Today in particular was amazing because one of their staff went above and beyond. Bekah is a total rockstar. I ordered a skinny peppermint mocha but they were out of one particular part of that drink so she came up with another formula for me, even running the number of peppermint pumps by me, to get the same flavors. As if that wasn't enough, she also checked how to spell my name! Seems like a small thing but this is genuinely the first time I've had my name spelled correctly on a coffee cup. It was super exciting for me! Wishing I lived closer to this Starbucks so I could be a regular. My child says hi to everyone usualy and they are too busy to say a thing. I get it I use to work drive thru and I know you need to be quick but sometimes you are the first person someone see before they go to work. So not being happy or smiling can have a ripple effect. The crepe was undercooked and thick. The undercook was attributed with the thick layer of batter placed down. The cheese cake filling was a cheese cake and sour creme with vanilla and lots of sugar. The plate itself was cheese cake, but in a crepe, I think the cream cheese could have been batched fresh with yogurt for a lighter filling than this premade stuff or fold in some whip cream to lighten it up. And even a fold of strawberry syrup would have made the crepe taste like a strawberry cheese cake crepe. It had fresh strawberries but will honestly give a sour taste. The dessert was glazed with caramel. The washrooms are located in the back but wasn't stocked with hand soap. It's a nice date location but crepes could use enhancement. I dont think I would return for the crepe, maybe will try a coffee drink next time.

I've supported Homestead Bakery for a long time, but…read moretoday's experience was deeply disappointing and showed a complete disregard for fairness and customer integrity. I called ahead to ask if they could hold a sourdough loaf. I was told they had six left, it was "fairly slow," but no holds--first come, first serve. Fair enough. I made the trip over and stood in line, only to watch the customer in front of me get the last loaf. She mentioned she was also told the same thing over the phone. Again, I accepted that--she was ahead of me. Then the real issue: behind the counter was a bag clearly labeled "Alex" with loaves being held--despite their "no holds" policy. When questioned, the staff admitted they were reserving them for a "long-time customer." So the rules apparently only apply to some people. That's not just bad business--that's unethical.
