Please go here as the food, service, and atmosphere is great…read more FYI there is a lot of parking behind the building but you can also do street parking. I usually recommend a reservation for Pink Ivy as during dinner rush it always seems full. I have had so many great meals here. I am usually a meat and potatoes kind of person but the salmon here is great. Also as much as I dislike vegetables they actually have ones I order. As much as the food is always been great. The staff has also been wonderful. They are knowledgeable and friendly and really make a difference. Atmosphere can change from time to time. As busy restaurants nights are always going to have that buzz but in a good way. As the busy night calms into late evening there is this different nice smooth feeling that comes over the place. Lastly this place introduced me to a new drink. The Carajillo. In my opinion it's a better version of the Espresso Martini as it's a bit sweeter.

This ended up being a really solid stop and definitely a step above your typical casual spot…read more The decor is super cute with a pink and green aesthetic--kind of mint and bubblegum tones--and it gives the whole place a fun but still cozy feel. I somehow showed up wearing green without even planning it, so I accidentally matched the vibe which made it even better. The atmosphere overall feels clean, modern, and relaxed without being over the top. It works really well for a casual lunch or a low-key date where you still want something a little nicer. We tried a few different things, and everything was well done. The burger was juicy with a good melt on the cheese and a soft bun that held together nicely. Simple, but done right. The side salad was fresh and actually had flavor instead of just being there. The meatballs were a standout--really tender and covered in a rich, creamy sauce that made the dish feel more elevated. The mussels were also great, and the broth was flavorful enough that dipping the grilled bread in it was a must. Nothing felt like a miss, and everything had a little extra attention to detail. Also our server was very nice and kind I liked her. Overall, I'd come back. It's not super fancy, but it feels like a step up from your usual spots and is a great option if you want something cute, relaxed, and still really solid.

Cheese curds - 8.5/10 Really good center and sauce, needed more breading and crunch on the exterior to match the quality of the state fair. Burger - 7/10 Solid for a pub burger, bun slightly more charred than I like, inner bites better than edges. To be fair, I'm realizing that a pub burger has a lower ceiling than a good smash burger so you know my preferences. Parlour and Five Guys are 10's to me. Fries - 8/10 Extra crispy, pretty good but somehow lacking the same flavor of other places like Bon Chon or Spitz that also use the double fry/heavy batter method. Stir Fry Bowl - 6.5/10 - very soy forward and salty, reminds me of a wok place where you walk up and choose your ingredients. Could have used less sauce or maybe sub for teriyaki Chocolate Lava Cake - 9/10 Delicious! Perfect ratio of cake to ice cream and whipped cream. Quality ice cream and great way to end the meal. Service and atmosphere were great. Certainly a bonus to use their date night deal which I think was an app, two entree, and dessert for $40.

Beckett's in uptown and Meteor Bar in Northeast are great examples of bars, both with food, that consistently go later no matter what. granted they are both in Minneapolis, so different customer base. come here, support this local establishment! they are good, just not great though they could be!! p.s. yes i am writing this from the bar, and just an update: my bill confirmed their happy hour is NOT running tonight. :/ granted the bartender never said there was happy hour and those menus weren't out, so i suspected as much. but i came for the happy hour, including food, and got neither. first world problems for sure!

Mirabelle was chosen for friends night out due to the social media post and it looking great on socials. I'd first like to say the staff here were amazing. We were helped by quite a few of them during our dining experience. We were even given a guided tour of the rentable event space, as well as the 2 other restaurant concepts they run, which are connected to Mirabelle. Shiki - Japanese inspired noodle bar, and Parlour Bar - Speakeasy vibes. Mirabelle has more of a supper club atmosphere. Back to the dining experience, we all ordered the drink special - I don't recall the name but we all enjoyed it. Kind of like a cosmo. We were able to catch a few things from the happy hour. As I said earlier I was looking forward to ordering the wings, which I did, but was later informed they ran out - we did go at dinner opening on a Monday - maybe they had a super busy week. I was left to only trying cheese curds and fries which were okay, nothing special. Others tried the caesar salad, a shrimp pasta dish, popcorn, and a few other dishes. Overall they weren't very impressed either. Probably would have enjoyed the other concepts a bit more personally. Also had popovers - they were very egg forward - smell and taste - also something no one really enjoyed at our table. The drinks and vibes were amazing though!

This place does get busy so definitely keep that in mind. Luckily I made reservations ahead of time so we had a table waiting for us, otherwise we would have been put on a waiting list since it's a small space. They put us in a corner booth which was nice and spacious enough for 4 people so I'd definitely recommend asking for a booth verse a table if you're planning to come with a larger group. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their attentiveness and sharing what they like best, especially for what's in season based on the time of year. The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! I'd definitely recommend the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon to anyone interested in visiting here. #eatwildsavewild The only negatives (which are more so just knowledge bombs for you): * Restaurant is VERY loud. It's hard to hear because it is one small room that everyone plus the bar is in. I wished I would have took a picture to show what I mean. Just know that if it's an intimate setting you're looking for this is not the place. So be prepared to talk loudly over the loudness and ask "excuse me?" or "repeat that" many times throughout your visit because you're not going to hear everything. * Timed eating. Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. This is not the place to sit and talk post meal. * Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk a few blocks as the road parking in front of the business is pretty limited especially with the other stores and restaurants in the area. Regardless of those few bullets I highly recommend folks visit George & The Dragon. It's a really cool spot and the food was great! Plus theirs a malt shop right next door that looks yummy too, so definitely worth visiting and getting malts after for dessert.

I would give her drinks at 3/5, they're one margaritas way too sweet for me. However, were their other special cocktail was more well-balanced. They also have a great variety of beers and wines. Their food was really excellent. I will give it a 4/5. Definitely get their Reuben! This is one of the best ribs I've had in a long time. They also have a great variety of seafood, which is hard to find in the Twin Cities. I had yummy mahi-mahi tacos with a grilled taco shell (which is rare, I always get a soggy taco shell whenever I get fish tacos). Atmosphere is 5/5. They have lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Their outdoor outdoor patio is gorgeous and has an outdoor bar. They do tend to get busy on the weekend so I would arrive early or make a reservation in advance. Service was good, slightly slow to get our drinks, but our waiter did check on this multiple times to give us updates. Definitely will come back again!

I've been to Duke's quite a few times, and I'm surprised that I have not reviewed it previously…read more It is what I would call a very solid sports bar restaurant. It was fairly crowed for a week day dinner and I suspect that it usually the case. On this visit I had the full-size Thai Peanut Salad ($19) which was very tasty, with a mix of chicken, salad greens, red cabbage, carrots, red bell pepper, edamame, green onion, cilantro, and peanuts, It has a Thai peanut dressing, and is topped with crispy cellophane noodles. It was quite yummy and had a surprising (but not obnoxious) kick to it. My wife ordered a half version of the Honey Pecan Chicken Salad ($13), which salad greens, apples, craisins, sweet potato, egg, green goddess dressing, with a honey mustard drizzle. She enjoyed it equally as much. The waitress was pleasant and filled my pop without me asking (always a good sign). There is a back room for parties and large groups, as well as a side area that is more bar-oriented. This restaurant used to be the second location of the Greek Restaurant, Christos. Back in the Christos days, it was more cozy and quiet, which I miss, but then again, this is a sports bar, so I guess it's not fair to compare. Duke's had earned a place on our restaurant rotation and it's a good place to go for dependable, solid food in a restaurant that is casual and fun.
