My sister told me about this place and it's PHENOMENAL!! The donuts are airy and so so fluffy. The fillings were homemade and so perfectly delicious. The ladies working got you in and out, but were very kind and appreciative. Very genuinely think it's worth a drive no matter where you live in the Triangle!! They are going to be moving locations, (I believe to Roxboro Rd,) but still absolutely worth the drive even now!

We were on our way to Zinc winery and found that this donut shop was on the way. It is an unassuming, unexpected little shop attached to a gas station, which further adds to the uniqueness of the shop. In addition, the donuts are light, fluffy, and fresh, and the jelly-filled donuts are fruity- the most delicious donuts I have had in a longtime! The cashier, who I also assumes makes the donuts, told us her favorite was the cinnamon roll donut, which was the largest donut I have ever seen! This place is also well priced! If I lived close to this donut store, I'm pretty sure I would visit weekly.

Baker's Dozen has the best donuts in the Triangle area, hands down. We came across this little shop quite by accident - we stopped to get gas and decided to explore this hole-in-the-wall donut shop. We are so glad we did! We usually get half a dozen donuts, which costs $5.50. They have traditional yeasted donuts as well as cake donuts. Some of our favorites include the blueberry cake donut, the cinnamon sugar cake donut, the old fashioned and the buttermilk donut. Really - you can't go wrong. Every single donut we have tried has been delicious. We've heard from regulars that the bear claws are really good, though we have yet to try them because they are often sold out by the time we get the shop on weekends. If you want to have the best selection, I recommend that you visit as early as possible in the morning. They open at 5:30 AM. We highly recommend Baker's Dozen and can't wait to visit again soon.

I first encountered Baker's Dozen at the Raleigh Location on Capital Boulevard when I was in a pinch and needed to pick up doughnuts for work for my team. It reminded me of Davis Doughnuts in Durham that was a staple in the community when I was a kid but it's been closed for some time. The doughnuts are like pillows of yumminess. They're soft, fluffy and heavenly. These are by far the best doughnuts in town and highly recommend them to any doughnut lover.

Quite the lineup.

Only one word comes to mind and that is "supreme", When I think of the dough, glaze, and fluffy cream. The Bakers Dozen doughnuts are the product of dreams, I had so much drool, my clothes needed a steam. I couldn't believe a place this good was attached to a gas station. It's the definition of a true hidden gem. Bakers Dozen had the best glazed old fashioned doughnuts that I have ever tasted. They were moist with a great texture, and bursting with sweet, satisfying flavor. The raised doughnuts were ok too, and the coffee had a nice, robust aroma and taste. This is going to be a "must stop" for me every time I visit Durham.

These donuts are always fresh and delicious every time I get them. I also think that they are the most affordable donuts around. The blueberry cake donut is out of this world good, and I'm also a huge fan of the regular glazed donut. Not pictures, but there Apple fritters are also fantastic!

Not your traditional noodles, bao or gyoza but more like home made versions of Asian fare. I opted for the half salads because I like variety, dishes were served whenever they ready, which worked for us. The pepper salad was sweet yet flavorful, the squash salad even moreso, with a jicama-like texture topped with chili's, seeds and ground black sesame, The bao filling was saucy and sweet, the gyoza mixed with shrimp and chicken savory. Even though we were full we couldn't ignore desert, so split the passion fruit tres leches cake, which was fantastic. You can feel an intention here, as food is made with thought and creativity. I'm already planning my return. UPDATE: Returned the next day and tried the blue fish oni giri, katsu sando and spring rolls. All fantastic!

I made a reservation for 6:30pm on a Friday. I recognize sometimes exact reservation times cannot be honored but I was a little concerned at how slow the service was and how crowded the already small space was. They could not really give us an idea of when we would be sat and so we had to just kind of shuffle around to keep trying to be out of the way. It took about 15 minutes before a table finally opened up and we were able to sit. From there, the service continued to be slow. I know the staff - both servers and kitchen - were working hard. I don't blame them as much as it feels like they are understaffed and stretched thin. Overall, it took a while for us to get our food, and we were all hangry by the time we had food. The servers were running around so it took a while whenever we needed something or ran out of water. The food itself surprised me. I know the menu was small and curated but I was actually surprised how little variety there was. And I don't know if I would consider this a vegan/vegetarian friendly place anymore. While they do have dishes and options, it is minimal. I got the pork and mushroom dumplings, pork bao bun, onigiri, and the housemade belt noodles. Both the dumplings and belt noodles were coated in a chili oil that made them almost inedible. And I like spicy! But this was too much. My favorite was the onigiri. Overall, between wait, service, quality, and price, I do not think I will be back.
