Donuts, who doesn't get a craving for those at any of the night. However, many of us know that most donut places are closed on weekends. So it's after midnight on Saturday and we're looking for donuts. This place is the only one I know of that's opened on the weekends. Open on 24 hours on weekends! We went with a mixed set of donuts. Overall the majority of them were fresh. We did find a few old/dry ones however. I think this happens no matter which place you go to. I lived in an apartment across the street from donut city, and every night the smell of fresh-baked donuts would waft through our windows and make the whole house smell like chocolatey, cakey, fried deliciousness. Place USED to be my go to spot for years for donuts. I will agree with a previous reviewer. The quality has went down hill. I didn't order biscuits , yet this dry azz excuse for a dozen donuts is my last time dumping a box of donuts in the trash. If I got pulled over the police would wonder why I was carrying 12 rocks in a pink box before anything else! It sucks living close to this place. Especially if you want to lose weight. I have tried a lot of donuts, people crave the blueberry donuts of m&m's in Anaheim, so bad they stand in hour long lines. I have had them and think they are overrated. To me its just donuts, what I look for in a donut is freshness and crispiness. Other than that to me all donuts are nearly the same. The only thing I hate about this place is it's located across the street from my bus stop (well I guess this is it, diet.. til we meet again T_T) This place makes the best glazed raised donuts.. hands down. And they're super fresh too! This coming from someone who usually don't even like sweet stuff. Their plain donut is good too.. I usually get it when I don't feel like eating the sweet donuts. It tastes a bit savory. This place (like most other donuts eateries) only accept cash. Though they do have ATM machine.. but I'm pretty sure it charges fees so as much as you can just use cash. This place is awesome because they are open 24/7. So if you are craving donuts in the middle of the night, you have Donut City! They have a nice selection of donuts, muffins, croissants, etc. The donuts are yummy and fresh. I also had a mocha they have there which was perfect! They take cash only so keep that in mind. I'm putting a one star because I am over going to this place, I just went by there and it's 2:30 in the afternoon and they're already out of all the good donuts and the lady said they won't be making anymore for the rest of the night and they are a 24 hour donut shop... I don't understand why they don't make more of the good donuts how hard is that? There is a Yum yum donuts right across the street from my house, but this place has a few other things going for it that make it worth the trip...#1-The pink box says it all...and these guys make an amazing apple fritter!!! #2-They were open on Christmas morning. #3-The owner was super nice. If I could I would give this place 0 stars!!! I am a very respectful person and I always have a smile on my face..even if it is early in the morning..I believe in treating others the way you want to be treated. That being said, a couple of days ago I went into this donut shop to pick up a dozen donuts for my family...(I have a gluten allergy which means I, myself, would not have been consuming any of these donuts) I am not a slender gal but I do have a thyroid issue which adds a few pounds around my mid section. As I was picking out the dozen a man behind the counter (I'm assuming he is the owner) said "Oh wow are all of these donuts for you! So many donuts for just one person!" As he was finishing what he said the lady preparing the donuts looked at him in disbelief and told him to hush it. I respect her very much for that...but the deed had already been done!!! I DID NOT DISRESPECT HIM IN ANY WAY...so who does he think he is...when I'm the one giving him service!!! I could have been a witch and just walked out of there but the lady was very nice..so I didn't. I do not appreciate such horrible customer service...there for..will never be returning back to this donut shop and unless you feel like being belittled I suggest you turn your car around because apprently being belittled is on the house!!! read more

This place is awesome! We went into a Yum Yum donuts and they were so rude. I was so upset that we decided to go into this place. We had heard a couple of people say they were really good. The people are super friendly. The donuts are always fresh. There are usually homeless people around, but they don't usually bother you. Our family favorites are the chocolate chip bar and the cinnamon rolls. They are huge! Usually I only eat half and save the other half for another time. We've also had the chocolate bars, maple bars and some of the cake donuts. They are all good too. They only accept cash, but they do have an ATM. read more

Today, my sister and I entered the Donut Shop and the so call Owner facial expression made it obvious we would endure poor customer service. I asked for a particular donut her facial confirmed she had a poor attitude. She became loud asking why you picking certain donuts? If I were getting a pedicure there wouldn't have been a problem because she would expect a tip. My sister calmly asked the so call owner why is there a problem? The temper tantrum escalating until sis asked for some one else. She slammed the tongs on the tray and got the other lady whom we thought was the owner. This lady is slender in built, very respectful and has always went well and beyond the call of duty. Maintaining an Awesome repor with all her customers. She never complains only smiling so graciously. The bitter so call owner went to help a gentleman and she was attempting to double charge him for a coffee and the man stated, " I already paid for that!" Lol's All I have to say Donut City has the Worst Owner. Only about profits and not customer service except the slender lady and gentleman that are normally their. If you go to the Donut City which I'm sure you would because the Donuts melt in your mouth stay away from the so call owner that doesn't smile or said hello merely, working for the profits from the public without excellent customer relations! It's sad the other two I mention must work under these type of conditions from a rude, non people personality individual looking like she needed a "Starbucks " to have a better day with their delicious coffee and excellent serVice! Next time I'll make sure I stop by Starbucks and buy her a coffee and hopefully, this would make her day a little bit brighter. If there a rating for 0 stars that is what this place would receive. After reading the reviews for Donut City I decided to try it. the donuts are the same as every other donut shop in the area. There is absolutly nothing special about this place. You can tell the buy the same package donut mix as all the other donut shops. If you are looking for a true handmade fresh donut this is not the place for you. If you want crappy standard donuts, by all means go to Donut City. First and last time at Donut City and first thing my husband points out as we decided what we were going to get he points out a fly flying around inside the display case landing on all the muffins and apple turn overs and we tell the older lady employee and she just shakes the trays so it can get out as soon but the fly still remained in there landing on everything.. as we turn to leave grossed out.. from our car we see her just stop closes the display case and goes to the back! She didn't even try to get rid of the fly! She left all the food where the fly had landed and walked all over still in there like it was totally normal..never going back there again! read more

I asked if I could get something else but the were reluctant on giving me something else. I've been here about 10 times and they have some decent donuts. But I judge a donut place by their apple fritters and this place has awful apple fritters. Sure, they are big, but they are fried until they are crispy. I've had three and today was the worst one yet. I had to throw half the thing away.
