite restaurants and definitely some of the best Middle Eastern food I have ever had. They are very allergy sensitive which is amazing. They keep separate fryers for their potatoes and falafel etc., which is huuuuge for me because I am celiac (severe gluten allergy). This separate-fryers practice is very rare for a Middle Eastern restaurant, and means a ton for me because it means I can eat there without being worried about getting sick - and indeed I have never had any sort of reaction from eating there. My friend has been telling me to try the NW location for years but it's totally out of the way for me. Finally tried this location, and now I'm wondering where it's been all my life in Calgary! I've been twice now. Everything is so fresh and delicious. The flavours are different than other Schwarma and donair places in Calgary. I read an article about it in the Calgary Herald and apparently they marinate their own meat, where as most other places get their meat from the same place. I am writing this review because of my experience with the clown that owns the country hills location . I wanted a order for 15-20 people so they gave me the owners numbers. I called him told him what I wanted he made a few recommendations and we agreed on a family packs with a mix of everything. Went to pickup my order and didn't check my food before taking it home because everything ended being same in all the family packs and not what I ordered. 300$ or so latter and half the food going into garbage (I think he made my order from everything that doesn't sell and about to expire just to get rid of it) and after talking to the owner again telling him it's not what we talked about and he tried to say that was the order and finally agreed he made a mistake and said I can get 50% of my next order in the future. I tried txting the clown to try ordering there again a few months later and no answer, little does he know his read receipt is on and the other person can see you read the msg. **Msg for the owner: DONT TAKE ORDERS over the phone and actually don't take orders period because you don't listen (I told you this in the text that day aswell) and don't make promises you can't keep.
