Awesome cakes! We had the lavender lemon and chocolate ganache cake at our wedding and they were big hits. Tasted great and looked beautiful. Definitely coming back for all our cake needs! read more

I ordered a cake for my mom's 60th birthday from BAKED. The communication process was superb and left me in no doubt that they understood what i wanted and would be able to deliver on it. I got the Tiramisu cake. I was worried that the cake won't taste very good (as is a lot of times the case with fancy cakes like these). What a pleasant surprise - the cake tasted just as good as it looked! everyone at the party LOVED the look and loved the fact that it tasted great. everyone had second and third helpings! I will definitely return to BAKED for any future cake needs read more

Baked - 60th bday cake from BAKED - Custom Cakes Near Me - Seattle, Washington

They've made me 6 or 7 special occasion cakes at this point and the craftsmanship and creativity is always a 10/10. You're paying a premium for the beauty, quality, and taste. Normally a gorgeous display cake doesn't taste great, and that's far from the case with baked. Their red velvet is ahhmazing. I'd recommend to anyone, and I'll be ordering cakes from them for a long long time! read more

Baked was delicious and easy to work with. We did a to-go tasting plate to try four flavors, and chose two of those flavors for cake bites and a small three tier wedding cake. We went with lavender haze and chocolate decadence. Lavender haze was a perfect light flavor and chocolate decadence was so rich and moist. The cake bites were the perfect size for everyone to try both flavors and not leave half of a piece of cake left uneaten on their plate. We loved their cake. read more

I cannot say enough about how thrilled I was with the quality of my daughter's 5th birthday cake. Why I hadn't heard of BAKED before now is a mystery, but I will be going back for all of my specialty cake needs. I sent them a few images of pictures for concepting purposes and gave them a description of the type of garden party themed gathering we had planned. They came back with the most adorable, detailed and intricately decorated cake we've ever had. The vanilla/confetti cake while dense, was extremely moist and our guests were asking if we might have an extra bucket of frosting! I may just order a Mother's Day cake for myself after this experience. Thank you to Natalie and the talented team at BAKED for helping make our 5-year-old's party so memorable! read more

For my daughter's first birthday I had Natalie bake a cake and oh my goodness.... it was the most fantastic cake! I'd emailed her a picture of the party decorations and she matched the cake perfectly. I wish I could post a picture of it here because it was adorable! And it tasted amazing (it was a carrot cake). I'd definitely recommend Baked to others looking for a cake for a special occasion. read more

They need serious work on their customer service communication skills. They don't greet you when you walk in and as soon as they see you (appointment was made) they want you out of the bake shop, or so they make it seems like it. We almost ordered a cake for my girlfriends 30th bday. Thank god for for their expensive cake tasting ($50 for 4 different flavors)!!! The other reason why they disappointed was the taste. A very dry taste and it's so hard to tell which flavor is what since all the samples looked alike. Who knows, we might give them another chance in the future but for this occasion it's a no. read more

This review is about a chocolate decadence cake specifically. Shopping around for a cake for my wedding, the taste test they do is for 6 flavors, 3 flavors for buying a cake test (also limited flavors) which didn't help me since the flavors I wanted to taste were not all included. So we bought a small cake of the flavor we wanted to taste the most and decided to base our opinion on just a regular cake they produced to see the standard for the rest. The cake was good, but it was surrounded by buttercream frosting (or creme if you prefer) everywhere you looked. More than half the cake was frosting and it was not what I was looking for. The frosting was also suppose to be dark chocolate, and it tasted like milk chocolate. The pricing is about on par with other bakery's, maybe a little higher than some. The employee's were all very super nice, and accommodating. Great customer service. I will probably try another cake there because of the great customer service and compare it to this one. read more

I got my wedding cake from Baked, and it was not only beauty Done, it was delicious. We got the Lemon poppyseed cake with vanilla bean creme and blackberry preserves. It was satisfying yet light and airy. I would recommend Baked to anyone looking for a great cake. read more

I'm sure the cakes this place prepares are quite good and the people who prepare them are quite capable. Based on the pictures on their website and in the reviews here, we drove from another area of the city to the shop to see if they could make a cake for our daughter's first birthday. When we get their, we see a sign that says "By Appointment Only" on the door. We were beyond disgusted at this inconvenience due to lack of information on the part of Baked, PUT THIS INFORMATION ON YOUR WEBSITE and on your Yelp page too. read more

I order a cake for my brother fiancee birthday, she loves hello kitty so I ask them to make a hello kitty theme. The cake came out really cute with hello kitty picture with white, brown and pink theme however the spread on the top is not really smooth and also my other mistake is order the green tea flavor with vanilla which is not very good, the green tea is super weak, you can barely taste it and the vanilla cream is so heavy. I wish I ordered another flavor (looks like red velvet and carrot cake are good). But again, we all agree that the cake looks cute and she's happy with the outer look. read more

Baked did our Mario & Princess cake for us. They knew exactly what to do and gave us a great cake at a great price - we couldn't have been happier. read more

We ordered a white cake with raspberry filling for our Daughter's Baptism in September.. We opted to have butter cream frosting instead of fondant, which was a better decision. Fondant tends to be on the thicker side and to be quite honest, it's not tasty. Kudos to the ladies who we corresponded with about decoration details who actually recommended it! It was a simple 3 tiered square cake, exactly what we wanted. Delivery was only $25. We were very happy with how it turned out! Not only was it aesthetically pleasing, but it also tasted delicious!! A couple of our guests went in for a second slice. It was affordable and we enjoyed the service. We plan to order cakes in the future.. Our Daughter's 1st Birthday perhaps... =) read more

We used BAKED for cupcakes at our wedding reception in April. They were just amazing! We got SO many compliments on how good they tasted and asking where they were from...you can really tell they used fresh ingredients versus that super thick and sweet frosting that the more well known cupcake places use. I know they're known for their custom cakes, but the cupcakes were delicious. We actually ordered "baby cakes" which were smaller versions in various flavors - chocolate with salted caramel frosting, red velvet with cream cheese frosting, lemon with raspberry...yum. The tasting appointment was fun and it was hard to narrow down our picks with so many good choices. I will definitely recommend BAKED to anyone who's looking for an awesome cake (or cupcakes)! read more

The did an amazing job on my step-daughter's Angry Birds cake! What was even more amazing what that they were able to help us out on a last minute order. The quality of the cake was amazing and the fondant Angry Bird was dead on. Well worth the price. They will get out business for every cake based event from now on. read more

I wanted a TARDIS cake. I got a TARDIS cake! The artistic quality was spot-on, and the cake its-self was delicious. Despite a small communication problem, I'll be using them again next year. I mean, A TARDIS CAKE!!! ; 0 read more

Wonderful experience from start to sugary finish. I ordered a cake for my wife's 30th birthday. I emailed in a request through their website, they replied promptly and answered all my questions right away and over the next couple emails they took my suggestions and came up with an idea for a cake that i loved. When I picked up the cake it exceeded my expectations. The cake was beautifully decorated and honestly looked like something I would have expected to see on a cake competition show. On top of looking amazing the salted caramel cake tasted fantastic. Thank you for helping to make my wife's birthday a memorable one. read more

BAKED created 2 cakes for me.Throughout the entire process they were professional and responsive. They provided samples for tasting, followed up promptly to my questions and asked many themselves to make sure they were on the right path. The exterior design on both cakes came out just as i wanted. Using clip art i was able to provide some specific direction. I think this helped convey my vision. The interior cake and filling came out well too. Not too sweet. My only quibble: pretty pricey but if you really want an edible piece of art, you can count on BAKED. read more

I don't know where to begin! This place is wonderful! The cake is delicious and the staff is incredibly flexible. We ordered our wedding cake from Baked and were not disappointed. I highly recommend the Italian Cream cake! It is keep you up at night, longing for the next piece delicious. We also had a layer of a custom creation which was delicious as well. It was a vanilla bean cake with blackberry preserves and vanilla bean cream. I feel that they are right on par with most bakeries as far as price goes. They did a great job with follow-up, communication, and responsiveness. I cannot recommend Baked highly enough. In fact, we have been married for 20 days and I am already looking into ordering a custom cake to get me next fix! read more

Introduced by palisade's banquet manager to use Baked for our wedding cake. We can't be more happy with our special two flavor cake! We had lavender and raspberry lemon flavors for 4 tiered cake. Their price is fair, and cake was awesome. Definitely recommended! read more

Deeeelicious cakes! Had a wedding recently, coming from out of state. Baked was referred to us, and we had no regrets picking this place. My wife and I are VERY picky and detailed, and with all of our requests that we had for our wedding cake, they were able to meet our needs. We even brought in a makeshift cake topper and they implemented it onto our cake beautifully. We can't wait for our one year anniversary so we can dig into the top tier and gobble it all up! read more

Baked. is amazing in every way. I cannot recommend them highly enough! For 5 years now, I've asked them to make a cake (first for my baby shower, and then for my daughter's birthday every year since), and every single cake has been beautiful and delicious. I know very little about fancy cakes and fondant and am - at best - an amateur baker myself, but the kind and supremely talented ladies at Baked ALWAYS come up with a creative way to make my requests a reality. Baby shower cake with a cute baby head coming out of a hatbox? Sure, no prob. How about an elaborate tiered cake with a moose on top? Yup, got it. And a Moana-themed s'mores cake with the same moose in a canoe with palm trees in the background? No.big.deal. Every single time, a cake masterpiece. There is no other place I'd rather go for incredible cakes in the entire PNW. read more

Have ordered two cakes from them. They both were amazing. Besides tasting good they are made with all natuaral locally sourced ingredients. Their designs are fantatsic and their prices are reasonable. Much better tasting cake than anything you will get in a grocery store bakery. read more

Wow! I am not a customer writing a review because I did not purchase or order the cake but I work at a local place that does birthday parties and this was the best cake I have seen in a long time. The cake was custom ordered and wonderful. I didn't have any of the cake (I don't taste the cake when I'm doing someone's birthday party!!) but everybody raved about it. Next time I want a special cake I am going to check out Baked. read more

I ordered my wedding cake here and it looked beautiful and was delicious! We did 3 flavors, Raspberry lemonade, Chocolate Decadence (guests favorite), and Strawberry Cheesecake. I love their designs and flavors, however it did dry out a little by the time we cut it, which was 4 hours after delivery, that could be normal though. read more

They're a little hard to get a hold of as they don't answer their phone or check emails everyday. You also need to plan ahead if you want a cake from them. This might be because I have a Groupon and they're swamped with orders. But I must say I'd do business with Baked again. Their cakes are delightful. Gorgeous and so super tasty. You won't be disappointed. Seriously their cakes are totally amazing! read more

I loved my experience with this bakery. I am from Portland, OR who was planning a birthday in Seattle, WA. Everyone at the bakery was so sweet and helpful. Made the entire process of picking out a cake, flavor and delivering the cake the to restaurant I was having my birthday at so simple and easy. Not once have I met with anyone from the bakery in person. All communication was over the phone and it was simple and so easy! When the waiter and my friend brought out the cake it was perfect and I loved it from the second I saw it. To top things off the red velvet cake tasted amazing! Wonderful experience I had with this bakery. read more

We used Baked. for our wedding cake and i have to say that the cake tasted amazing! Who ever says to a bride, your cake was so good? Cause I usually think wedding cake is gross! I asked for a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling but champagne colored buttercream frosting. They designed it to mimic jewel-drops on each layer like a chandelier since the ballroom we were in had several jewel-dripping chandeliers. I also had them make a cake for 75 (if I did for 100, one of the cakes would have had to be a taller size and I wanted all same height) and they added an additional sheet cake to make it 100 servings. Only 80 people were at reception and we still had the extra sheet and the top layer leftover! I think the cake cutter at my venue cut it super small. Anyways, I mention because I think they offer generous servings. I posted 4 out of 5 stars because I confirmed with them twice that the pedestal I had would work and it ended up not working. That was a huge disappointment. I only showed them pics but they said it would work with what they saw. Also, I think a couple details we discussed for decorations were missing. At the end of the day, my cake tasted great but just looked a little plain to me without my pedestal and the missing details. I would still recommend them, though. We will probably use them again! read more

110% Satisfied! My little princess fell in love with her cake. We're much appreciated of the Baked staff for making our celebration complete. Our cake was perfect and very yummy (see images) - chocolate raspberry truffle. We will definitely come to Baked again for our future cakes. read more

I ordered a 6' square cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday. The cake was beautifully decorated with Dora and was delish! I was a little worried that it wouldn't be enough for 12 people, but we had almost half of it left over and sent pieces home with the guests. Great cake and great experience! Highly recommended. read more

I've now gotten 2 cakes from Baked.. the first was for my son's first birthday - they did cute little sugar sculptures on top one of an elephant and one of a panda and a circus tent. He loved it. We got the vanilla cake with salted caramel filling...mmmmmm good. The second was a lobster cake for my Brother & Sister-in-laws wedding shower. This cake was beyond AWESOME. LOVED it. Go to their website and find this cake... super cool. The details were great...the lobster hanging on top of the cake, the wooden sign with their wedding date, and all the sea shells. Loved it.. it was the tiramisu flavor and it too was really good. That cake was art. These girls know what they are doing. read more

I had my first experience with Custom Baked Cakes; I am a cake snob with high expectations and usually only order cakes from Stuffed Cakes. Because Stuffed Cakes popularity makes it impossible to order a cake without a two moth notice, I tried Custom Baked Cake's...They were awesome and the appearance of cake was beyond my expectations. Baked provided a beautiful and delicious cake for us, just what we asked for! One of my best friends threw a baby shower for me last weekend and ordered a cake from Baked. She was visiting from another state so a few weeks before I sent her a list of places in West Seattle that offer cakes or cupcakes. Typically I am not a cake fan because they are often dry with too much sweet frosting or flavorless fondant but cake is an easy dessert for a shower so I went along with it. My friend called around and found that Baked was most likely to provide the desired quality at the desired price point for a shower cake so that is why they were selected. I wasn't part of the design/flavor selection but what was produced was delicious and fun looking. The cake was a moist vanilla cake with pomegranate icing in between the layers. It was decorated in a fun green color with multicolor polka dots and blue glitter edged label. As the guest of honor I was very pleased with this cake and will keep Baked in mind for future celebrations. read more

Not only are their cakes gorgeous and delicious, but their customer service was excellent! Baked did our wedding cake and it was perfect. I bought a Groupon that I tried to use today at Baked. and they are not honoring any more Groupons despite the fact that I called within the 1 week advanced notice prior to the Groupon expiring. Apparently, everyone else had the same idea and they are swamped with filling orders. I offered to pick the cake up at a later date but they said it has to be picked up by 11/19 (when the Groupon expires) even though that detail is not listed in the "fine print". Quite frankly, it is not my problem that they do not have the bandwidth to honor the product that I paid for even though I tried to be flexible with them on when I get the cake. In my opinion, this is bad business practice and therefore they will never have my business. On the upside, Groupon refunded my money which was the right thing to do! read more
