And to think that our group was going to go to chicano boy tacos instead. Great food, service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

I stopped in last week for late lunch. There's a hostess stand in the front, but, no one came up front to seat me. I decided to walk to the bar in the back because the bartender was the only person I saw in there besides a couple half way down seated at a booth. I ordered a beer and asked for a menu. After the bartender served my beer he disappeared and a waitress took my order. I never saw the bartender the rest of my meal. I would've ordered a second beer had he been at the bar any period of time. The waitress was pleasant did check on me twice. The restaurant looks like it was renovated on a shoestring budget. You can still see all the serving windows from when it was Cici's and if you don't walk around the restaurant to find someone, you probably won't get seated. The back bar was barely stocked and most were the same bottles and glasses just to fill in space. Bourbon selection was Jack Daniels or Jim Beam. Plenty of Jose though. Food was ok. Best part of the meal was the spicy salsa had some kick for once. The food was just ok and covered with melted cheese and very little sauce. That's a first and last visit for me

I have to rave about this place. The food is fresh and delicious. It's more like the Mexican food I'm used to. Service is always great too!

Solid, but not amazing food. Nice staff, quick service in a nice setting. They do takeout and are quick about it as well.

I liked the radish on top of the taco and I liked the choice of salsa. My only complaint is the lime in the green sauce and guacamole. Lime should always, always, be served on the side. It's not appropriate in the food. It's always an add on in Mexican cooking. It's much too overpowering and ruins the flavor of the food. The food should stand on its own. I highly recommend a visit to this establishment!!

They have two vegetarian tacos, and I rather liked the more "real food" sweet potato and black bean than their tofu taco, but both were delicious. Upon seeing they had a seasonal special salsa; I was glad I took the option to order it as it was delectable and I liked it enough to haul what I didn't use back with me to save for another day. Their rice and beans have a vegetarian option, and given the option for various indulgences, I went for a semisweet chocolate cake, the sprinkles on which were unnecessary but fun. The salt level in something (or everything) was excessive, which had me gulping water. And it's a shame, because they could dial it back and this would still be some quality food.

It wasn't…read moreair-conditioned, though there was indoor and outdoor seating and a decent amount of shade by the time in the evening that I made it there. There was only one person working on the Monday I stopped by, but it was a busy place, and thus not the speediest service. Substantively, I found that my horchata was a strong, nutty beverage. They were out of a tamale that I wanted to order so I just got a bunch of pupusas, including typical options like bean and cheese but also the more distinctive collard greens. They came with an interesting curtido, a lightly pickled cabbage slaw that had a variety of ingredients. Overall, not a 100% smooth experience, but a good way to bring a distinctive flavor to the region.

This is not only an item that I will order again but one that I will talk about every chance I get. The other Pupusas we had were good, with the chicken being the other standout. The chorizo and carnitas were good, don't get me wrong. They just didn't stand out like the collard greens and chicken ones. Outdoor patio is the place to be. The people watching and breeze were just delightful. So why not 5 stars? The service was a bit slow for my liking. Every table outside had to go in to ask for something as the servers didn't make it outside enough.

The place always seems busy, but I can't figure out why. I've Door Dashed three times and live only 900 yards away, according to Google, so it's nothing that happens in delivery. It's just horrible Mexican food. For example, I got a taco salad once, a simple taco salad. It was bean soup in a shell. Maybe a tablespoon of ground beef, an ounce of lettuce, and refried beans. Nothing else. No flavor. I used it for a dip. I've purchased the fajitas; tasted nothing like any fajitas I've had in my life. And i can't remember the third thing anymore; probably a good reason why. I'm done trying. I really recommend you look elsewhere if you want good Mexican food.

We show up and end up waiting over an hour for our order. The entire lobby was filled with customers waiting. We were there so long, I almost felt a kinship with the other customers by the end of the ordeal. The next time we go, the rice is barely cooked, it was literally crunchy. Enough said. This brings us to today. I place an order on the mobile app for chips and salsa and burritos. Come to find out they're out of chips. How convenient I've already paid for the chips and am told I can't get a refund or even a voucher to get the bag of chips next time. The girl just says to explain the situation and they'll give me the chips another time. I ask for her name but she would only give me the managers name. We'll see if they honor the bag of chips but at this point, I'm very underwhelmed with this location and will hope for better service once the Waynesboro location opens up.

I then asked the cashier if that scan also attached my rewards number to my order so I'd get points. He said no, I needed to scan my rewards too. So I did. He told me my total, and it seemed a bit high, so I questioned him and asked if my drink was taken off. He said yes. I was still a little hesitant because I knew the total was high, but I went ahead and paid. When I asked for a receipt, he had already crumpled it up and handed it to me that way. When I looked closer, I saw my drink was in fact not taken off. He said he'd need a manager to refund me for the drink. The manager was clearly unhappy with me, one of the least friendly interactions I've had with a manager. She told me that because I scanned my rewards after my free drink reward, it voided the free drink. But again, the employee is the one who told me to scan my rewards, and also told me my drink was taken off. Just an overly frustrating experience. I was given the wrong information by the employee, then made to feel guilty and stupid by the manager on top of it.
