SO friendly and when I told him I was moving to town and didn't have a readers card yet because I was waiting to join the Writers Guild, he applied the discount anyway, because he knew they'd be seeing a lot of me in the future. There is a little step into the shop and steps to get up to the counter. So that's definitely challenging if you have any mobility issues at all (even being on crutches is a major issue).
