Cute little cafe. Counter staff not very welcoming, no one said hi or anything, two of them back there. Didn't order food as there was no visible menu, pastries available. Unsure if there were vegan options? Ordered a London Fog , asked extra hot, was not, tea bag not even steeped. Very mediocre for 5.25$ read more

AMAZING! I've been making my rounds amongst all the new independent coffee shops in the city and by far, this is the best one for cafe mocha. Cafe mocha is my drink of choice so that is the one that I've been ordering around the city. Hands, down, Cafe Postal's cafe mocha, at $4.25 is the best tasting one. The chocolate is subtle, not overly sweet or bitter, but manages to complement the espresso and milk perfectly. The espresso has a very smooth and balanced profile that lingers on your palate. Service is wonderfully warm and laid back. There's a couple of patio chairs on the front facing Provencher and there's several bar style seats that face the window looking out to Provencher inside the shop. There's not a lot of seating if you plan on staying. There are some food items available on the menu as well like croissants, sandwiches and some pastries. The interior space is very modern white space with beautiful light wood counters and some art work displayed on the walls. They also serve tea, cappuccino, lattes, americanos etc. The pricing is pretty consistent with all the other independent coffee shops in the city. They used to be closed on Sundays but are now open 7 days a week! read more

Yummy coffee and super friendly staff! It's very small inside, but I didn't need much room. It had a small town feel although it's in a big city, and the employees were welcoming and chatty. Found out we were going to Gimli next and told us about a coffee shop there that they get their beans from. They even contacted the owner of the place to let him know to watch out for us when we get there as we might need a few pointers on what to do in town. That's going beyond just good customer service. This is a great little coffee shop that opened on Provancher around last November. We found out about it a few weeks ago and had to go in. The environment was nice and minimalist, three pieces of artwork on one wall, all blonde wood counters and display boards, simplistic menu still with reasonable selection. Very friendly baristas, they remembered us the second time or so we went in which is a welcomed change from typical shops I've been in. It's got the decor and quality of those oft pretentious coffee shops with out any of the snarky bite or elitism. The coffee was really quality. The americano is nice and bitter but balanced with a complex profile. They're reasonably priced too. My fiancé and I got our order for 5 bucks even. Very nice shop, nice people, good coffee, and a simple look out into the streets. The minimalistic environment is soothing, and it has an energetic vibe even being as small as it is. Excellent, simple, non-commital place to stop by. A bit squishy (can't seat more than 10 people, if that) but the barista was very kind and genuinely accommodating of Anglos. Most of the clientele seemed to be quiet couples chatting. The air was a bit stifling because they look like they do their grinding in house, and there were a number of heavy instruments on the counter that look like they would be handy should any robbers need to be clocked about the head (just shove one of the utensils in a glove or sock and swing it to crack that egg wide open). Restroom was clean and sustainable water-saving mechanism on the toilet. Would come again. Genuinely kind and hospitable counter staff was the reason I give the 5 stars. Just don't wear a wool turtleneck if you want to spend time here unless you like the midday sun combined with coffee exhaust. Interestingly, the coffee aroma was not overwhelming. Good selection of teas with real dried flowers and paper tea bags. read more

I have traveled the world searching for outstanding and consistent coffee and who would have thought, but in the small city of Winnipeg (Canada) it exists! Cafe Postal, located in St. Boniface, is likely the best coffee I have tasted over the last several years. Their cafe mocha is excellent, smooth and flavorful. Service is very pleasant and knowledgeable. Although a tad expensive (with tip), it is surely one to try if you ever visit Winnipeg. Good luck in your tasting adventures. read more
