Rushing to get our show to black friars theaters! We get there at 1:15 and met with a interesting waiter! We ordered two beef tacos and made it delux ! The waiter was a young man . He wrote everything order in a notebook! He also could not understand how to give me an extra taco! He was extremely nice ! The ambiance was low key! The food was good! The bill for four tacos and fixings plus a beer was over $35 ! If this country wants to elect someone with no political experience who is racially insensitive and golfs... Great atmosphere. Downtown Staunton vibes are incredible. Buddha Bowl is literally one of the tastiest things I've eaten! Staff was young and super friendly.

Korean BBQ on the specials menu. Love this place.

I love Baja Bean in Staunton, Va. this Staunton go-to restaurant is ran by a friendly bunch of folks -- love them. My favorite thing about this place is that it's NOT the typical Mexican (for Americans) place you're thinking of. Sure they have tacos, fajitas, burritos, etc. They just do cool, creative things with the standards on their menu. Their specials are always fun. I swung by on a random Thursday for a late lunch at 3pm. Of course, they had an awesome Korean BBQ dish on the specials list. I recall having a special years ago here that involved a raspberry coulis....... I think it helped cut the heat in a dish for the faint of heart? Heaven.

A sad chili relleno, lost it's cornmeal dredge and the flesh of the poblano or Anaheim turned black in the fryolator.

My how things can change. Stopped in here about 3 years back and had a decent lunch. Ordered "lotsa guacamole" and underneath a fresh looking top was a gray/black unappealing mass. Two fish tacos contained a frozen battered piece of fish chopped up into little bits covered with lettuce in a very raw flour tortilla. The chili relleno was dredged in corn meal, which didn't survive the deep fryer, and sat atop the plate, blackened. Salsa was made with unripened, nearly green tomatoes, and flavorless. Yes, I should have said something; instead, I paid too much and left a barely eaten lunch in disgust.

Grande nachos-of course half eaten. LOL

Taco bell quality with less flavor. Waited 20 minutes after eating for just the check.

I liked the radish on top of the taco and I liked the choice of salsa. My only complaint is the lime in the green sauce and guacamole. Lime should always, always, be served on the side. It's not appropriate in the food. It's always an add on in Mexican cooking. It's much too overpowering and ruins the flavor of the food. The food should stand on its own. I highly recommend a visit to this establishment!!

They have two vegetarian tacos, and I rather liked the more "real food" sweet potato and black bean than their tofu taco, but both were delicious. Upon seeing they had a seasonal special salsa; I was glad I took the option to order it as it was delectable and I liked it enough to haul what I didn't use back with me to save for another day. Their rice and beans have a vegetarian option, and given the option for various indulgences, I went for a semisweet chocolate cake, the sprinkles on which were unnecessary but fun. The salt level in something (or everything) was excessive, which had me gulping water. And it's a shame, because they could dial it back and this would still be some quality food.

The underneath of one side of the table was leaking with what it looks like yellow/light brown liquid that stunk. There also was a window beside our table with about 5 killed flies on it and several flying around us. It is not usual to have flies and especially in the summer time but this was unusual for this place considering it has never been like this. I truly hate to write this review but I wanted others to be aware. This was one of our favorites but sadly we will not be back.

There were murals on the wall, and other paraphernalia as well. Our server was friendly and attentive, and she was quick to offer refills as well. The cuisine is specifically Sinaloan Mexican, so it is heavily centered around seafood. There were so many unique entrées that I know we're going to have go back and try more stuff. I ordered a shrimp dish ("Camarones al Gusto") with their Diabla sauce. The sauce was very tasty with a medium level of spiciness and a little tang. My mother ordered their Jalapeño Roll, which was a sushi-styled dish. This is the one negative about our meal: she thought the Jalapeño Roll didn't have enough jalapeños and the flavors weren't strong enough. We split fried ice cream for dessert. They have a wide selection of Mexican beers and tequilas. I ordered a Negra Modelo, followed by a Victoria. All in all, I really liked this restaurant, and I look forward to returning.

Tonight I got two kids meals, they're out of some items, fine we got replacements, that happens, they miss one drink. We ordered whatever fancy chicken limited time offer thing, everyone got the basic chicken. They loaded up the taco box's we got for the adults with enough cheese for probably like 29 tacos lol, then gave only some of the actual toppings we ordered in little cups. Meat portions were wildly different for all tacos. This was ordered in the app, so there were no communication issues. I think the move if you really want chipotle in Staunton is to ensure you dine in so you can verify you're getting what you ordered.

The condiments were lacking, as there was literally one bottle of Tabasco out and there were no salt packets. ALL, and I mean ALL of the trash cans were full. At one point, my wife was puzzling over which of the three overflowing bins to throw the trash when an employee came walking toward her. "Oh, good," she thought. "He must be here to empty the bins." Nope, he passed right by and exited Chipotle and walked into Jersey Mike's next door. Also, the men's bathroom was in disgusting condition. There were no paper towels and the trashcan, like the rest of them, was filled to the brim. And the music deserves its own review, but I'll just tag a summary on the end of this one. Suffice it to say it was intrusive and obnoxious. One "song" was literally just a woman's auto-tuned chortle over a synth beat and I swear it was adversely affecting our toddler's eating, because as soon as we got him outside where we couldn't hear the music, he actually began to eat. Chipotle, do something about your environment. The tables were messy, the trash bins were overflowing, the bathrooms were gross, and the cacophony of noise played over the speakers did not qualify as music. The staff are nice, but things are not getting done. It just feels like they want to do the bare minimum.
