They also serve different types of Afternoon Tea. They also sell breads like Sour Dough ($12.00) and French Baguette ($4.50) for takeout. We ordered the following: 1. Nutella Croissant ($6.95). 2. Flat White (small $4.95). They charge the normal 13% HST, but there is an extra 3% resort fee! Both the croissant and coffee were good. The service was good. Some people make reservations for their favourite tables. They certainly make sure every is clean and chairs aligned. Four of us were sitting around a very small round table, so I put my camera case and bag on top of a neighbouring table (they were only 20% full). My wife told me they were staring at me. After I took it off and put them on the floor under my seat, they cleaned the table; must clean off any dirt I might have on my stuff! They have been open for 3 years. They allow photos using a phone but not a DSLR. They said they would charge $250 for me to take photos. One staff member recommended I speak to the owner. The owner was concerned that I take photos of his prices: this makes not sense since I can also do it with my phone! He finally allowed me to take photos of just the food, and he asked the staff to take it out for me onto a table! I was thankful! There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is free WiFi. The patisserie is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom. There is free parking in the resort. There are two high chairs for little children. Review 2024-203

Full Tea for 2 ($65) includes: Tea, savory mini sandwiches, assorted sweets, whipped cream, assorted fruits. ** They didn't have mini sandwiches, but we got to choose a hot pressed sandwich from the bakery display, and they sliced it for us ^^ I'd also recommend: * Lychee Green Tea (teapot) * Roast Beef Mushroom Melt * Brie, Arugula, Prosciutto Be sure to make a reservation via phone for afternoon tea experience. Good for small groups of 2-3 people :) Limited indoor seating, outdoor patio also available. I personally think the afternoon tea experience is still very new, still need to work out some kinks. Overall, food was delicious, and my family had a lovely time together :)

I scream, you scream! We all scream for ice cream!…read more On such a hot day, there are few things better than an ice cold treat. In Barrie, Kawartha Dairy is a classic parlour just a short drive from the beachfront. The shop has over 40 ice cream flavours to suit your heart's desire. Initially we had trouble picking & eventually staff forgot about us. Salty Caramel Truffle and Moose Tracks are popular flavours. We stacked both fresh scoops in a small size cup that's still huge! Each spoonful is fairly rich & creamy. The salt in the caramel balanced one another well (highly recommend), while Moose Tracks was a chocolate delight to satisfy the sweet tooth. Milkshakes can also be made from any scoop. We tried the Muskoka Mocha and Pistachio Almond in this form. The mocha ice cream was perfect for coffee lovers while almond slices added a crunch to the green pistachio shake although flavours were a bit artificial. Skip it or hit it? A visit to Kawartha Dairy always puts us in a good summer vibe after a beach day in Barrie!

I ordered the Chocolate Cupcake and the Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake (3.5/5). The cupcakes were light and fluffy. They were beautifully decorated and were not too sweet. I liked how they used dark chocolate as well for the chocolate cupcake. The strawberry shortcake had a strawberry jam filling which was a delightful surprise. I do wish that they were a bit more moist. The butter cream frosting was smooth and creamy with a silky texture. It wasn't overly sweet either which I enjoyed. Overall, a nice bakery that has a variety of selection from cakes to breads to deli.

"Goodness Me" is a health food store with extras available, including fresh baked goods, and a service counter and salad bar. They provide several fresh dishes on a salad bar, and a counter where they have about 10-12 hot dishes that you can choose from. The food is fast, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The pricing is good. My experience has been that it is best to go earlier in the day when the food is fresh. Like any other buffet type "restaurant" the food tends to get pretty thick if it has been sitting around for a while. There are lots of good options for people looking for gluten free options, but the potential for cross contamination is there if you are very sensitive.l to gluten. They also had 3 fresh soups available and regularly have chilli. The pricing is much better to offerings such as Nature's emporium. I found the price to be at least 25% less. They also have a pretty hefty discount at the end of the day on food if you are so inclined. I did it once, the price was fantastic, but the butter fish was like glue. ;) Overall, a good place to have a healthy and quick easy bite.

I recently attended their sausage-making class, and it was such a fun and informative experience. The class walked us through every step of the process, from choosing spices to stuffing the sausages, all under the guidance of their friendly, knowledgeable staff. It was hands-on, engaging, and I left with some amazing, custom-made sausages to enjoy at home. Aside from the classes, Hindquarter has an impressive selection of local products. Their meat counter is filled with cuts of meat you know are sourced with care, plus a great variety of unique items you won't find anywhere else. They also carry a selection of local cheeses, sauces, and other gourmet goods, making it a perfect stop for building a high-quality, locally-sourced meal. Hindquarter Meats goes beyond being a butcher shop--they're a true community spot for food lovers.
