Purchased a @groupon for this place and it turned out to be better than expected. Jeff is awesome to work with and Olga is as well. The studio was clean and welcoming. I'm giving it 4.5 stars because of the scheduling process and less than stellar welcome. Initially, I was a little apprehensive. I take my massages very seriously so if the massuess' energy is off then I will refuse to be serviced and vice versa. It turned out very very well! This studio is so cute and charming. I visited for the first time yesterday and my instructor Keily was awesome. She had just the perfect amount of enthusiasm! I typically am not a fan of instructors who are drill sergeants, Keily is kind, knowledgable and she gives you the perfect amount of push to keep you going. I took her Barre/dance class. I burned more than 300 calories and I felt great. I'll definitely sign up for her class again. I'm all about the instructor when it comes to my fitness routines. Keily is good. "Phenomenal experience!" I wish I had not waited so long to try this place out; this was the most intense (in a good way) and relaxing private yoga session I have had in my life! It was rejuvenating and relaxing at the same time. My Yoga instructor Sarah was great. She was very in tune with my body.I have a tendency to have a lot of tension in my shoulders, and back, and some knots. Sarah is incredible; she helped finding stressed areas in muscles and joints I did not know were there! She also gave great advice on stretching techniques I could practice in the interim to relive tension. She knows her stuff - especially related to my muscle tenderness. I was lucky enough to have Jeff & his team host a Beach Bootcamp for the saturday morning of my bachelorette weekend in Miami. It was HARD but so much fun and a great activity for all my girls to enjoy together. Jeff and fellow trainer Joseph (who is hilarious, and a great photographer) put on a great session for us. They are knowledge and pushed us throughout the whole session. They had ropes, agility ladders, yoga mats, towels, & water bottles are set up for us outside our hotel on the beach. A few months after purchasing a massage package as a gift for someone, I finally had a chance to experience Enhanced Movement for a meditation session and massage! I have a packed schedule because I am a medical student but have always been fascinated by Eastern practices during my studies. Western medicine is intended to be preventative, curative, and focuses on the history of the present illness, diagnosis, and treatment. Eastern medicine offers holistic and naturopathic approach to care for the individual and considers aspects other than the physical disease. Incorporating both worlds is necessary for the best outcome and I was excited to step into a different perspective at Enhanced Movement. I never practiced meditation before, but the instructor helped me to focus on mindfulness of my breathing. Of course, increased levels of carbon dioxide is what drives breathing and too much retention of carbon dioxide can make you acidic. With a hectic schedule, breathing itself is sometimes something I forget to do! I finished the class feeling more relaxed and yes my acid base balance felt more at equilibrium and I was able to clear my mind of mental clutter. After the meditation, I began a massage therapy session with Jeff. He used four different techniques on me. I started out as a tense, scared shaking chihuahua but once he magically worked the knots out of my back, somehow my tension dissipated. The ashiatsu massage (he worked on me with all his weight using his feet) did something to me. I think I was reborn after that point. I'm constantly sitting in class and he offered some pointers on how to stretch at home to relieve tension in my glutes. I felt like I was still unwinding in layers after the treatment and spent the rest of the evening reflecting and strolling on the beach, which is located steps from the boutique style facility.
