I really enjoyed my visit to this bakery. I tried a couple of different items and I liked everything I tasted. Honestly I tried like 5-6 different pastries in the self serve area. I also tried their Thai tea and the 1908 signature Fruit tea. Everything was spot on. Nice place to sit and work, or maybe just stop by for the ambience. Id also like to talk about the service. The gentleman at the cash-wrap, are very nice and helpful. They answered all my questions, and had good customer service skills (which is rare these days). read more

I've come back multiple times since my original review and I get the Ham and Corn bread every single time and I'm OBSESSED! The saltiness from the ham and cheese and the sweetness from the corn and the actual bread dough is the perfect combo! I've also tried their shanghai dumplings (soup dumplings) and they were really good EXCEPT it had really big chunks of ginger which was too overpowering for me. I ended up picking out the ginger chunks but overall really great! I also got their sugar twisted donut and I think it might have been fried in oil that was used for some other food item maybe? because it had a weird aftertaste. I didn't finish it cuz it was meh. Unfortunately, I haven't been liking their drink options. I ordered the Matcha Latte and although it has the word Latte in it, traditionally it's not supposed to have coffee/espresso in it. It's usually just matcha powder and milk but this place made it with espresso and it was eww. I went back to the counter to ask them about it because it was not drinkable in my opinion. Juju, the cashier, was SUPER NICE and offered to make me a matcha milk tea instead but I didn't like that either haha...I know I sound picky but why would you make a matcha milk tea with black tea and not green tea? that makes no sense to me so the mix between the matcha powder and the black tea was not complimentary in my opinion. Now take this with a grain of salt there might be folks out there that love this combination but I personally did not and they shouldn't call it Matcha Latte because what they make is a regular Latte with added matcha powder which are two different drinks. Aside from not liking the drinks here, I love everything else. It's a great place to work, meet with friends to chat and it's not as cold as some cafes that BLAST the AC. At this point, I'm a regular here! I love coming to this bakery and picking out a ton of sweet and savory breads for the family. The service is quick and everyone that works here is kind. Their dim sum is delicious, so are the fruit teas. So far I haven't had anything here that I did not like. Definitely a spot to check out if you're in the area. 10/10 read more

Great ambience, loved the selection of pastries, a little bit on the pricier side. If you are coming here to have a meal, be prepared to be spending $15-20 a head. It's not your traditional dim sum place, but more of a "new wave" dim sum spot. Nevertheless, I did like it!!!! Worth a try. Very good shrimp dumplings, shrimp were huge very flavorful juicy and plump. Also had the dumplings in soup very good broth. Very basic but good, comes with bok choy. Staff was not friendly in the front end. The bakery portion of the store was nice, it reminded me of bakery shops in France and Japan. They had 1 self serve kiosk to order drinks tucked next to a fridge if the line is long. The inside looks very nice clean and fresh. With a lot of seating some also have plugs if you need to do some work. Small outside seating also available. Outside, the tree by the side exit needs to be trimmed. There is a huge shipping container blocking the one way parking area so when I was there, there was chaos. read more

The atmosphere is very cute with a beautiful mural and light, warm aesthetic. Very busy on weekends. Buns (both sweet and savory) and desserts were delicious and not too sweet. All buns were fluffy and airy with just the right amount of sweetness. Service is fast. My favorite was the pork filled bun! This place is more than a bakery! The vibe inside is super nice and the staff was super friendly and informative The egg tarts are a must have and were my favorite thing by far !! We also got the wonton soup, which was not terrible but just kinda bland. It also came out alarmingly fast which makes me think they might just microwave it or something. The drinks were a bit on the sweeter side and I couldn't drink the whole thing sadly. The red bean cookie was so dry and basically inedible which was a bit of a disappointment as well. Another Orlando hit, tried a few pastries both savory and sweet. I loved the way you can see all the pastry's out in a display and you can select what you want then you bring it to the cashier. You do have to go early as it sells fast. One of the favorite was the pineapple custard tart so good. Took my mom her and she enjoyed it as well. First time here, and the place was very busy. We had a variety of appetizers such as potstickers, soup dumplings, sushimi in different flavors. We also had the popcorn chicken and some wonton soup. The food was good, but I've had better. We all sampled a variety of items. The popcorn chicken was the least favorite as it was so overdone. It was as hard as a rock, and very dry. It may have been because they were busy, but you could see once it was set on the table that it was way overcooked. We also try to variety of desserts. The favorite was the Japanese cheesecake and the almond biscotti. out of five of us only two or three chose these. The rest of us did not like the other desserts so it's just a matter of taste. I know a lot of people really like this place and that's great. I'm not opposed to going back and trying some other things but it is not my favorite as of now I wish it great success. read more

When you walk in, you see a sign to queue and pay, so I was confused at first. Do you pay then get the food at the bakery or vice versa? I observed to see what everyone was doing, which was a mix. If you want baked goods that are on the side, get them first and then pay. If you are ordering strictly from the menu, then queue and pay. After I paid, I realized I missed a bunch of cakes and sweets because they were to the right of the register that I paid at. I got the sliced sausage bun with green onions and cheese, red bean bun, gold cake and a taro milk tea with boba. Many baked goods were already gone by late afternoon so go early if you're looking for these. The sausage bun's dough had a very slight sweetness to it so combined with the savory sausage, cheese and onions made for a delicious treat. I also liked the red bean bun because it wasn't sweet. The gold cake tasted like pound cake with light frosting, but it wasn't anything spectacular. The positives about the taro milk tea are that they use real taro! This is rare because most places use the powder. I also liked that I could choose the sugar (0%) and ice content (50%), but I think they should have the option for 25% and 75% because they only had 0, 50 and 100%. One of the reasons for docking a star was that the boba was not fresh. They were too hard in the middle so not impressed with that add on, especially because you pay extra for it. read more

First pulling up, you can't really tell that it's a bakery other than the sign since it doesn't look like a traditional one but it's nice and clean on the exterior with plenty of parking. Once you walk in, there's the hustle and bustle of the place, the inside was spacious and you're greeted with all the bake goods. We took all of our goods home but there are plenty of seats to eat and hang out. The service was quick and friendly. The only thing I was unimpressed with was the restrooms. It was run down and small. The entire place was beautiful but the restrooms could get a better upgrade. As for the food, everything was tasty and fresh, my only critique is the placement and lack of filling in the bun. My family and I stopped here after the Lunar New Year Dragon Parade and it was slammed (as to be expected). We ate lunch at a different place and chose to come by just for the bakery items. I was a little confused coming in because there was a long line to a cashier as well as a self service kiosk that no one was using. I'm not sure when to use which method of check out and it was too busy to ask anyone on this visit. The bakery is self-service (grab a tray and load it up using tongs) for non refrigerated items. Refrigerated items, like cheesecake, crepe cakes, and layer cakes are next to the cashier. We chose a peach cream bun and lemon filled bun from self service and we added on a Japanese cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake and strawberry mousse. The star was probably the blueberry cheesecake, though everything was delicious. I love cream buns and would have liked the peach cream bun more if there was more peach flavor in the actual cream. The peaches used were either from a can or a jar and I don't care for that texture or flavor for peaches. The lemon bun just tasted like a lemon donut, but it was well loved by the lemon fans in the house. I would like to return soon to try their kitchen items on a day that isn't as busy. read more

First time here and i can say it definitely beat expectations. Service was nice, guy at the counter helped us at the self order kiosk so we could see the images of everything we were ordering. Next to the kiosk they also have the menu with explanations of what's inside everything which also helped. Once we got the food, we were blown away by the taste, we expected it to be good, but our expectations were definitely beat. Fried dumplings had a nice crisp outside and did not need the sauce, but the sauce complimented the dumpling very well. The Takoyaki was the best i've had in quite a while, not something i get often, but definitely better than the last few places i tried. The drinks were extremely tasty as well and of course you get to keep the cup so it's like a souvenir. Had to order 2 more drinks on the way out! The desserts we haven't got to yet, but we definitely ordered like 5 different desserts and some buns on the way out, can't imagine them being anything else other than really good. Also, don't be fooled by the outside, the inside will blow you away. It's like a nice relaxing cafe on the inside, nice lighting with natural lighting as well, wall art, comfortable chairs, great music, definitely could sit here for a while, order some food and get some work done or just relax.
