If you are looking for a getaway this place is it! Beautiful Hacienda it had its own exit from the highway so you can't get lost because it leads you straight on to the driveway and is a gated community so you feel safe. There's a golf resort and has a beautiful scenery to the ocean! They have their own spa and restaurant! We went on a weekend to celebrate Valentines Day so the whether was in the mid 60s and the rooms were cold, sadly the room's heater didn't work but they had portable heaters so that helped. :) The rooms were very nice and the restrooms were remodeled and new!

    Ok flavorless

Stopped here at a friends recommendation for lunch. Service was awful! Staff standing around. Food took forever, when we finally got it, it was cold!! Very disappointed. Waitress never checked on us!

What a freaking joke of a hOtel. HereS their lobby area. No pool. "Renovation" aka no water in it since December apparently. Don't go here. Asked for alternatives for kids to do and told spa and bikes and the receptionist pointed to adult bikes. The manager didn't even bother tI apologize. Stay away, much better places to stay at with a pool.

Very classical hotel. In general, hotel is very outdated. All the furniture, lights, heater, AC, etc.. is very old and need to be replaced. But in a way it goes really well with the hotel ambience. Probably about 20-30 years ago, this place must be the BEST hotel to stay. This hotel is located inside the golf resort along the coast. In the morning, looking out the coast with sunlight... it is million dollar view.. Maybe this is why I come here.. Also, price is decent.. not too high not too low. During the summer time, price gets expensive but during winter, very cheap. When you book jr suite, it comes with kitchen where you can cook your own meals. Since there is no grocery stores near by, need to bring all. They have basic kitchenware.

This hotel is a run down golf "resort". If you are coming to enjoy the pool and the views and not play golf, this is not the hotel for you. The pool is a mix of shitty plastic lounge chairs. Literally shit on them everywhere. An eclectic vibe of many different kinds of music. Oh, that's because every family bring there own speaker and there is a war of who's music sounds better. Don't forget your towel... this resort has no towels by the pool. Long story short if you don't really see the pool in the website there is a reason why. Lesson learned. I wish there was at least a bar here so I can at least get drunk and forget how shitty this pool is.

This is a sweet little find I came across on Expedia. Hacienda Bajamar is a golf resort located between Puento Neuvo and El Sauzal. The sleepy hotel is tucked between the 1D and the coast in a private community-cum-golf course. As far as relaxing and recouping from a day in Tijuana, Hacienda Bajamar is perfect. Mission style architecture sporting a gorgeous open courtyard set off the hotel abeyance; red tile floors, fountains, and gorgeous artwork add to the sense of peacefulness. The rooms are decorated in classical Spanish Mexican furniture, simple but elegant. My room had a comfortable balcony with garden doors and because the solitude of the area there wasn't much noise to spoil the stay. On the other hand the fixtures, electrical, and lighting is straight for 40 years ago. I had an issue with keeping my devices plugged in because the plugs would often fall out of the sockets. The bathroom's faucet and shower head were tarnished with age and dingy with mineral staining from the water. I didn't see anything that really made me think anything was dirty or unsafe, merely outdated. Within the property is the golf course, hotel, a great number of housing developments, what appeared to be apartment or condominiums, and structures in the process of being constructed or having been abandoned. There are many roads and paths that lead to fantastic views and scenic trails. I spent a sunset on the 18th hole, the best place to be after a day of traveling through Tijuana traffic. Tips: -I'm unsure what the popularity of this hotel is during other times of the year but it was almost empty during my visit; Expedia suggested that the hotel was sold out to create urgency. I recommend you contact Hacienda Bajamar to see the availabilty and the pricing before making reservations or bookings online. -Due to the issue with the electrical I'd consider a more trustworthy way to charge or power your items. -With so little light pollution you should take advantage of the chance to see the night sky. Hacienda Bajamar is a great location to skygaze.

this place is beautiful upon entering. secure and safe with gates and a guard to keep track of those who enter and exit the premises. the golf resort and ocean front is beautiful here.. almost breathtaking at first. the staff: 5 star. absolutely friendly and helpful. they all speak english enough for you to communicate your needs. hotel room: 1 star. the room is cleaned up and the bed made. however i found a couple strands of hair on a newly made bed under the covers.. and the bathroom still had water on the floors enough to make it humid upon entering. those are honestly the two most important parts of a hotel accomodation in my standards and both weren't satisfactory. the worst part is that the water doesn't go down.... i showered with dirty water flooding my calves and feet. that is honestly.. gross. service: 5 star i called in for new towels at 10pm and they brought it to my door. i also saw staff members carry a new tv to a room, which with a little eavesdropping, found out their tv wasn't working. if that isn't good service i don't know what is. facility: 4 star restuarant and bar is near the lobby. along with the golfing range and course starting area right there too! no need to walk far nor take your car out. there is a children play area with a huge trampoline and playhouse. it isn't cleaned down so i wouldn't let babies go there. trampoline also needs a little fixing. swimming pool is of decent size. there are so many places to take a stroll and it is absolutely beautiful near sundown.

It's gated, clean and has both a private golf course and a hotel and restaurant in addition to homes. We really wanted to like this place, but the owners, who are mostly expat's, have their heads so far up their butts that this was by far, the WORST vacation we ever had. I have 4 little kids. Kids make noise. I got a notice to keep it quiet, during the day, like 11 am... Are you kidding me?! My kids had to stay in doors, with the windows closed until we left to go to the beach. Our place had no AC, so just imagine how hot it was... The next morning, some kids were yelling at the pool and others running around the neighborhood making noise. IDK if they got a notice or not, but this place is just BS. To top it off, on July 4th, there was a golf cart parade complete with American flags and glitter and, you guessed it, loud noise. Hey, I love the US and celebrating the 4th is in my blood. But don't put your retired, I'm better than you rules on tourists. The same tourists from your same home country. Come on...

But I will say, I was a scratch drinker that day, and the views made every swing (and sip) worth it. It started as the perfect quiet couple's round with just us, taking in the scenery, chatting, and enjoying the well-kept, super fast greens. Then about halfway through, two super chill (and very loud) dudes in jeans rolled up and joined us. Not your typical golf attire, but honestly they were hilarious. The vibe totally shifted from romantic to ridiculous, but in a good way. They did crash their cart at one point (they were fine), and it kind of felt like a scene from a buddy comedy. (Also, they were Dodger fans, but we ended up liking them despite that. )Their attire and behavior tells you a lot about what is acceptable behavior at this course. The course is well maintained, not crowded, and full of natural beauty. The homes you wind through are beautifully landscaped, and the whole place has a peaceful, resort-like charm. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the pricing as it's a bit steep for being in Mexico, though still fair for the views and quality. If you're looking for a unique golf adventure, Bajamar is totally worth the drive down from San Diego. Next time, I might actually focus on my swing. Or not.

So I told her "since you don't know what it is, I want it removed from my bill" and she acted like she didn't know how and then she turned to who I assume was a Lead or Shift Manager who then turns to me and says it a surcharge for card payment.... As I held a $50 bill in my hand that I had out since before she typed in our order. He did remove it and we paid without the surcharge, but look, if you're gonna force people to pay for your employees benefits at least have the balls to tell me to my face instead of lying about it. There is room for improvement and if I do visit this establishment again I will be very aware if they apply this "benefits surcharge " that is apparently only applied to card transactions.

After some research, my wife discovered this hidden gem tucked away in an up-and-coming part of the city, just a short 3-mile drive from our hotel--and it was absolutely worth it! Instead of simply explaining there may be an extra charge, one of the workers came out making comments about how "that's a lot of sauce for one burrito," which honestly felt unnecessary and unprofessional. To make things worse, the business response on here exaggerated what I even asked for. I never asked for 9 salsa cups -- I asked for 6 total (3 red and 3 green). The salsa cups are also extremely small, which is why I asked for extra in the first place. The issue was never really about paying extra. It was about how the situation was handled. Taco shops all across San Diego either have salsa bars or don't make customers feel uncomfortable for asking for extra sauce. If there's a limit or additional charge policy, that's completely fine -- but it should be clearly posted beforehand instead of making comments toward customers after they order. The food is decent, but professionalism and customer service matter too. This experience definitely changed my opinion of the place. I attached photos for reference. The salsa cup they serve is the one next to the lighter, and as you can see, the portions are extremely small. That's the reason I asked for extra salsa in the first place. I also included a comparison photo from another taco shop in San Diego that has a full salsa bar and doesn't make customers feel uncomfortable or judged for wanting extra salsa.
