I was close to the area for work and wanted to get a nice late breakfast in. This spot was on my radar so it was the perfect time to come in. The young lady that took my order was very nice. The only annoyance I had was that there is no option to dine in which makes no sense. They have plenty of tables and space available. I also didn't really have anywhere to eat the food but my car since I don't live nearby. My inner Karen (no judgements please, we all have one) began to light a flame and I was certain I would leave a scathing review, however, that flame was extinguished as soon as I took the first bite. Here's what I ordered: The dough boy sandwich - The clouds parted and the birds began to sing, I was no longer uncomfortable eating inside of my car on a hot day because the joy I felt from eating this strongly overpowered any feeling of discomfort. It is a cheese egg omelette I chose bacon for protein and its all held together with a donut bread. I think it's very filling. 10/10 and only $5.50!!! Chicken and waffle - This is also delicious. Panko fried chicken, belgian waffle, maple butter, crushed red pepper syrup. Perfect balance of sweet and salty. Delicious. One of the few places that can make a good chicken and waffle. 10/10 ($14.50) This place is awesome. I would love to return but would really appreciate it if they opened their dining room. We've seen this small place a few times and always mention: oh we gotta try it but haven't been able to try until this past weekend! The place is small and although it has ample parking, seating is limited and it gets busy. At least on weekends. They also have a healthy take out presence which is always a great sign because that means their food is good. FYI! Only open for breakfast and lunch! This looks like the place was a home at some point facing federal highway. As you walk in, you will see a counter, two or three high tables and chairs to the left and the seating area to the right. Place your order first and then self seat yourself. This place is also a bakery so you can get gourmet donuts but the half dozen, dozen or individual: assorted cookies, etc We ordered coffee, orange juice, a cookies and cream donut, an egg shack and a Belgian waffle with side of eggs and bacon. Everything was delicious! The donut was light and fluffy; the Belgian waffle was super light yet crispy on the outside. Oh! And if you happen to pour the syrup in every nook of the waffle? Heaven!! The only thing I would have to say is that my eggs where bland BUT, I'd rather they be bland than salty. The potatoes on the egg shack were very good as well. No seasoning at all not a single salt granule to be found. We were here at lunch time so I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich while my wife ordered the pretzel burger because they're her favorite. We ordered the Dough Boy sandwich and the Egg Shack. The wait was over 20 minutes. We ordered a cinnamon roll and coconut chocolate donut as well. All the food was absolutely delicious! The cinnamon roll was nice and gooey sweet inside. The dough boy sandwich in the donut bun was so tasty with bits of bacon mixed in. The egg shack breakfast was huge with a delicious western omelette. The potatoes however were over salted and the thick bread was a bit too plain. It's bright & clean with friendly staff. They have a small parking lot on the side of the building. The first thing you see when you walk-in, their display of delicious baked goods. You can choose your baked goodies, eats & coffee to-go. Pay right their at the register or you can choose to dine-in for breakfast or lunch. When you dine-in they bring your order to your table but you have to get your own utensils, napkins, sugar, etc. it's a self serve situation. I usually take my order to-go. If you're not looking for it, you may pass it. Cool mom and pop bake shop. I had the crème brûlée and maple bacon donut. Crème Brûlée : the custard is on point. The flames sugar was great. The donut could have been a little softer given it was only 8:45am. At 7am I bet it was a 10/10. Maple bacon donut. Be sure you like maple, it was fantastic. The bacon didn't stick to the donut, they fell off in the bag, so I just ate them as bacon bites. I did put a few back on for the pic. Breakfast looks great, def coming back when I'm not limiting how much I eat! Also, walked out with a $7.49 bill, 2 donuts and a drip coffee. A lot of specialty donut places charge $4-$5 per donut (Salty....). Still not cheap, when you consider it a donut; but in comparison, on the more reasonable side. read more
