First pulling up, you can't really tell that it's a bakery other than the sign since it doesn't look like a traditional one but it's nice and clean on the exterior with plenty of parking. Once you walk in, there's the hustle and bustle of the place, the inside was spacious and you're greeted with all the bake goods. We took all of our goods home but there are plenty of seats to eat and hang out. The service was quick and friendly. The only thing I was unimpressed with was the restrooms. It was run down and small. The entire place was beautiful but the restrooms could get a better upgrade. As for the food, everything was tasty and fresh, my only critique is the placement and lack of filling in the bun. My family and I stopped here after the Lunar New Year Dragon Parade and it was slammed (as to be expected). We ate lunch at a different place and chose to come by just for the bakery items. I was a little confused coming in because there was a long line to a cashier as well as a self service kiosk that no one was using. I'm not sure when to use which method of check out and it was too busy to ask anyone on this visit. The bakery is self-service (grab a tray and load it up using tongs) for non refrigerated items. Refrigerated items, like cheesecake, crepe cakes, and layer cakes are next to the cashier. We chose a peach cream bun and lemon filled bun from self service and we added on a Japanese cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake and strawberry mousse. The star was probably the blueberry cheesecake, though everything was delicious. I love cream buns and would have liked the peach cream bun more if there was more peach flavor in the actual cream. The peaches used were either from a can or a jar and I don't care for that texture or flavor for peaches. The lemon bun just tasted like a lemon donut, but it was well loved by the lemon fans in the house. I would like to return soon to try their kitchen items on a day that isn't as busy. read more

First time here and i can say it definitely beat expectations. Service was nice, guy at the counter helped us at the self order kiosk so we could see the images of everything we were ordering. Next to the kiosk they also have the menu with explanations of what's inside everything which also helped. Once we got the food, we were blown away by the taste, we expected it to be good, but our expectations were definitely beat. Fried dumplings had a nice crisp outside and did not need the sauce, but the sauce complimented the dumpling very well. The Takoyaki was the best i've had in quite a while, not something i get often, but definitely better than the last few places i tried. The drinks were extremely tasty as well and of course you get to keep the cup so it's like a souvenir. Had to order 2 more drinks on the way out! The desserts we haven't got to yet, but we definitely ordered like 5 different desserts and some buns on the way out, can't imagine them being anything else other than really good. Also, don't be fooled by the outside, the inside will blow you away. It's like a nice relaxing cafe on the inside, nice lighting with natural lighting as well, wall art, comfortable chairs, great music, definitely could sit here for a while, order some food and get some work done or just relax. Went here the other day to see what all the hype was about. When we walked in it was so insanely packed you could barely walk anywhere. We went to go check out the baked items and the set up was super aesthetic but didn't seem to have many vegetarian options. Also everything had been sitting out so it would have been nice to be able to heat the items up like other bakeries but you couldn't. Ended up getting a cream cheese bread that was just okay. My partner got a lemon bread item that had a weird non lemon paste inside that none of the workers in the bakery area knew what it was?? I'm assuming it was red bean paste though. Weird to advertise the item as lemon and you couldn't even taste any lemon in it haha. We were super excited to try the dumplings though. Unfortunately neither of us liked them. We had pan fried, soup dumplings, and the dumplings in soup. We had to go up to the counter along with other tables because they forgot items we ordered. The soup dumplings were literally just bland meat, broth, and the dumpling wrapper. My partner has a very low standard for food being good and isn't crazy about spices but even he said it was the blandest thing he's ever ate. I tried the vegetable dumplings in soup and it was so flavorless I only took a few bites and had to stop. The pan fried dumplings my partner stated were a little better but still very bland. We even tried using soy sauce, chili oil, duck sauce, etc. to help it taste better but no luck. So disappointing for us, but a lot of people seemed to really like it around us! I would just suggest going on a non-weekend day and only go if you're a meat eater that likes pretty bland food. Prices were also pretty expensive for what you're getting. read more

Started my first day only to be ignored at first. Could not be trained proficiently as no one spoke English and only Spanish. Went here with the husband as he loves authentic food and wanted to see if this place fit the bill. It should be noted that we went at 2pm on a Saturday and it was completely packed. The staff seemed to be having trouble keeping up, as tables were empty but not cleaned, tongs were not refreshed, and about 30% of the items in the main area were gone. I would've liked to try those honey pork buns. I ended up with a hot dog bun and egg sandwich. The egg sandwich was pretty good, I would get it again. The hot dog bun was slightly disappointing as the hot dog was cold and the case had no heat lamp to keep it warm. I blame the crowds on the fact that this place had been heavily advised on instagram, so I may consider holding off my next visits till the popularity stabilizes. read more

Interesting place. Was really packed so the food must be good there. I assumed I had a wonton soup which was really good. I've not eaten that in years, my daughter had some sort of a little fried chicken bowl which was decent also. She had a cheesecake they have a pretty fancy looking bakery in there the cheesecake it was pretty good. The main issue that I had with the place was everything is plastic and our lunch for the couple items that we had probably created 14 pieces of plastic that are going to end up in the landfill, because most things aren't recycled these days. There are some chains that have biodegradable containers, and while it does cost a little bit more, it's just kind of the right thing to do. I would go back here, but I would come back here more often if they had more environmentally, thoughtful. packaging, and spoons and straws and such, I was just amazed how much plastic we generated from our little trip there. We sat outside and they brought her food to us, which was kind of nice and my bowl of soup was really big. I was surprised the portion sizes are pretty decent here. read more
