The space reminds me of a French café, not that I've been to France but it's what I seen in movies. They have parking in the back, and free WiFi available for customers. They have a very young team of workers, which makes me think the owner is really looking to invest in the community by hiring local high school students. They are all super professional and attentive to the atmosphere and customers. Now to my FAVORITE PART! The food is AMAZING. I can only speak on the one thing I've been ordering but the Caprese sandwich is soooooo good. It comes with chips or a salad and it's the perfect lunch. I've also had their sweet chai latte which is equally as good. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the Issaquah area.

The second time was especially inconvenient because we made sure to place our order at least half an hour in advance so it would be ready, as we had a doctor's appointment and were in a rush. We also tried to find a phone number to call ahead and make sure our food was ready, but they don't have one. We ended up having to come back later for our order because it wasn't ready. We were already in a rush, and the staff held us up even more and seemed to care more about arguing with us than resolving the issue. When did it become the norm to pay high-end prices for food and be met with such unwelcoming and entitled treatment when the mistake was made on their part?! The only reasonable person who tried to be accommodating was a young blonde lady who showed kindness and grace. The rest of the employees behaved poorly without offering any apologies. We asked them to wait to make the food until we come back so it doesn't sit cold but when we came back, our $80 worth of sandwiches were already cooked, given to us cold and lacked freshness, so we ended up not eating them. The food tasted pretty delicious the first time we tried it, so I give it one star for that and one star for how cute the interior is. But boy, what a bitter taste their handling of a customer after making a mistake left me with! It's something I'll definitely consider whenever I decide whether I want to come back. I chose Kathy's special mocha, which was a white coffee with chocolate and caramel. It was delicious. Not too sweet, but very creamy. It didn't even taste like coffee, which makes me wonder what white coffee means. The little coffee shop also has a variety of other drinks some of them involving red bull or lotus energy. I liked the creativity, but I'd personally only come here for coffee and maybe a smoothie or one of their baked goods. They also have sandwiches. There was a daily special sign that said specialty drinks are 10% off, but I didn't see the sign until after I ordered and idk if my drink counted as a specialty drink or if I got the discount. Haha. Oh well. It felt good to support a local business even though drinks are half off at Starbucks every Friday in May. They weren't getting much other business while I was there even though the taco place was crowded with people. I felt a little bad. I've visited twice so far and both times, I was able to order right away at one of their two kiosks. I can imagine kids hanging out here on weekdays after the nearby high school is dismissed, but when I went in the early afternoon and on the weekend, it was a quick stop in and out. I've really only interacted with the one employee at the counter who makes the drinks, but he was welcoming and helpful, answering a couple questions I had with a smile. + HOUSE SPECIAL MILK TEA ($6.75): The menu describes this as having "special sweetener and rich tea taste", made with black tea, condensed milk and evaporated milk. The employee said most people will order it with boba or lychee jelly, but I opted for it without toppings and at 25% sweetness. For me, the 25% was just right, and I don't think I could tolerate a higher level. I believe this is their version of a Hong Kong Style milk tea and while the flavor was fine, the tea seemed diluted and didn't have that richness as advertised. + PINEAPPLE GREEN TEA ($5.55 special* + $1.00 cheese foam): This was quite refreshing and crisp, but even at just 25% sweetness, it was on the sugary side, considering it also had pineapple pulp on the bottom, so the natural sweetness of the fruit came though. Again, the tea flavor was weaker than I would have liked, but very pineapple-forward. I enjoyed their cheese foam which was velvety, balanced between milky and salty notes, and had a flavor similar to marshmallow. All toppings (boba, sago, pudding, etc.) are $1.00 which is on the steeper side compared to other tea shops. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program where you can earn "bubbles" for each drink purchased. Keep in mind that it doesn't automatically track when you enter your phone number... you actually need to take an extra step to opt in and sign up. *They have monthly specials where a couple drinks from their existing menu are offered at 15% off, like the Pineapple Green Tea I got at the discounted price. I am up for trying Tea Talk again, but with hopes that I'll be able to actually taste more of the tea next time. 3.25 stars.
