My daughter has been dancing at Intensity Dancers' Studio for 3 years. She was in recreational dance 1 year and joined the competition team 2 years ago. Intensity was and still is my home for last 13 years. I met my second set of parents - Mari, Jen, and Maria - my best friends I call sisters, and a support system that will be there for time to come. This studio was my entire childhood. I spent more than four hours a day there, every day, and I loved every second of it. I started when I was 6, and I grew up to join the competition team, auditioned and made it into New World School of the Arts, and started training with the New York City Rockettes during the summer at age 15. I plan on auditioning soon to be a Rockette, and I have Intensity to thank for preparing me for such a decision and future. I started off not knowing anything about dance, and now here I am, a 21-year-old still loving/needing the art, and pursuing it for my future (as well as other things). If you ask my parents, every penny was worth it, and yes dance requires many, many pennies. But sometimes you have to invest in something that you know will be worth it. My daughter has been taking classes at Intensity for 8 years now. She started in recreational classes with Ms. Maria as a young child and I was immediately impressed with love, attention and quality of instruction she provided. I am a teacher and was a former dancer that grew up in a dance studio so I knew what to look for and this was it. My daughter has continued to grow as a dancer and more importantly as a young woman with the guidance of all the wonderful teachers and staff (Mari, Garrett, and Jen to name a few). My daughter began dancing at Intensity at the age of 3 and the decision was made purely out of convenience due to the location and class time. It has now been 7 years and she can not picture herself dancing anywhere else! She began with taking the ballet class with Ms. Maria Saturday mornings and automatically created this bond with her that to this day is intact! Ms. Maria had patience and was very nourturing while laying the foundation for the love of dance. I switched dance studios to Intensity at the beginning of my sophomore year of high school in 2012, and I could never have made a better decision! Intensity is a studio full of passionate, dedicated teachers and equally as passionate and hard-working dancers. When becoming a part of Intensity, whether you are simply taking classes or auditioning for the competition team, you are becoming a part of a FAMILY. 4 years later and now living in a different state, I can easily say that each time I come home to Miami, the first thing I want to do is go back to Intensity and dance with the teachers and dancers who impacted my life in the best way possible. First off the school is in a great location! I can shop while my daughter dances. I love that it has multiple types of dance (ballet, jazz, hip hop ect) and if my daughter really gets into dance - she can join the competitive program. The teacher has a long history as a dancer - she even danced for the University of Miami. I also like that the school has been around for about a decade so they definitely know how to teach dance. I like the way they keep things fresh by bringing dance instructors to choreograph classes from other cities. Lastly it seems family oriented everyone knows each other and the girls all seems to be friends outside of the studio. read more

My daughter began her love of dance at the tender age of 3 and continued until she graduated from High School. This love for dance was cultivated and nurtured at Intensity Dancers' Studio. My daughter has been going to this studio since she was a baby she was only 2 1/2, now she is 12 years old this year she will celebrate her 10 years in this studio, intensity is part of my family and our amazing parents that help one another. We have the most AMAZING TEACHERS that help our kids to become amazing dancers and they receive lots of love from there teachers. I grew up at Intensity. I started dancing there when I was about 7 years old and I remained loyal to the studio until I graduated from high school in 2015. Even now as an alumni, I still continue to visit and support them at their recital and competitions whenever I can. I made memories and friendships there that I will cherish forever. A great school! They have two great locations. The staff is very supportive, and the instructors are great.
