This asian bakery was like nothing I've ever seen or heard of before! My friend that lives in Orlando suggested it for a group breakfast on our last day in town. They had a nice and big parking lot that could accommodate many customers. The bakery is a little bit chaotic with music playing, people talking, and order numbers and names being called over a microphone the whole time. I liked browsing through all the amazing buns and sweet and savory pastries. You pick the treats that you want with tongs and put them on your tray and then pay at the end. I tried the coconut butterfly pastry and it had toasted almond in it too! It was delicious and huge! I also ordered summer vegetable dumplings and fried 1908 tofu since I don't eat meat. I was glad to see a more filling veggie option since all of the savory breads had meat in them. The dumplings were gooey and had crunchy veggies inside! I really liked the textures and flavors in these. You can also choose to get them fried. The fried tofu was super unique! It was lightly dusted and not what I imagined when I read "fried tofu". The inside was very soft (maybe silken tofu) and they were salty and crunchy. This appetizer is enough for 3-4 people to share. I could only eat some of it because it was so salty. I would go back to pick up a few desserts to go, but I probably wouldn't go back for an actual meal since it felt like a hodge podge of random things. read more

I stopped by and grabbed a blueberry tart, an egg tart, and a chicken sausage croissant. Even though the croissant looks like a beef hot dog, it is actually made with chicken sausage and it was really good. The egg tart was perfect, with a creamy filling and a flaky crust that was just right. The blueberry dessert was sweet, creamy, and had the perfect texture. The atmosphere here is really nice too, perfect for studying or getting some work done. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. Super overpriced more than double the price of any other Asian bakeries for the same thing. Nothing special or unique. Since we were there we decided to buy some items - three pastries and a cake. When we asked for a simple small box they were boxing the cakes in, she said no. I said but we just bought cakes and the rude cashier said no. What the heck? Gave another try today at 8:45am knowing they opened at 8am, they had a lot of options but I'd say about half of the baskets were empty. I've come back multiple times since my original review and I get the Ham and Corn bread every single time and I'm OBSESSED! The saltiness from the ham and cheese and the sweetness from the corn and the actual bread dough is the perfect combo! I've also tried their shanghai dumplings (soup dumplings) and they were really good EXCEPT it had really big chunks of ginger which was too overpowering for me. I ended up picking out the ginger chunks but overall really great! I also got their sugar twisted donut and I think it might have been fried in oil that was used for some other food item maybe? because it had a weird aftertaste. I didn't finish it cuz it was meh. Unfortunately, I haven't been liking their drink options. I ordered the Matcha Latte and although it has the word Latte in it, traditionally it's not supposed to have coffee/espresso in it. It's usually just matcha powder and milk but this place made it with espresso and it was eww. I went back to the counter to ask them about it because it was not drinkable in my opinion. Juju, the cashier, was SUPER NICE and offered to make me a matcha milk tea instead but I didn't like that either haha...I know I sound picky but why would you make a matcha milk tea with black tea and not green tea? that makes no sense to me so the mix between the matcha powder and the black tea was not complimentary in my opinion. Now take this with a grain of salt there might be folks out there that love this combination but I personally did not and they shouldn't call it Matcha Latte because what they make is a regular Latte with added matcha powder which are two different drinks. Aside from not liking the drinks here, I love everything else. It's a great place to work, meet with friends to chat and it's not as cold as some cafes that BLAST the AC. Not sure what I can say about this amazing bakery that others haven't said. The pastries are fluffy, delicious and lighter on the sugar than some of the more European-style baked goods I'm used to. I love the egg sandwich and the pineapple bun. My son likes the butter bread for his school lunch sandwiches, which they sell pre-sliced by the loaf. They also have taro and matcha loaves. They have a peaches and cream bun that I have been eye-balling... I also love their boba tea- I've had the creme-brulee with pink boba and the matcha with drinkable mochi, both excellent. My husband likes their fruit teas. I have ordered their fried vegetable dumplings and their dumpling soup- both ways taste delicious. Great experience. The staff is friendly and efficient, they're very helpful. The food was delicious. The har gow was the best! Literally the best I've ever had. The chicken feet were better than average but lacking something lol the sticky rice was excellent. I usually prefer it with egg yolk, peanut, pork belly with sausage but these where surprisingly good. UPDATE: Went back for our 7th trip and was impressed with the service that I had to update the review to five stars. Got the boba this time which I'll add to the review and it came in this aesthetically pleasing bottle. Love this place Love this place and their delightful dumplings and bakery pastries. Both sweet and savory options are available. We have been back two days in a row, and have tried their dumplings as well. My partner loves their sumai, ha gao, and chives dumplings. We would love to try their dumpling soup on a colder day. My favorite personally is the lava bun. JUST TRY IT AND TRUST. The only con I would say about the location is that there is long wait times. The vegetable dumplings were odd tasting, the soup had no flavor. The pork dumplings were tolerable. Now the tofu was just plain awful. There was no flavor, It was small cubes barely fried. Now that I've had breakfast & lunch here, I can say this place is awesome! Everything is very organized, service and food delivery are both quick even when it's busy. The few buns from the bakery I've tried have been really good, although sometimes too sweet for my taste. For lunch, we had the fried tofu and veggie dumplings which were both fantastic. The tofu is a little boring looking but don't be fooled - it's delicious. I'm also very pleased with how busy this place is all the time. This is definitely the place to go in a group and order several things to try. We did exactly that! Awesome variety of drinks, sweets, and savory options. You also simply must show up early to get the most out of your visit. All the pork buns were out and a few other items were out for the day. BUT that doesn't mean there isn't anything else to try. There's plenty ! My favorite thing was the savory onion pastry with pork floss. I couldn't really read the name lol but that thing was awesome and the whole table agreed I chose best ! Everything had great flavor. Loved the broth for the soups. The dumplings were kinda soft and fell apart which was a bummer. The takoyaki had a great flavor and were very nicely dressed but were a little too battery. The walnut chicken was so insanely crispy and had an amazing flavor. They have chili oil and vinegar with the napkins and utensils. There's also self serve water in multiple locations. In addition to that the to go boxes are available to grab. There's so much seating but it fills up and stays filled! Make a game plan with your group for extra efficiency. We enjoyed a table outside. Parking can get kinda hectic it's a small place. It's a cute, clean place with the aesthetic and food similar to those of Asian bakeries I've been to abroad. They have some delicious staple foods to try like the fluffy sponge cake/swiss rolls and the red bean buns. I also ordered their steamed dumplings which were well worth the modest price. Visited this somewhat new Asian staple on 50. It is a welcome addition to the area. They have drinks, fresh baked goods, and other food items. Their drinks were delicious (although I selected 100% sugar and it tasted like no sugar, which still tasted great but could throw off others). I liked the variety of options from hot to cold and even add ins. The bakery items were affordable and delicious. I loved the pork turnover- something different than I am used to. I went at 6pm so it was slim pickings on bakery items. I will try to visit earlier in the future. I also noticed that on the menu, they had plenty of fried food (like popcorn chicken) and dim sum (like dumplings). These felt priced higher than I would've liked so I passed on these options. Overall, the vibe of the venue is very pleasing and open. Plenty of seating separated from the purchasing area. Additionally, it was clear they were using quality packing materials and condiments in the self service area. This could be contributing to the price but it's a nice touch. Large interior with plenty of seating and large windows that make it very airy. There was co for table couch seating with low tables and free wifi. It's self seat and clean up but they do bring you food based on a number system. Beverages were excellent: not too sweet, very hydrating, and large size so refills not need (or offered). The honey glazed chicken was a hefty size and had broccoli and walnuts. Very tasty. Some of the pieces were really just fried coating and not really filled with chicken but those were very few. They were a little salty but all in all a good meal. The soup was hearty, not salty, and very filling. The pasties were by far the best part of the meal. All were light and airy and did not weigh you down! The fillings were tasty and the lemon one was the best. The Bavarian was decent and the twists and donuts were a nice complement to the meal.
