Pink lemonade and a Peanut Butter Marshmallow Cheesecake slice
Jennyfer A.

The service was fantastic! The cheesecakes were out of this realm! So many interesting and unique flavors of cakes and pies to choose from! My friend and I tried 1 slice of the Peanut butter Marshmallow cheesecake and the Bavarian Apple cheesecake. Just 1 slice is enough to fill you up. It was a hearty amount of cheesecake and we almost couldn't eat it all, LOL! My friend loved his apple cheesecake and I loved how delicious marshmallows and peanut butter taste together. I never tasted that pairing before but it is very tasty. The restaurant's website says that they have lunch meals like burgers and sandwiches but when I went there today I couldn't see those regular lunch meals anywhere on the menu. I really liked how they had Halloween decorations and balloons floating everywhere though. Very festive and nice atmosphere.

3.5/5, +.5 for service Baked Expectations has become my hangout place for desserts and (sometimes) dinner in Osborne. Their cakes simply cannot be beat in terms of size, and their non-dessert food is actually quite decent too. I've been here twice now, and both times I tried different items. The first time I had the German Chocolate Cheesecake, while the second time I had the linguine marinara and Oreo Cookie Cheesecake. I also had the Real Hot Chocolate both times. For the cheesecakes, I enjoyed the Oreo cookie cheesecake a lot more. The German chocolate one didn't have a good presentation, and had way too much pecan and not enough chocolate. The linguine marinara was decent. It's not the best I had, but the size portion was quite generous for the price I paid. The Oreo cookie cheesecake, man...if there's one cheesecake that I highly recommend everyone to try in here, it's definitely that one. Excellent in all ways possible in taste and presentation. Service was great both times, even during busy hours (and it gets damn busy at night especially on Fridays and Saturdays). It's certainly a wonderful place to have in the village, and usually if I have friends coming over I will recommend this place to them.

Sold 3.5 This was my dessert / coffee place to go to during my university years, so when Im visiting Winnipeg its a must stop for me. 10 years ago I might have given this place a 5 stars. The desserts are great I love the cheesecakes, pavlova, and great sandwiches too. Cant go wrong most things are great and open late. Some changes from my uni days, prices have gone up, and the price for a dessert was already pricey back then when I was a poor student, slices of cake have become smaller. I find service hit and miss depending on when you come. Place looks exactly the same, cool diner feel. Only accepts cash or debit!

Burgers and cheesecake. Don't forget the mix, I mean pink lemonade

Ordered delivery through door dash, which was really delayed and I think contributed to the status of my burger, which was soggy. Otherwise it was great, fries held up ok. No salt or pepper or ketchup tho :(. Got a cheesecake which was delicious!!! And a pink lemonade which will be mixed with sparkling wine.

Old fashioned chocolate cake

This place was very highly recommended to us by some local friends. It was okay so we felt a tad disappointed as we had cultivated a lot of expectations from baked expectations. We tried three of their cakes: Old Fashioned Chocolate - It was okay. It was a little too dense and too sweet for my taste. Cinnamon Torte - Or 1000 layer cake as we were calling it fondly. It was very nice, fluffy, tall with lots of easily distinguishable layers and balanced taste and sweetness. Very good. Shmoo - This was the lightest and fluffiest of the lot. A lot of caramel sauce was poured over it, which made it a little too sweet. Still pretty good. 3.5 stars overall. Having said all that, we'll definitely return. This time to try their different cheesecakes. Seriously hope it'll be even better this time.

Surprised to be the first review for 'D Spot Dessert Cafe' as this has been a raving new trendy…read moredessert spot. For a first timer the menu is a little overwhelming as the options range from diner food, multiple dessert options, and hot/cold drinks. That being said, the server was very welcoming but did not offer any suggestions or recommendations to their menu. Apart from that, the ambience is very open and has a very 'retro diner' look with lots of booths. Being a new place there were not many people seated and walk in orders seem to be more preferred. If you are debating on a good and quiet time to go, I had arrived late into the evening at 8 pm and the service was still really prompt. I had ordered the 'Cookie Butter Croffle' and also wanted to try their House brew coffee. I was sharing with a friend and the portion sizing was pretty good for a light bite between the two of us. There were 2 croffles and 1 vanilla ice-cream cup on the side. The croffle was warm and not too sweet when paired with the icecream it was delicious! Almonds and biscoff bits for a nice little crunch and the layers of the croissant were very buttery. Would recommend if you like a lighter dessert as it hit the right spot without making me feel like I'm eating too much sugar. The coffee was straight from the pot and unfortunately did not receive a sleeve for it upon arrival but other than that the coffee was alright. My other friends loved their desserts just like I had and we were overall satisfied with our individual dishes! For a first timer I definitely will be coming back. This place is open late into the evening so if you ever have a late night sweet tooth I would definitely recommend it here as it really hit the spot!

service staff very unorganized, food all came out a different times…read more desert was really good tasting rate the food was 9/10
