Annoyingly they still have it on the printed menus, which really should not be the case when it no longer exists. The 7 pound deal for chips a drink and sandwich is pretty decent. I think the sandwich could use some more flare and the chips could use a little seasoning but all in all its a good quick service. Adore city centre La Taqueria, so was delighted when one opened on Ormeau Road. This is truly…read moredelectable Mexican food, and more vegan options have recently appeared, which mean greater variety for 'us lot' - hurrah! Seitan tacos with vegan cheese (so good, they are heavenly) have lately appeared as a special. In addition menu staples such as oyster mushroom, prickly pear cactus and fire-roasted pepper tacos and quesadillas, along with a wickedly delicious guacamole starter are the main vegetarian/ vegan fixtures. Cocktails are exquisite and the frozen margarita is quite possibly one of the best drinks on earth. Interior is relaxed, if a bit small/ cramped and I love the Mexican themed wall art and murals. My only criticism is that it's an inconvenience to have to go to the counter to collect and pay for your bill - especially awkward when with a group and you have to stand about trying to work out what everyone owes. As La Taqueria are a table service restaurant it would be much easier if a bill could be left to a table first to be looked at before payment. Not quite sure why they don't do this. Outside of this minor gripe, all I can say is - the food and cocktails are amazing - cheers to La Taqueria.

Magnificent moments are made of this = Margaritas, Mexican food, great service, magical atmosphere and a chilled vibe. We indulged in a menu of authentic, delicious food. I've been to Mexico twice and can vouch for the fact that La Taqueria really do sell fresh, truly authentic Mexican fare. I loved the guacamole with tortilla chip starter, oyster mushrooms with green chilli quesadilla main and side of crispy potato cubes, sour cream and herbs. Cocktails were fantastic, nothing like I've ever tasted before. Pure, unique flavour combinations which worked together superbly. The wine list boasts Spanish, Chilean and Argentinian wines and the Spanish wine was luscious. La Taqueria is a wonderful addition to the Belfast restaurant scene and offers great Mexican flavours which cannot be found elsewhere in Northern Ireland. It's super to see clearly marked vegetarian dishes on the menu and some vegan options too. Everyone in my party loved La Taqueria and I've already booked a return visit.

It's nice to find a place that has big windows for looking out at a gorgeous day and also patio seating for those who want to feel the sunshine on their face. I walked up the dark stairs to be greeted by one of the most friendly waitresses you are ever likely to meet. She sat me at a table of four even though I was on my own which made me feel less of a loser. I sat down and browsed the menu made up of various burgers. I was going to go for the double cheese burger when the waitress came over and showed me their offer. A double cheese burger, fries and a drink for £8! Unreal! I obviously went for that deal, helpfully guided by the waitress. The food took about 10 minutes to come, the chips were served on a tray and the burger dame covered in foil. Packed lunch style! The chips were deep fried but still had a potatoey consistency. The burger was American style just the way I like it. A soft bun and a tender burger patty with plenty of fresh salad. Incredible! The decor is dive style! Think graffiti! They have an alcohol licence too so if you fancy a beer and burger knock yourself out! Easy five stars, for service alone. This is my kind of place, can't wait to go back with some company!

I sort of found it strange that this place opened around the time that Five Guys appeared in Victoria Square, given that it has basically the exact same menu as Five Guys, with the exact same idea of it being a sort of "build your own" with as many toppings as you want. Kind of felt like they were trying to ride the coat-tails of Five Guys, but unfortunately they don't seem to be doing a very good job of it. It has the same high price as Five Guys (for 2 people, one having a double burger with bacon, the other having a single burger with cheese, some angry fries to share and two milkshakes, it was £24), but unfortunately it doesn't quite have as much of an appeal in terms of the quality of the food. The burgers are quite dry, they're extremely messy, which isn't a great thing if you're trying not to spill it all over yourself, the redeemer is the crack sauce which is pretty great. The fries are strange, they're the same quality as you would get from a good chip shop, but I don't think they goes very well with the whole American restaurant aesthetic they're going for. Really, if you're wanting to support local, eat here. If you're wanting to have something a bit more put together but for the exact same price, go eat at Five Guys.

Service was brisk and cost excellent at circa £5 for my meal plus a bottle of mineral water. Grapevine's major drawback is the size, it's a very small cafe with few seats. The positives of Grapevine are there for all to see, it is in an excellent central location for both office workers and hungry shoppers. It also has brilliant outside seating. Smokers will feel welcome, as each table is equipped with an ashtray, which is actually something you don't see too often these days. Inside they have Special Boards literally crammed full of delicious lunch options. Whitebean Stew and Homemade bread caught my eye and it's definitely something I'm going to try on my next visit, provided it hasn't been scrubbed off the specials board. I love the seating set up inside; they have those big high benches with stools that face out and you can sit and watch the world go by while enjoying a coffee, bit of fruit or a hearty stew. Overall I think the Grapevine is an endearing wee café, it's got everything you want from a city center food shack - beaut grub and a relaxing set up, I'll be back that's for sure.
