I say exclusive because first of all, not many people teach this style of dance AND not many people teach it CORRECTLY. I definitely, DEFINITELY highly recommend this place! - this place has all sorts of flooring for everything you or your kid, brother, cousin, friend would need to dance and learn on. Smooth dance floor, bboying floor, mats to flip and trick on, cushion-y mats to break your fall if you decide to be spontaneous and insane. - has extremely well credible and professional teachers. They can TEACH! They have trained some kids for sometime who are now 15 years old and one of them qualified to enter into a Red Bull BC One dance qualifier against other dancers who were twice, three times their age! - they have an entertainment team & company to hype up and represent your company and party the way you want it to be done in South Florida. - they are EXTREMELY professional. Willing to take the time needed explain to you how they teach, what they teach, when classes are held, how the curriculum unfolds, explain rates and etc. unlike MANY dance studios where I walk in and inquire information and they just usually slap down a piece of paper with their rates and hours on it. I recently worked and collaborated on an event with them and they were the most helpful, eager, professional company/brand/academy that I have ever worked with! I am excited to work with them more in the future and take classes!

Catalyst is a nonprofit lead by Joel Stigale that provides a place for the 4 elements of hip hop to exist. Not the commercial hip hop you may be thinking about, I'm referring to it in its original form: B-boying (breakdancing), DJing, Graff writing (Graffiti) and Emceeing (Rapping). This is not a dance studio, this is a true hip hop cultural gem that means much more. When I started there was only one that met at a church in Pembroke Pines on Saturday nights. I would go to practice breakin' and as a result met a lot of people whom I began to practice with the other 6 days out of the week and got a lot better. B-boy crews and b-girl crews formed out of these connections, now some of them have become entertainment companies, dance training academies and a lot of professional dancers who make a full time living off their talents. After those years at Catalyst I was able to move to NY and teach breakin' full time. I earned my b-girl name Destany which later turned in to the better fitting Destanation. Getting your b-boy/b-girl name is a part of the culture that is significant. Funk band Fusik played live and DJ Magic kept the original breakbeats and hip hop flowing. There's always battles and events hosted here, even now. I was there as it transitioned into no longer Pembroke Pines but Miami Springs twice a week. Now there's locations in Homestead and West Palm Beach. This is a ministry that gave a lot of us a positive outlet and laid a foundation for the rest of our lives. Significantly, we would stop everything during the evening and Joel would talk to us about God. He would be honest and speak in a way we could understand/relate to leading a lot of us to a closer relationship with God. There are not many places like Catalyst and it has the best fitting name because it sparked a true change for the better in so many people's lives and still does.

I learned so much in every single class I took. In university at USF I took a semester of ballet and the teacher complimented my technique as being the best one in the class, all thanks to the wonderful education I received at academy of arts. Now in 2025 my 3 year old daughter is taking classes and is enjoying every class. My mother, daughter and I recently went to the Christmas show and we were so proud to experience the show. It was such a great show, still professional and beautiful. 13 years later and Academy of Arts is still producing wonderful dancers. I highly recommend this studio to all dancers and artists who are eager to learn and perfect their craft.

This is a full dance school that offers: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Pas De Deux, Lyrical, Tap, Hip-Hop, Flamenco, Modern Dance, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Drama, Piano, Guitar, Violin, and Voice. The faculty is certified and have led professional careers in their respective areas of creative expertise. They begin laying a foundation from the preschool years all the way to young adulthood. And they have both female and male students. They also offer an AfterSchool program and work your child's classes at a mutually suitable schedule. The cost of the classes is comparable to other dance academies. I have enjoyed closely watching the development in my niece, as well as in many of her close friends. I also look forward to their professionally-mounted recitals every year.

Thank you all the dancers and musicians and Suzanne for a espectacular performance! By the way the performers looked in great shape and not old and chubby like a lot of them do! . The actual show was magical ! We had 3 male drummers and 2 beautiful female dancers they were all truly amazing ! The entrance was spectacular not to mention the choreographed dances,. Our guests were thoroughly surprised and it was truly spectacular. The girls brought me and my husband out on the dance floor with them, taught us a few moves and formed a conga line with all our guests going throughout the entire reception space. Thank you Suzanne and Brazilian Beat for adding so much fun and entertainment to our special day!

I was excited, nervous and leapt hyping myself up the whole drive from Palm Beach County lol The studio itself is located near Wynwood but since it was a Sunday afternoon the area was not too busy. Parking- this is where the lost star rating comes in. It's a really small parking lot and there are only 4 designated 'free' spaces. Any other spots within the lot were a $15 fee through cash or zelle. When I walked in there was a class already in session and our party assembled in a small room at the back of the studio. Everything else about my experience (other than parking) was great! I loved how supportive the instructor was to ensure that we are not only getting the most out of our experience but was doing so in the safest way possible. I had a bit of a challenge with some maneuver as an anxious first timer but I know for sure I'll definitely be back to this studio if the opportunity presents itself but for sure other local studios with similar aerial fitness classes. I love that it wasn't a mixed group, we were able to just laugh, be in community and celebrate our friend! All this to say- highly recommended!!

The instructor was very nice and really challenges you to step out of your comfort zone. When we got there we had to wait a while because a previous group had ran over time and delayed the next group that was currently in progress. While we waited we had bites and bubbly to kill time. Even though we had to wait an hour to start, we still had a nice experience. It was well worth the wait. Our group for the class was a total of 10 girls. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday. Parking is limited and since the other class ran over time, most of us had to valet or street park with pay by phone. The class was very interactive and they had music playing the entire time. It was really a blast and I'm glad we got a chance to experience this new activity. Definitely would come back to do it again!
