At this point, they only offered their happy hour menu, which consisted of smaller bites of limited menu items at a lower price point. Most items fell between $6-$8. We ordered some drinks, plenty of rolls, and a few appetizers. Our food came out quickly and quite fresh. The rolls were solid, and the salmon skin salad tasted fresh. The only dish I didn't love was the pork katsu, but everything else was great. In particular, the small serving carpaccio/sashimi bites were incredibly fresh. I would definitely be back for happy hour here again. I also hear that if you arrive just at the beginning of happy hour at 9PM, you can also snag some items from their full menu.

Our water glasses were always refilled before they were empty. TAKOYAKI: 5/5. Plenty of octopus with good crunch on the outside. The yuzu mayo cut through the richness nicely. TRUFFLE SALMON: 5/5. Super tasty, very truffle-forward. Salmon was fresh and firm. MISO BLACK COD: 5/5. One of the most buttery miso black cods I've had to date. I'll be coming back just for this. TERIYAKI CHICKEN: 5/5. Good char on the chicken, and I personally loved the addition of the bed of grilled onion under the chicken. Authentic, no. Delicious, yes. FRIED SQUID: 4/5. Pretty standard, the fry stayed crispy throughout out dinner. GYUKATSU: 4/5. The meat was a little tougher than what I would expect for this dish.

Service: we came around 6pm Sunday dinner! Not busy the time we came. There was a guy wearing…read moreglasses and a girl. Both were very nice! They were welcoming as well. 10/10 rating! Food: I ordered the beef gyugatsu. When you order (on the tablet) it will give you a choice if you want the full set or just the meat only. Of course I had to try the full set. It came with 2 sauces, salad, edamame, radish, rice, and a bowl of miso soup. It was delicious! Meat also came with a little grill for u to cook on and wasabi on the side. My partner ordered the curry pork cutlet. Pork cutlet was a tad bit dry, nothing crazy but the sauces that came with it made it better! It also came with miso soup, salad, radish, edamame, and a bowl of rice. Since my partner ordered the curry cutlet, ofc it came with a bowl of curry and katsu sauce on the side. Both meals were delicious! 8/10 rating for food! Ambiance: cute, clean, nice and small! You order on the tablet. They close around 830pm keep in mind! Overall I will come back to try their other food items on the menu!

I came here earlier in the evening with my boyfriend since we've been craving gyu katsu for so long…read moresince we went to Japan. We came the last hour of closing and there was still a couple of tables eating inside still. We were greeted upon arrival and we didn't need them to tell us how to order as the only thing on the table was the ordering tablet (self-explanatory). We ended up ordering the premium gyu katsu set along with the curry pork cutlet set that comes with rice and sides along with some beer. The drinks and food came out fairly quick and were steaming hot. I like that the curry came on the side so the pork cutlet wouldn't get soggy and you could pour over as much as you want over the cutlets. The veggie sides were a nice touch and complemented the meal well. The gyu katsu didn't taste like Japan to us, but it was still good especially with the wasabi and sweet soy sauce that came with it. If I came back here, I would give the beef tongue a try along with the creamy udon because those also seemed like a favorite for customers. Service here was friendly and we were checked up on multiple times without having to flag someone down.
