What a lucky course of events! There is seating both inside and outside. The interior clean, bright, elegant and simple. The staff were friendly and we were served very quickly. The only wait was for the coffees ordered at my table. They were fantastic as well. I ordered the Tiramisu pie. Amazing texture, velvety layers, perfect flavor blend, bold, just the right amount of sweet...delicious. We'll be back to try more and if you haven't visited Light on The Sugar Bakery Cafe, I highly suggest you do.

My Key Lime Pie Puff was great although I would've loved a slightly more baked graham cracker crust. I also had a try of the Tiramisu cake slice and that could've been a bit HEAVIER on the sugar, if you know what I mean. Overall, I would absolutely pop in again.

We ordered a board as an appetizer and waited close to 35 minutes for it before our server realized she never rang it up. We were upset as we wanted something to snack on as we waited for our meal. She offered to quickly have it made, but our food was almost ready and it did not make sense to us anymore at that point. But no other resolution was offered. The food was great, but it took a while to get our food. It didnt seem to be busy, yet they where slow. Im sure if we had our appetizer, we wouldnt have noticed the 45 minute wait. We loved the cheesecake and the mocha cake! Drinks where very nice and strong. Overall, i loved it here. Hopefully next time ill be able to get my board!

It was a really good experience. We started with the baked Brie appetizer and it was delicious ( forgot to photograph that). I'm a vegetarian and love the fried zucchini sandwich but today's lunch special was a spaghetti squash special and it was delicious! I highly recommend it. Hubby had the smash burger and fries and all was good. I had a special cocktail called Blue Eyes something that was very refreshing. Elise gave us very good service and as always, I got a piece of Tropical Cake to go, that will last for days. Other than parking being tough, this is a great place for girls days, lunch with the hubby, etc.

It was a little bit of a drive away, near the beach, and there was absolutely no parking on a Friday night. My husband dropped me off and circled while I placed a few to go orders. It was a cute little shop with donuts, shakes, and ice cream. The donuts are not traditional donuts; more like deep fried donut holes that are covered with all kinds of yummy toppings. They're also served nice and hot and in 10 packs. They had lots of cool donut flavors like: Dark Delight, Maple Bacon, , White Tella, and Love U Matcha, The prices range from $8.75 to $9.50 per box. They all sounded yummy; but we decided on Twix Fix, drizzled with caramel, melted chocolate, and cookies, and Lotus Crunch, which was topped with melted Biscoff cookies. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes and the bag of donuts was nice and warm. We ate them when we got back home. They were more chewy and heavier than regular donut holes, but rich and delicious. You could really only eat a few; so a box of 10 is a decent sized dessert for 2 people to share. Lukumades is definitely a very unique donut experience and worth supporting because they're not a huge chain. You'll be glad you tried them....and its worth the drive.

That said, I still really enjoy stopping in. The popovers are my favorite and honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back. I also love that they're connected with the bakery at Biscotti's, because Biscotti's desserts are A-MA-ZING, especially the cakes. BB's usually has rotating meal options and entrées, which keeps things interesting, and I enjoy seeing what they have available. Some dishes feel more unique than others, but overall the food is generally tasty and thoughtfully done. I'd recommend BB's if you're looking for a cozy local spot with great baked goods, good food, and especially if you want to try the popovers. Just be prepared for limited parking and a smaller seating area.

The place is small with limited seating in a storefront but the ideas and flavors are huge! I ordered a small mixed vegetable pizza (minus the olives ) and a very inviting red velvet cupcake! When I saw my small pie, my eyes and mouth were so excited! The cheese was all that and they weren't stingy with the spinach, mushrooms, and mixed bell pepper chunks! It was delicious! The red velvet cupcake had a tempting cream cheese center that called my name, and I answered! It was not super sweet, a huge concern of mine, but just the right balance. I went in the late afternoon, so the cake, itself, was a little dry but the cream cheese center really helped it out. I will definitely be back for more on the menu!

The next morning, we had the sausage and scallion bun at home. I liked it, maybe more than the pork bun, and would get it again, though it had the advantage of being reheated at home in the microwave. My wife liked the dough, the hot dog less so (and I must admit the hot dog in the croissant we had a while ago at Cruffin & Tea was better). I'd get this again, though probably trying the regular hot dog bun instead of the scallion one next time. I'd asked the server if she could reheat our items when I bought them, but she said no, and didn't seem to understand English well. So far, I've preferred the savory things to the sweets here. Each item was $3-3.25, so a better value than the other bakeries I go to. I will return to this place periodically, but I still prefer places like Cruffin & Tea and Le Petit Paris, so I'm giving Mai Xiang Garden Bakery an average rating, 3 stars: pretty good, but not above average for a bakery, other than the good value.

I love that they have packaged treats and gemstones you can hand pick from the window case - this gives newbies a chance to ask questions and order to their hearts content without committing to the unknown. My next visit I'm trying another drink option and pivoting to the savory selection; they don't have the hot case for nothing! The women who were here are so nice and attentive, they're helpful in explaining what things are and what to expect from the pastries. They're also great multitaskers, holding down the café, whilst keeping things in stock, staying on top of bulk orders and tending to the stores needs. Napakahusay

It might be even better if they added a few raisins to it. We'll be back for this item periodically. We also tried a mango float ($6). It was good, and had more whipped cream in it than the one I'm used to, but I've probably had slightly better examples. For $6, it's not a great value: smaller than the cinnamon roll and not as good. I might get it again, but probably not at that price. This remains one of my favorite bakeries in town, and we'll be back periodically. Update: We tried another cinnamon roll. This time we thought it was fantastic, the best thing I've eaten in a long time. 25 seconds microwaved again. We'll have to get one periodically.
