Hotel Hacienda Bajamar is such a beautiful resort that is best experienced at a slower rate. We were there for our friends wedding so we stayed for 3 days, 2 nights. Their standard rooms are very bare minimum; they do not include microwaves or a refrigerator but you will have your hotel toiletries, towels, hairdryer, iron board, iron, hangers, 4 bed pillows with decorative pillows, comforter blanket, AC, ceiling fan and a tv with basic cable. Around the hotel itself has artifacts and artwork that decorates the hotel nicely. The hotel building itself looks a bit on the older side but I feel like that gives the hotel character and personality. There is one restaurant within the resort and they have a fairly large menu for reasonable prices! Remember what I mentioned about the service situation earlier?! This is where I'd implement the practice of being patient and kind. This is the only restaurant on the entire resort, so they are busy often with room service and catering events all while running the restaurant/restaurant bar. We dined for a dinner and regular breakfast, we waited about 30-40 mins for our food so I highly would not recommend going when you're starving.. We didn't golf, but the ceremony and reception was held at the Infinity Center which overlooks the ocean BEAUTIFULLY during a cloudless day and the sunset is sooooo beautiful. I'd love to come back again with my family!

Quaint, athentic and welcoming of surfers and travelers of all kinds. The manager Antonio is a true blessing to this already adorable motel. He will make sure you have anything you need. And ask him about his recommendations around the area. He is a wealth of fantatic advise. If you are a resort type traveler this is not the place for you. However if you are looking for a real Mexican experience this is the place to be.

When I got there the people were fantastic and we decided to add an extra night. they are renovating the place as we speak and have 4 or 5 rooms out of 9 available. Anthony the manager was fantastic, he made every effort to make sure that we were happy and comfortable. would you like coffee in the morning? Anthony delivers it. the owner also stays on the property and is very kind to his guests. If you're a surfer it's the perfect place, Antonio teaches surfing, if you are already a surfer he is more than glad to take you out to all the great waves and spots. If you're not a surfer no problem you can walk one block down and have numerous fantastic restaurants and bars to choose from no driving required. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone who does not require five star service in a five star resort but is willing to take a chance with a small business owner and a small hotel. thank you to the hotel and its staff for all the excellent treatment.

We did enjoy our stay, and can't beat the price starting at $100 per night (cash). We always love getting some food and drinks on their patio with the stunning ocean views. The food was actually very good this time, even better than some past visits. It would be nice they could make some improvements, though, even if it involves raising the rates a bit. But overall, still a great trip to a bit of a gem in the rough.

The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The best part about the room was the view and the patio overlooking the view. And not all the staff can speak perfect English, but it was easy to communicate with everyone, and I cannot express just how friendly every staff member was. This hotel had everything we needed. There are two restaurants on site, one that is open for breakfast/lunch, and closes around 5pm and another that is open for dinner and opens around 5-6pm. The dinner restaurant on site Aledano, is newer and the Chef is incredible, he came to speak with us and make recommendations and when I told him I was vegetarian he prepared the Orzo dish without meat and honestly, it was one of the best things I've ever tasted. There is also a beautiful winery on site with wonderful wine. Everything about this hotel is perfect. We've even decided to make this our homebase whenever we travel to Tijuana, Rosarito beach, or Ensenada and nixed the idea of buying a property here. There are six suites that are made from re-purposed storage containers. Trey and his girlfriend have done a fantastic job of making each one unique and their decorations. The have floor to ceiling windows, giving you a spectacular view of K 38, the most popular surf beach in the area. The beds are super comfy, the linens are soft and luxurious, the pillows are perfect and the towels are super soft. The walk-in shower has ample room for two and has one of those rainfall showerheads. There is a couch, small fridge, air conditioning, and a projector TV system. The deck has two granite couches and a sun bed for two. The bathroom even has a large plate glass window with plenty of privacy. Alma and Carlos and their staff are amazing! Very friendly and accommodating, Always asking if there's anything we need. It has a great room on the top floor that has a fully stocked kitchen where are you are welcome to cook your meals. and a substantial bar which is on the honor system. They even have a large German shepherd mix named Pablo, who greets everyone. He developed a crush on Muffy, our 3 1/2 pound two year-old teacup Pomeranian. needless to say, I am a huge fan of Native Residence. Check it out! You'll be glad you did!

This place is very popular, people are always coming and going. My room was actually quite large with a nice balcony facing the ocean. I had the fortune of occupying a newly renovated room. My only complaint is the amount of noise that makes its way into the room from the exterior hallway. As soon as you enter on my left by the doorway was the bedroom which had a wall and windows facing the hallway. I guess, I was fortunate because most of my neighbors were quiet and respectful. The hotel can easily solve this problem by utilizing more sound absorbing materials. The hotel's restaurant has an outstanding breakfast buffet which was the most memorable experience of my stay. It's worth staying here just for the delicious breakfast. Would I stay here again? Most definitely, the hotel's proximity and food made all of the difference. There are also trails along the ocean front which I made use of after breakfast.

That killed the appetite pretty quick. We also ordered wine but we did not ask for the price and they ended up pouring a very expensive bottle. It was good but make sure you ask because the bill was pretty high We also booked this place because paddle boarding was offered. When we went to rent the boards they said they were not renting them out. Major bummer, if I would have known I would have brought my own board Over all nice hotel but I'm not sure if I would go back
