Came by today with a very excited 4 year old ready to try beginners ballet. At the door, I was told I had to wait until after Labor Day because classes were changing. I asked if they had an update schedule which they didn't but they took my information to send once available. I left with a very upset and sad 4 year old. WHY would they offer a complimentary trial class and tell you to literally "just show up" to then be sent way? Very unprofessional. I was looking forward in enrolling my daughter 2 times a week. Now I'm back to square one looking for a new school. I am still in disbelief that they would turn away a four-year-old that they would turn away a four-year-old just because they only had 2 weeks left this month. You just lost a new customer.

At the same time, these facilities are publicly funded through taxpayer money, including contributions from Miami-Dade County, and entry fees are intended to help cover operational and maintenance costs. Overall, this is a matter of balance: public infrastructure is supported by taxpayers, but users also expect fair pricing, transparency, and a clear value in return. They also have a lot of cheap community swim classes, including aqua aerobics, and times for just swim lane/swim laps. There are plenty of lawn chairs, even on the weekend, and the staff are helpful. Pool feels clean, the area is similarly clean. I did NOT go into the bathroom so cannot comment on those facilities. Plenty of free parking on the premise, and during the busier season (summer, I believe?) it looked like there were concessions and the slide would be open. All in all, I have spent several pleasant afternoons here when I did not have to work or got out early.

I am very pleased with how much I have learned with just one month of Bachata and salsa classes…read more Thanks to my awesome instructor, Jeanette, I have been able to learn the basics, follow my partner, and successfully complete turns. Jeanette is really passionate for what she does and take the time to break down every movement. She works with you if you're not understanding And keeps the class pumped at all times. Every class starts at a beginners level and goes over the basic footwork for each dance type. Then you move onto working on more complex foot work and finally get into pairs to practice dancing with someone other than yourself haha. You rotate partners every minute or so so you really get to practice with everyone in the class which gives you a taste of how it would be if you would go out dancing. As you can see, as the time progresses the class becomes more difficult. Every class is about an hour and a half and there is usually about 15 students present. The choice of music is excellent and to top it all off it is a great workout. I definitely recommend investing on some dance shoes because they will help you with footwork and turns. Be mindful that sneakers are not allowed on the dance floor. The place is located in a shopping center with ample free parking. Thanks to Salsa Kings I feel more comfortable with my basic salsa and Bachata dancing and I can't wait to learn more.

We applaud Fred Astaire for hiring instructors who are skilled enough to step in for situations like ours and who have an instinct for dance. Additionally, Nikita was very professional. He did not waste any time with idle chit-chat or small talk during our lessons. He used all 50 minutes of our lessons to teach us the choreography, drill moves through repetition, and correct our mistakes. He was always honest with us about how we could improve, and so we feel that we really got our money's worth with Nikita. The instructors are Alex Azambuya and Scarlett Ramirez which I met when I was attending classes at a different dancing studio. I have been taking bachata sensual and salsa dancing classes with them regularly and they are just awesome. The studio grand opening took place last Friday and will offer different dancing styles as well as monthly social mixers where student can practice what they learned in class. Generally, the bachata classes are Monday and Thursday 8:00-9:00 PM beginners and 9:00-10:00 PM advanced. Salsa classes are on Tuesday 8:00-9:00 PM beginners and 9:00-10:00 PM advanced. They have a Facebook page also where they generally announce the classes and times. I'm a regular student and have noticed a positive change in my body such as more toned legs and arms. Also, it's a great stress reliever. Highly recommend it :)
