Now living in Baltimore, having gone through 3 incompetent opthamalogist I finally found the "new" Dr. Lewis who I have found to be very much like Dr. Lewis in AZ. What a relief to find another competent Opthamalogist with the same attention to detail and a caring concern for my eye health. So I called this office; they took me in on an emergency appointment. My wait time was minimal. Dr. Lewis figured it out immediately. By the time I left the visit, I already had relief; but more so just gratitude that he was able to help me to get on the road to recovery.

Side streets, which I used once are just dandy. This happened soon after cateract surgery. I also need a lot of eye drops, which I didnt before surgery. And also when I come in from outside to inside, but not as bad. I had to wait 1.5 hours to be seen. This was only once on a previous time. . The check up and after was another 1.5 hours. I rarely drive. only in dire necessity about 0 to 5 miles a month. My friend drives me. Parking is limited. Going back today. Hope is is a good experience, - always cordial staff. I am still attending to Dr Hodges office as my eye care center. The last optrimtist was very knowledgeable. ask for Calderton.

I was pretty much a walk -in (no phone call)....They sent me to their other office that had an appointment. (I had never been there before). I was seen by DR LEWIS....no detached retina.....BUT everyone at the office was wonderful!.....Loved DR LEWIS he has a straight forward manner and easy going personality. I first when for a complaint of dry eye and was treating with plugs day of my appointment. My mom was seen by Dr. Richard Lewis, MD for an eye infection. Normally they would dilate, but he explained why this was not a safe option to do on her eyes. She was incredibly impressed and thankful to him for his clinical excellence. Dr. Lewis noted that her eyes were at high risk of acute narrow angle glaucoma attacks that, aside from being incredibly painful, can result in loss of eyesight. He thoroughly explained why she was at risk and how cataract surgery will not only eliminate her risk, but will drastically improve her vision given her advanced stage of cataracts. He thoroughly explained risks and benefits of the surgery. My sister actually had had an acute narrow angle glaucoma attack (a traumatic experience) a few years ago, which was treated (elsewhere in another state) by lasering a hole through her iris (which was stressful) , and recently opted to preemptively get cataract surgery. My mom previously was too scared to consider cataract surgery, but walked out of there actually excited to get it. She is thankful to have her risk of acute angle glaucoma eliminated. She was referred to Dr. Henry, who did her first eye today. Dr. Henry and Oracle Eye's carefully orchestrated set up are superb. Could not be happier! She can seethe world in technicolor once again. Blues are blue again instead of green, white is bright and clean. The procedure didn't take long and she was comfortable. She's looking forward to getting eye #2 done.

My optometrist recommended Dr. Laurence Kaye and Tucson Eye Care, the doctor and office she sent her mom to. The soonest appointment was in three weeks, when my eyes were measured and tested and then I met with Dr. Kaye, the surgeon. He explained the procedure and my options. Medicare covers lens replacement, but for additional cost I could upgrade to eliminate my astigmatism and achieve 20/20 vision near and far, and not need glasses or contacts. Seemed like quite a plan. Well, today was my final post-operative checkup. I have better than 20/20 vision and couldn't be more pleased. All the technicians, office staff, Dr. Kaye, and Dr. Siekert were kind, informative, caring, and supportive. The actual procedures were done at the Camp Lowell Surgery Center, which has the same quality of compassionate care as the Tucson Eye Care. I could not have asked for a better experience or outcome and HIGHLY recommend.

Twice I have had eye issues and as busy as they are, they have given the best treatment possible and both times squeezed me between scheduled patients. This team certainly goes above and beyond in being thorough and caring in treating their patients. My regular scheduled visits have been the exact prescription needed for my eyes. I highly recommend this office if you are looking for an eye doctor. The whole office staff are courteous and friendly.

Visited for a Contact Lens exam and was through the initial stages (Air Puff Test and focus test)…read morevery quickly and was attended to by Dr. Tetrault, who was very attentive and answered all of my questions about contact lenses (I have never worn them before). During this time, I was told that the office would receive trial lenses and we would determine what would be the best fit and I would undergo a tutorial to learn how to best wear them. I was then sent to another member of their office staff. Despite my indicating that I had never worn contacts before, I was repeatedly asked how large of a supply that I wanted, which showed me that either instructions weren't being read or the person assisting me didn't care. I paid my copay and left, being told I'd be given a call to schedule the tutorial and pickup. Flash forward about a week later (August 28th), when I received a text message indicating that my contacts were ready for pickup. However I had not received a call to set up my tutorial, so I reached out to the office. An extremely nice person picked up the phone and happily took a message but advised me that only one person at the office could do the tutorial for contacts and that I would get a call back. As of today, I haven't received a call back from the office. Understandably, they may be busy but if I don't receive a call back by Friday, I'll probably just go the YouTube route and take my chances.

I have been a loyal patient for decades. I will never return. I went in for exam contacts and…read moreglasses this year and the contacts portion was fine but the glasses prescribed were unwearable due to incorrect prescription. I could not open my eyes with them on. They did not do a thorough exam to correct it and I was handed a slightly reduced prescription and they re-did the glasses. They still were too strong. I did my own research in my prescription history there to try and get something in between my prior glasses and the new prescription--a middle ground1- and was ultimately told they would not rewrite the prescription and that I should just keep wearing glasses that are too strong and my eyes would adjust. During all of this, I was told I had to meet with the branch manager with whom I'd set up appts and leave work to make and then she would be a no-show. Happened twice. As an aside, she should be working in Vegas as she is a master at shaking down patients offering a variety of unusable contact discounts and offers to make things seem like you are saving money. You are not...but well done, AO, you have the perfect employee to try and maximize revenue. Which is the whole game because it turns out they are now private equity firm. It is a sad situation there and you should avoid. Try to find a non-private equity owned practice--whether eyes, teeth, vets, whatever. It is really important!
