I've taken my bike here 3 times; the first time, it was stuck for a month just to replace a…read morescratched muffler and handlebar weight (and getting any sort of response was hard enough that I went in-person to go talk to them- a 40 minute drive just for information). The second time was a few days, but they couldn't figure out why my bike was stuttering, so I paid $280 for a simple diagnostic test. The third time, the most recent time, is why I will never, ever get my bike serviced there, again. It got sent in for wind damage, and was stuck there for two entire MONTHS. After one month, the department head finally contacted me, and explained the delays. There was a gap of 9-11 days that he couldn't explain, and said he would look into it (I never heard back about that). He did give me a list of excuses: they were training a new guy, customers are spoiled these days and expect to be treated like royalty, and my favorite: 'you've gotta break a few eggs to make an omelete'. (No, I'm not kidding. These were the excuses he gave to me complaining that they'd had my bike for a MONTH with no real update or timeline, and very sparse communication.) One month later when I finally got my bike back (in an incomplete state- more about that later), the handlebars were tilted, the left lever and mirror assembly was angled far more forward than the right one, and worst of all, the new chain's master link was incorrectly installed. The plate was pushed in so far that the x-rings bulged out (shredding within the 40 minute ride home), and the rivets were barely flared (5.22mm and 5.35mm when they need to be AT LEAST 5.5mm). The chain was too tight as well, even after I had made sure to tell them to refer to the swingarm's specs, which had the measurements printed on a sticker, impossible to miss. I tried contacting the department head again, but he never replied, so I messaged Hannah, sending pictures of the absolutely butchered chain job. She told me they'd need to see the bike AGAIN to tell what was wrong- but here's the thing. ALL of the other bike mechanics I showed the same images to knew that the job had been done badly. I got a small refund for the bad master link and some of the work ($90 of a $1900 job overall, which is ridiculous considering it was just replacing one body panel, the handlebar, chain and sprockets, and left lever and mirror). Then, a week later, the extra part they didn't install came in the mail (an indicator). I went out to install it, and realized that the indicators on my bike WORKED FINE and there was barely a scratch. When Mosites had given me the repair quote, I asked them SPECIFICALLY to remove ALL cosmetic damage from the quote and only fix things that affected the performance. Again, I messaged Hannah asking how I could send the part back for a refund. She told me it wasn't possible, and put the onus on me because 'I approved the insurance repair estimate.' I had approved it *trusting that the mechanics at Mosites had removed all cosmetic damage from the estimate*. They are now refusing to admit fault for their mistake on the repair estimate, so I had to pay for a $75 part that I didn't need. I never heard back from the department head regarding the dangerous, lazy job on the motorcycle chain, either (even when he gave me his direct line to message, saying to talk to him from then on). After talking to other riders on Facebook, basically nobody had anything good to say and told me that Mosites actually has a really bad reputation, it's just covered up by the positive Google reviews, causing newer riders to go there for service. So I'm writing this review as a warning to anyone thinking of going to their service department: if Mosites insists that their customers have to double check their work so often and second-guess their estimates because someone made a mistake, then their work is not worth your money or time. Look at the low-rated Google and Yelp reviews, that's the real story. (to add- the department head DID contact me over a 2-star review I left on Google. He seemed very focused on making sure I changed it, because 'we had talked'. Sorry, 'talking' doesn't change the fact that you're saddling me with an extra part and made my bike dangerous to ride.)

And was given exceptional service from the sales staff. The parts staff is what needs some assistance. I stood in the parts Coral for about 3 mins before I was asked if I needed help. I felt rushed by the associate. I was not given the same service the sales department gave me. I did make a purchase but Unfortunately they didn't have what I came for. I left with this unsatisfied feeling. I'm heading home. And I'll order the part online. Because I felt the parts department didn't really care if I was there or not. What a shame. Because this place really looks nice inside and out. Oh and one more thing. This is my first visit to this location. L

WTF is up with all of these negative reviews?…read more HORSE MANURE! I've been a customer of RRMS for a while now. They have always been professional and accommodating. Mostly i've used them for storing a bike or getting service done. Back in April, 2020, I purchased a brand new leftover 2019 Suzuki Boulevard C50 down in Kentucky and from day one there seemed to be a minor clutch issue (would shift from 1 to 5 but not from 1 to neutral so easily). I took it to Rick Roush in my Ram truck a week ago with only 55 miles on the bike's odometer and they came out to the loading dock area and figured out right away that the issue was, the factory did not set the clutch properly. It was at 9mm when it should have been at 2mm. They adjusted it, test rode it, and whattya know, the clutch works perfectly now -- goes right into neutral and all the gears easily. Great service. As far as selection and prices, I have not as of yet purchased a bike from Rick Roush but their selection has always been great and their prices have been fair. Obviously you can shop online, find the best deal you can, then see if Rick Roush can match. If you need to store a bike or you need service or parts, this is the place to go. They have always gone out of their way to accommodate me. I also needed an additional key for my bike and they made it fast at a reasonable cost. Definitely give Rick Roush a shot. Stay Safe!

What followed…read morewas a series of negligent misrepresentations, failed repair attempts, and what I believe to be deliberate omission of known mechanical faults that put my life at risk. Timeline of Events and Failures: 1. Upon purchasing the bike I rode it home the same day, and immediately experienced a loss of throttle power once the bike warmed up--a dangerous and obvious defect. 2. I returned the bike to Johnny K's Elyria. They retained it for several weeks with no communication unless I initiated it. Eventually, I was told it needed new spark plugs. I agreed to a reduced service fee (approx. $100) despite the issue occurring instantly after purchase. I was told by Johnny K's in Elyria the issue was solved and the bike was fixed. 3. When I arrived to pick up the "repaired" bike, it wouldn't start--dead battery. After jumping it, I drove home only to find the issue was not resolved at all. 4. I brought the bike back again, and was then told it needed a new throttle body, costing thousands. When I spoke with the Elyria manager, I expressed concern about being sold a defective vehicle. His response: "We priced it accordingly." This strongly suggests the dealership had knowledge of the defect prior to sale. 5. The dealership agreed to replace the throttle body--using a used component purchased on eBay. The issue remained unresolved after installation. 6. I was referred to another Johnny K's location, which then told me the bike needed a new ECU--another $900+ repair. 7. Seeking more qualified diagnostics, I took the bike to an independent motorcycle mechanic. They found: * The battery was defective and should have been caught immediately. * Replacing the battery and debaffling the exhaust improved the problem, but it persisted. * Ultimately, they replaced the entire exhaust system--and still, the bike was not fixed. * The mechanic now suspects the throttle body was never actually replaced, directly contradicting Johnny K's statement. Summary: * The motorcycle never functioned properly from day one. * The dealership failed to disclose critical issues and sold the vehicle in unroadworthy condition. * Internal communication was poor, repair attempts were ineffective or possibly fraudulent, and the manager's own admission suggests prior knowledge of the defect. * I am now over $3,000 into a bike that does not function--with mounting evidence that this situation stems from misrepresentation, negligence, and possibly fraud.
