This deli has…read morebeen in the community for a while per its signage and it's still quite popular based on the volume of customers we ate with. The interior is quite spacious, which was unexpected given the humble shopping center storefront. There were lots of places to sit and everything was tidy. They have a fairly expansive deli menu with sandwiches, soups, and what I think of as southern salads (e.g. chicken salad, pasta salad, etc - not necessarily a meal or dish with a bunch of greens, lol). They also have the option of getting half sandwiches with a soup or salad. You order at the counter here and are given a number, which an employee will call out when your food is ready. The folks working were pleasant and attentive and our food was made quickly. My dad ordered a Reuben sandwich with chips and my mom and I both got the Frito chili pie. We both got sour cream with ours; I also got pickled jalapeños on mine at no extra charge. Everything was tasty. The Frito pie was a sizeable portion and very hearty. The chili wasn't spicy at all but had satisfying umami flavor. The Fritos stayed nicely crunchy and the jalapeños were a great touch. My dad liked his Reuben too, though it didn't quite stack up to the heights of his GOAT Reuben, haha. The side of chips was impressive and very generous. Overall, a simple but satisfying visit that we enjoyed. Give them a try if you're passing through.

Service was quick and cheerful from all the staff. I had the fried catfish, baby lima beans, fried okra, and hush puppies. Spouse had shrimp basket, hush puppies, and homemade potato chips. As you can see, multiple fried foods. Fried okra is how I test "country" cooking. This was the best fried okra I have had in years. The catfish, shrimp and hush puppies were all excellent. It seems like they use a very light oil, but however, they do it the results are crunchy, non-greasy and bring out the flavor of the food. The way frying is meant to do. Very light breading but just enough. The baby lima beans were excellent. So many times I've had side orders that tasted just like they were scooped out of a 5 gallon can of Sysco product. I could be wrong, maybe it was the very very mild seasoning, but these did not seem commercial. A few caveats. There was a single catfish fillet and it was quite small. I recall getting the catfish fillet meal at the old Gibson's on the Parkway before it burned down. Two large fillets. But actually they could not compare to this. Hush puppies were excellent, I like more onions in them. But that's my preference. But for me, this does not takeoff from the overall five star rating, which I rarely give on a first visit. If you like country food, by all means go here. We will be back.

Our parents have known each other since before we were around and it was a homecoming of sorts. We opted to come here for a good ol' fashioned meat and three. The place is super cute! It's literally like a Grandmother's house! The menu covered all the bases. When we ordered and got our food, it was all tasty and delicious but truth be told, it tasted like the food I served at work! Literally carbon copy. That said, my job served good food too! I was just hoping for something that set them apart from the rest but I guess you can't complain about tried and true!

I love pimento cheese in all its forms and have never had it like they make it. Beware if you have a nut allergy guys, because it's loaded up with pecans (if I'm not mistaken on the nut). A true Simple Southern Menu with comfort food you'd expect from Mom. I go multiple times on my visits to Albertville. It is a MUST for lunch or to call in and pick up some 'to go' pimento cheese!

We seated ourselves in a booth with minimal cleaning needed. Had to ask for it to be cleaned. At first I wasn't too sure about our server Emma but she turned out to be wonderful. We order a 16" extra cheese pizza with half mushroom and onion. Pepsi products and hubs had the calzone with sausage, green peppers and onion and a blood orange beer. If you want deep dish Chicago style be prepared to wait from 44 minutes to an hour. We were told because it's cooked upside down it takes longer for everything to cook. The calzone was beautiful when brought to the table and pizza looked good. The cheese had a great cheese pull. Granddaughter had a heck of a time biting it off. Beer tasted good. I always take the first sip when it really cold. Pizza was delicious, you could taste the onions without it being overpowering. They were bite size. Not much business at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. One of the servers had her kids there and they were running back and forth chasing each other. That did t bother me but the stomping on the booth seat did. As we left the server had her daughter helping her pick up a large table. The little guy was jumping off the stage. This would be an awesome bar with good music at night. Sorry don't know if they do that already. Brought leftovers home. Didn't care for the pizza cold but that's just me.
