If you want to learn authentic Cuban-style salsa, this is the place to go…read more Carlos brings over twenty years of dance experience across multiple styles, and it shows. His deep passion for Cuban culture, music, and movement forms the foundation of 3plus2's teaching approach and it's infectious. What really sets 3plus2 apart are two core philosophies: Fundamentals over choreography Rather than cramming a list of memorized turns, the focus is on the true mechanics of the dance: rhythm, body movement, connection, and flow. Once you understand the fundamentals, the combinations become limitless. You learn faster... and dance better. Real partner dancing Classes emphasize genuine leading and following, preparing you for social dancing, not just synchronizing in a rueda or hitting preset sequences. The result: confidence and creativity when dancing one-on-one with anyone. Since joining, I've progressed more in a short time at 3plus2 than I did at other schools. If you're serious about Cuban salsa and want a welcoming community to grow with, you'll love it here.

I've been taking classes with Carlos since March 2025, continuing with both group classes and private lessons, and his dedication, knowledge, and exceptional teaching methodology have transformed my life into a more vibrant and joyful one. What began with Cuban salsa--casino and rueda--quickly grew into a deeper love for Cuban dances, including Son, Cha-Cha-Chá, Rumba and other Afro-Cuban movements. Each style has opened new doors of expression, culture, and confidence. The 3+2 Cuban Dance community is truly amazing--welcoming, supportive, and inclusive. As a 64-year-old, I was embraced from day one and never once felt that age was a limitation. This school is a beautiful reminder that age should never stop you from pursuing your dreams or goals. We also attend socials frequently, which makes practicing what we learn in class both fun and motivating. Carlos Ramirez is an outstanding instructor--passionate, attentive, and fully committed to his students. Every class is packed with knowledge, experience, and heart. Absolutely worth every penny. If you're looking to learn Cuban dance the right way--with authenticity, structure, and joy--Carlos Ramirez and 3+2 Cuban Dance School come 100% recommended.

I have 2 main complaints and that's why I gave 1 star. First, The Master of Ceremony conducting the show, a male and female spoke a few words in English, other than that, the entire communication with the paying audience was in Spanish. In my view, this was entirely Disrespectful and Ignorant. The show was open to many dance groups from South Florida, the dance teacher and some students in my daughter's group do not speak Spanish. We are not in Latin America. Have common sense and speak in English/Spanish when an event is open to the public. Stop thinking that you are in South America. You are in Miami!!!!! Second, the food is overpriced. We ordered some items in which the non-English speaking waitress told a Spanish speaker, who then interpreted to me, that the portion size was significant. The order came and the portion was for a small child. The chicken tasted like burnt oil. The quality was terrible. I will not be returning to Karibe's. Unless you have a lot of tolerance and don't mind going to an event in which you don't understand the language, Spanish, Avoid Karibe's.

You really can't go wrong with either of them. For those of us who are newer to these styles of dancing, Demi breaks down the basic steps in a way that is so fun and easy to follow along. She does an excellent job tracking the class's skills and knows just how to slow down or speed up the lesson to match where everyone is at. Then in Raul's lessons, he shows you how to elevate your dancing by teaching you how to dance with a partner and giving you tailored, specific tips for looking smoother and more confident while moving. Raul's consistent positive energy makes classes with him such a blast. He is also the most talented lead I've ever danced with; he can guide anyone, regardless of their skill level or amount of prior experience. Dancing with him is always a guaranteed great time. Because Raul is extremely kind and supportive, he creates a really warm and comfortable environment for learning and improving.
