Really delicious food. Fresh ingredients and a lot better value than most fast food. Healthier too.

I must update my review to five stars after today's experience! I visited Acapulco today around 1pm…read moreand the restaurant was bunged, at first when I walked in I was unsure if I'd get a table. The extremely helpful waiter allowed myself and a friend to sit on a table set for four! The waiter was impeccable throughout, promptly taking our order and ensuring everything was ok! The food was excellent, one of the best burritos I have ever had. Although the portion was huge it was so tasty that I could not stop eating. Today I went for a chilli beef burrito (medium). The burritos come with a healthy serving of salad and a few nachos! The whole set up is great - seats around 30 people and service is fast enough for you to grab some great food on your lunch break!

Incredible food here. Acapulco is the best place for Mexican food, hands down! Been here twice. It probably was the best burrito I have ever had. I got shredded annatto pork in mine, with the hot sauce (which isn't really hot, it's just the right kind of hot). Pure beaut! If you are in the mood for a burrito, check out these guys. Don't just take my word for it, they won the title of 'Best burrito in Belfast' in the mouthing-off series of events that Yelp held.

Tacos are soft by default, which I think makes good sense in terms of trying to hold them together when eating them. I'm happy enough about the food but after having to wait for weeks turning to months for this place to open, they could have given more consideration to the people-flow aspects of design and layout. If the place is busy, the queue obstructs the flow of people from counter to seating. Then anybody sitting by the window has to cut through the queue to access the waste bins. Surely there are better ways of doing this. The counter could have been operated in the opposite direction with the queue directed anticlockwise around the wall by a balustrade. Then anybody leaving the counter could access all seating areas and bins without crossing the queue or squeezing past it.

Generous portions, really flavourful food and staff were extremely helpful advising about spice/ heat levels. Plenty of tables but with a quick flow of customers so it's relatively easy to get seated. Window-side tables are great for a spot of people watching with views onto the street outside. Would recommend and will return.

As promised in my previous review of Johnny the Jig I am updating things as I've now tried their…read moregrub. I was actually lured in here yesterday by a sandwich board outside saying 'Buy one get one half price on Burgers' but to my disappointment that deal only starts after 6pm - so don't get caught out. Once inside I didn't want to be 'That guy' who leaves once he finds out a deal isn't available - no one likes 'that guy'. So I stayed and I'm glad I did. The lunch menu isn't too expansive - it consists of a few starters, mussels, wings and chowder and for mains you can pick from 7 pub favourites like fish and chips or burgers. Having convinced my wee brain I was getting a burger before I walked in I went for a Mexican burger - it was priced at £12 which I initially thought was quite steep but once it came out I realised it was well worth the money. The burger was cooked to perfection (we were asked how we'd like it cooked - I opted for pink) and it was topped with spicy beef chili and huge chunks of chorizo - nice and sloppy and full of flavour. It was accompanied by potato cut chips, you know the type that have the skin still on one side for added authenticity. Can't fault the food at all and the staff are excellent - we were seated promptly, offered drinks and our orders were taken as soon as we were ready. A really great lunchtime destination. 5 Stars for food!
