Garbage. The worst customer service ever. No one answers their phone. I ended up going with Scripps. Much better service.

Interesting information about Dr. R. Alrezk, MD and Professional Bio:…read moreDr. Rami Alrezk, MD, MS, FACP is a triple-board-certified specialist in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, Geriatric Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He is the founder of the California Endocrine Center in Murrieta, CA. His pedigree is elite; He served as a Medical Director at the Cleveland Clinic and completed advanced fellowships at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), UCSF, and UCLA. Dr. Alrezk is not just a clinician but a researcher who developed the Geriatric-Sensitive Cardiac Risk Index, a tool now utilized by major health organizations to improve surgical safety for seniors. He is widely considered an expert in high-complexity cases, including neuroendocrine tumors and rare adrenal disorders. Peer Review: 5/5 Stars The Verdict: Dr. Alrezk represents the rare "physician-scientist" who successfully bridges the gap between high-level academic research and compassionate patient care. What Stands Out The "Triple Threat" Perspective: His background in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, and Endocrinology allows him to see the "whole picture." He doesn't just treat a thyroid; he understands how that treatment impacts the heart and the aging process. Scientific Precision: Having trained at the NIH and Caltech, his diagnostic approach is more rigorous than a standard community endocrinologist. He is the doctor other doctors send their "mystery cases" to. Patient Accessibility: Despite his world-class credentials, patient feedback consistently highlights his humility and clarity. He has a knack for explaining complex hormonal feedback loops in simple, everyday language. Conclusion: If you are in Southern California and dealing with a complex endocrine issue--especially if you are an older adult--Dr. Alrezk is arguably the most over-qualified (in a good way) and capable specialist in the region. My Review: Dr. Rami Alrezk is one of the best physicians I have in my care team. He is very knowledgeable not only as an Endocrinologist and Neuro Endocrinologist, but he understands the importance of treating the whole body. For years, many physicians I have had in the past, wanted to just jump in and put me on medication that I couldn't tolerate. There was a reason for that, but he was the only one who knew why. He also does ultrasounds, liver scans and Dexa scans in his office himself, which saves time on a diagnosis. I have never experienced the level of care he has for his patience from any other doctor. I guarantee you will get the best care if you establish with Dr. Rami Alrezk. He's one of a kind and quite impressive. Thank you Dr. Rami, for your caring attitude and expertise.

Sincerely appreciate all Dr. Rami and his team do for me.

I just got home from my first visit to Dr. Jou's office and I have never felt so compelled to write…read morea review and post it ASAP. Yesterday, I called Dr. Jou's office and, unlike the other three endocrinologist offices I called, his front office was extremely warm and welcoming over the phone. I felt it was a great start, but contained my enthusiasm for the time being because I have been disappointed down the road so many times before. Fast forward to today's appointment and the front office staff was just as friendly and accommodating in person. They respected the appointment time and got me back to a room not a minute later than scheduled. The nurse who started off my visit couldn't have been kinder and she even checked in with me while Dr. Jou was finishing up with another patient. When Dr. Jou entered the room, I immediately got great vibes from him and noticed his way of letting the patient talk and truly listening to what is being said. He allowed me to fully express how I was feeling, symptoms I've noticed, and never cut me off. He also entered everything I was telling him directly into his tablet. He was thorough in explaining my test results, options for treatment, and timelines. He did not rush anything and had back up plans for every scenario that were clearly well thought out. I honestly don't think I can say that I've ever visited a doctor who I walked out of their office without the regret of not having been given the opportunity to say something about my situation until now. Even on the 45 minute drive back home from his office, I couldn't think of anything that he didn't cover or allow me the time and opportunity to explain or ask. To add a shred of credibility to my words, I would like to say that my father is a (recently retired) cardiologist who had his own practice in North Hollywood. I spent countless hours with him there from the age of 5 years old through my late teens. Therefore, I know a bit about how difficult it can be to ensure your front office staff, the doctor, and the rest of the overall patient experience are all simultaneously performing at an optimal level. Somehow, Dr. Jou's office pulls off that seemingly impossible feat beautifully. In closing, health struggles can be very scary and stranger, friend, or family, I don't want anybody to ever have a poor experience with a medical office during such a vulnerable and stressful time in their life. Therefore, I sincerely hope that you strongly consider choosing Dr. Jou as your first option if you are in need of an endocrinologist. Wishing you the best of health and the best of life.

I've been researching my own issues for the past 4 years. This Dr knows his stuff. I hit the jackpot when I found him. Another bonus is he is right around the corner from my house! I would drive hours to see this doc! When I spoke with a pharmacist at the compounding pharmacy, she asked who my Dr was. I told her Dr L and she said he is one of her favorite Dr's. that he knows his stuff. I'm in bioidentical hormones at the age of 37. He ran the RIGHT saliva tests for my adrenals & sex hormones to find my exact deficiencies. In this last visit, he added a compounded medication that I used to take long ago. It's a controversial immune modulator that is very safe and could help me. He knew all about it. That's impressive. I could go on and on. This Dr has zero ego that I've seen. He totally takes your input. He took an hour with me at last visit to make sure all my needs were met and all questions answered. He is a very laid back guy. His staff is great too. He sends you home with a printed plan. One issue is that suddenly it was taking me over a month to get an appointment. I mentioned it to him and he explained. Greybill Medicals computer system had a glitch and allowed him to take on 250 new patients! He was working 14 hour days trying to get everyone in. He said so egging to management and they caught the issue and corrected it. So scheduling an appointment with this sought after Dr is going to suck for a while until it levels out. I made my two month appointment when I left. He also takes Medicare and IEHP/Medical! Quality for everyone.

The receptionist said they take care of the records. Then at the appointment Dr Joo told me I should have brought all my records in a file. I need to reschedule. Second appointment I am prescribed w medication for osteoporosis. Turns out these meds are blood pressure lowering, apparently the doctor didn't read my file, that I am already taking blood pressure medication. After 2 weeks of unpleasant low blood pressure symptoms my PCP saw what the problem was. I asked Dr Joo not to charge me for the additional appointment since I was misinformed by her receptionist. This is why Dr Joo is making all these rude comments on my refusal to pay for 2 appointments. Apparently this office is too basic to subscribe to the medical records services, plus incompetent staff makes the whole records process a bigger pain than it should be. Since then I have found excellent, professional care. If you have to, see an endocrinologist in other parts of the state through telemedicine, there are really great ones. It's hard enough to come down with a serious medical condition, no need to be put through this abuse by an arrogant and greedy doctor who really should go on psychiatric retirement sadly.

I cannot tolerate statins so she suggested Repatha, which Tricare approved. I love engaging in discourse with her because she's so attentive and so interesting. I owe her so much for helping me improve my health. Good healthcare is a true collaborative process and I'm grateful to her for the milestones we have achieved. She is a consummate professional who is also so warm & caring! These are qualities of a superb doctor. Ignore the horrendous reviews and give her an honest, fair chance. You will be happy you did! She usually gets right back to her patients, at least in my case, but in this case it was several weeks with no response so I figured maybe she was on a vacation. I was quite taken back when I found out that she had left the practice as I had just saw her a week prior to Christmas. . I never heard from her and I was pretty close to her as a patient and she knew so much about me and my medical and health needs. She helped me profoundly and I was absolutely grieved to see her go. It has been difficult to find a doctor like her. I have several conditions and a rare disease. She did not hesitate with unconventional and traditional approaches, and to listen to the patient and their needs as well as how they were feeling, to together come up with the solution that would alleviate the issues as well as provide hope for getting on a good path to overall health and well being and move forward to see what will work optimally for each of unique case. It is now April 2026 and I still am looking for a doctor that is even somewhat what Deborah Layton was.
