Dinner tonight was absolutely delicious. We chose this restaurant out of all the others due to the outstanding reviews and yummy pictures displayed online. This location would have received five stars if my husband's black beans and the enchiladas were warmer. They were not quite cold yet, but they would have been if two more minutes at the very least had passed. We will be returning and are excited to try other menu items! PS, try the piña colada. They used to be really good. This was the only Mexican restaurant we'd go to in the area. My husband went and ordered there at the restaurant . Chicken quesadilla, Light cheese, and please add spinach. This was à la cart.. Chicken quesadilla with rice Bean & cheese burrito. Ordered white dip. Received Watered down salsa (red) NO white dip - White dip (not the white cheese) Never have had a greasy quesadilla. NO Spinach on mine. NO Light cheese. I couldn't eat mine. I used to love their food. Now?? I will NOT eat there again... EVER. Husbands chicken quesadilla had more cheese than chicken and it too was greasy Ordered two chicken quesadillas received three not edible. I ended up throwing mine away.. Bean and cheese burrito was nowhere as big as they used to be and not acceptable for the price. MY husband threw his out. Also he said the rice was beyond awful. He always esta regardless, well he threw out his whole meal and the extra quesadilla that was in our bag that we did not order. Everything was greasy and completely un edible such a waste of money. I do not know if this restaurant has changed hands or if they have a new cook in the back, but it is definitely not worth even going and that's so sad because they really really used to be really good. Do NOT WASTE YOUR $ Or your time.. There's other Mexican restaurants in the area which we will go to and try. This is SO SAD, cause this was out mainly go to Mexican restaurant. Plenty of parking, cute decor, and for those who don't have a babysitter, no worries Igauna Azul provides a play area for children. Very friendly people and amazing dishes. read more

We stood inside for 5 minutes and no one even knew we were there. You pay at the hostess therefore you have to wait for all the people paying to even be seated. This was our first time going here and it was a terrible first impression. 10/10 don't recommend. read more

Please don't go here, the service was extremely slow, the Texas fajitas we ordered were supposed to be chicken, steak and shrimp and it was almost all shrimps, the kicker tho was this sorry-arsed flan, check out these photos, super disgusting and covered completely in mold on the tops. These flan look like Petri dish experiments, when I got home and my wife opened these she nearly puked. We came in on a Friday night and stood in the waiting area. For 15 min, no one from the staff acknowledged us even though we were the only ones standing there. They repeatedly filled online orders while we attempted to make eye contact. Finally, my husband asked the hostess about a table, and she raised her hands and said exacerbated "we're full!" and turned back to the computer. This was my second visit since moving to the area. The first time, I had the quesaberria (sp.) for lunch. It was fantastic! Hot, fresh and tasted great. There were a lot of people there and the only empty tables were because of social distancing. This visit was equally fantastic, at least for me. I had the lengua tacos, muy bueño. The lengua was cooked perfectly, moist and tender and had really great flavor. My wife had the enchiladas and a beef taco. She said they were just okay. Not bad, but not great either. The only bad thing is the lengua is only available on the weekends. But I guess if it was available every day, it probably wouldn't be as good. Definitely worth a stop if you like authentic Mexican food. Definitely will be back. read more

I was born and grew up in South Texas, and this place is solid! It is not a pail, Anglicized, imitation of Mexican food, it is the real deal. All the dishes that I have had were like a memory of home. The tomatillo sauce is fantastic and wonderfully tart. The fried burrito appetizer is a fantastic innovation. The fajitas are fantastic and generous. Great carne asada, bieftek Mexicano, green enchiladas, beans, quesadillas, salsa, ....! I eat here regularly and enthusiastically recommend it! read more

We were so excited to finally give this place a try. That excitement left the minute we tried the salsa. I can't put my finger on it but it had an odd jelly like tomato flavor. Salsa is my jam (pun intended) so I knew how the rest of the visit would go. Because of this I went with the safe option, a taco salad. So I thought...the first bite was sweet. Yes, sweet! How?? I don't know. The only thing I could guess was it was the oil that the shell was fried in. After doctoring with lots of salt & cheese dip I was able to get through it. Oh my goodness ! This place is the "real deal." My husband is from South Texas and I grew up in the Mission district of San Francisco, we have not tasted proper mexican food in many, many years. We asked for delivery on a busy night, had to wait about 40 minutes but in my mind that means just cooked, hot and out the door and that was the case. The portions were huge, items on the menu we have not seen offered on others, childrens menu was perfect and flexible ( substitute a hard taco shell for a soft one for a toddler ) this was a "date night" try but will become a regular go to when thinking about takeout. read more

When we did get our food, it came out piecemeal with the kids meal out probably 5 minutes before the rest of the food and then my quesadilla was delivered last and lukewarm. Husband ordered a 12 ounce beer and got a 24 ounce. I ordered a cocktail and it took 10 minutes before they even started making it. Seriously felt like we were an afterthought.
