It's a small-batch artisan bakery produces old-world style bread and bakery products baked fresh daily on a wood-fired brick oven. I haven't tried their breads yet but it's made with wild yeast (traditional sourdough leaven) and has no additives or preservatives. Baguettes and sour doughs adorn this place. Croissants will be coming soon but aren't on the menu at the moment. They sell cookies, scones, danishes, tortes, whole cakes can be ordered and even sandwiches to go. The shop is tiny but beautiful - I'm a sucker for bakeries. Now I will warn you that the prices are kinda steep compared to other bakeries around the city (at least for the items I purchased). I was very intrigued by their heavy cream dark chocolate scone that went for a whopping $4.25 - yes, that's for one normal sized scone. Now, I was hoping to hate it since it was so pricey but it was really delicious. The dark chocolate did not overwhelm the scone. The scone had a lovely taste and was at the perfect moisture level. It was really good but that price is hard to justify for me. Also tried a peach danish with some custard filling for $5 - this was not a flakey danish but more like a soft bread bun style, which I liked but my sister preferred a more flakey danish. The filling was very well balanced and not overly sweet but once again at $5, it was a bit steep. They sell a variety of cookies and the one that caught my attention was the milk chocolate chip cookie with pretzels and potato chips ($1.75 each). This was a soft but dense cookie that was sweet from the milk chocolate and while I didn't get a lot of pretzel and chips, the latter items provided a bit of texture to the typical cookie. Service is incredibly friendly here and despite the higher than expected prices I will be visiting them again and trying other items. It's a quality product and everything I tasted was good. They are open Wed-Fri 10 am- 6 pm and Sat 9 am- 5 pm.

Sandwich was stacked high with fresh veggies as well. Also had a lovely chocolate chip cookie (2 for $3.50); it was more crumbly than I prefer but it had a good chocolate chip cookie taste. They have 2 tables inside the bakery to dine at. There's usually 2 sandwich types and a soup that's available along with all the fresh baked goods.

The menu has a very good variety of reasonably priced healthy items. There is a good selection of vegan, dairy free, vegetarian, gluten free and options with meat for choosing. We ordered the vegan "cauliflower wings" to share which were amazing! My friend ordered the taco vegan salad and I had tofu "chicken" strips and fries. We both found the portions to be just right and both of our meals were very tasty. We absoultly loved the little addition of the fresh healthy vegan/gluten free/vegetarian bake shop and cooked items for purchase. I ordered a vegan date square to go post my dinner and my friend ordered the energy bites. We both found our desserts to be very yummy and again affordable. We will be comming back for sure as the menu has some great things we want to try!

I always want to try the Ube croissant one but it's always sold out. Try to get to this store early so you can pick your items before others do. The croissant with the cheesy corn filling is delicious! I had the chance to eat this when I first visited. The second time I ate here I tried the chocolate Danish and it was excellent as well. My favourite drink here is the canned Kombucha. The brand name is Prism Kombucha. It is a bit bubbly but not too much. My stomach seems to like it. There is not a lot of seats available here, the ambiance is average.

Okay, let me start by saying this. Their challah is the bomb. Perfectly executed, the slightly dense loaf has a nice eggy flavour with just the right amount of sweetness. It's not buttery like Chinese styled egg bread but it's lighter. It was love at first bite and I just couldn't stop - gobbling up three large slices smeared with butter. Oh yeah baby - this is carb porn for me. [feel free to insert cheesy music here] Next comes the delicious tea biscuits. Nice buttery flaky tea biscuits with raisins are yum! Toasted with a little bit of jam/butter, it's a luxurious afternoon treat with some tea. I've tried the other breads - raisin, cinnamon roll and whole wheat. The raisin bread had a nice texture but was a little dry. The cinnamon roll bread is a very sticky sweet loaf and the white bread just doesn't hold up. The whole wheat loaf is a decent loaf of bread - denser than your standard grocery loaf but not substantial enough. I'll admit - I haven't tried their gluten free products but they have a large variety. Butter tarts, brownies, bread... they've got it all. Overall, if it was just the challah and tea biscuits alone, this would be a 4 starred review. But because of the not-so great white breads and whole wheat loaf, this place rates a 3.5 starred review.

I entered this shop one day, hungry but not knowing what to buy. The vegan chocolate cake looked delicious but a bit too rich for me at the time...But one day I will try it. The cashier lady suggested I look in there clearance basket and I found a lemon iced scone. (The people who work here are a really cool, trendy, bohemian and eclectic bunch. I love their style and how chill and nice they are. I've heard stories around the neighborhood that they feed homeless people 1 free bread item a day.) Anyways I tried the lemon scone and I loved the buttery taste and the sweet lemon icing on it. Since I was a new customer they gave me a bonus fresh raisin loaf of bread. When I split this bread in half it was so epically fluffy and soft. It's got to easily be some of the best bread I've ever had. I definitely recommend this place for all your bakery needs. I can't wait to try some of their desserts as well.
