I called ahead to ask if they could hold a sourdough loaf. I was told they had six left, it was "fairly slow," but no holds--first come, first serve. Fair enough. I made the trip over and stood in line, only to watch the customer in front of me get the last loaf. She mentioned she was also told the same thing over the phone. Again, I accepted that--she was ahead of me. Then the real issue: behind the counter was a bag clearly labeled "Alex" with loaves being held--despite their "no holds" policy. When questioned, the staff admitted they were reserving them for a "long-time customer." So the rules apparently only apply to some people. That's not just bad business--that's unethical.

My Mom was quite particular in wanting a lemon cake, not too heavy but just perfectly sweet. It was as ordered. I also loved the lemon taste, as lemon can so many times be too tart or too bland - it was just right! Highly recommended!

Their doughnuts are great, and baked in house right away. This means that if you're waiting for something at opening, you may have to wait a few extra minutes. For examples, their dipped donut holes were the last thing to come out when I was there. And, their dipped doughnut holes are the way to go, if you want a box with a variety of flavours. You could eat one of their four dollar doughnuts, and if you do - have the strawberry cream - but each of them is the size of two or three doughnuts from any other place. This isn't a four dollar doughnut that leaves you feeling empty, it's a four dollar doughnut that leaves you wondering how you're possibly going to finish eating it! But, the doughnut holes, the dipped ones, they're amazing. They're the right size to eat a variety, and not feel overfull. The thing that terrifies me is they have so many savory options, too. How am I supposed to eat everything I want? I'll need to make a number of return trips. And, they're dairy free. Which is great for allergies, and lifestyle choices. Love it. Love it. Love it!

Flat White (small $4.95). They charge the normal 13% HST, but there is an extra 3% resort fee! Both the croissant and coffee were good. The service was good. Some people make reservations for their favourite tables. They certainly make sure every is clean and chairs aligned. Four of us were sitting around a very small round table, so I put my camera case and bag on top of a neighbouring table (they were only 20% full). My wife told me they were staring at me. After I took it off and put them on the floor under my seat, they cleaned the table; must clean off any dirt I might have on my stuff! They have been open for 3 years. They allow photos using a phone but not a DSLR. They said they would charge $250 for me to take photos. One staff member recommended I speak to the owner. The owner was concerned that I take photos of his prices: this makes not sense since I can also do it with my phone! He finally allowed me to take photos of just the food, and he asked the staff to take it out for me onto a table! I was thankful! There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is free WiFi. The patisserie is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom. There is free parking in the resort. There are two high chairs for little children. Review 2024-203
