This is amazing baklava! Other baklavas that I have had in the past were too honey-soaked, so it wasn't really a dessert I sought out. A colleague at work, John, kindly brought in some boxes for us and it really surprised me. The pastry was crispy and flavorful. On my pick up in Glendale, I got to meet Avo and the amazing family behind this business and I soon learned that there was real heart behind this catering company. The phyllo is perfect, not overdone and not underdone, and retains the sweetness of the nuts well. The honey syrup was very well calculated.
